Really Strange Places in the World

We've all spent enough time on this planet to know simple things like trees grow out of the soil, river water is cold and, if you follow it long enough, you'll eventually end up in the sea.
But what about places where trees don't grow out of the soil, places where rivers run hot and don't end up in the sea? Well, stay tuned, as we're about to show you 10 of the Strangest Places in the World.

1) Devil's Kettle, USA
There is a point on this river where the waters split. However, the bizarre thing is; we only know where one of the streams ends up. No scientist has been able to identify where the other one ends. They've tried dying the water, and dropping ping pong balls in it, to see if they show up somewhere else. But the don't. They just seem to disappear.

2) Movile Cave, Romania
This cave was shut off from the outside world for over 5 million years, giving birth to a completely different atmosphere with its own eco system and around 33 species that live within it. It also contains a lake with sulfuric waters, making the air highly toxic.

3) Hessdalen Lights, Norway
Here, since the last 40 years, strange lights in the sky happen almost every night, sometimes they just shine, other times they seem to dance, appear and disappear... there are hundreds of theories as to why this happens and there have also been many tests conducted to explain the phenomenon, but to no avail.

4) Lake Karachay, Russia
This lake is located inside a nuclear power plant and is so radioactive, you can die after just 1 hour of standing next to it. Due to being once used as a nuclear waste dumping ground, it is now one of the most radioactive places on the planet, even more than Chernobyl!

5) The Double Tree of Casorzo, Italy
This is a spectacular cherry tree that's actually growing out of the top of a mulberry tree. Both trees are strong healthy as, aside from other parasitic plants, this cherry tree has managed to grow roots that travel through the hollow trunk of the mulberry tree, reaching the soil. Amazing!

6) The Sleeping City of Kalachi, Kazakhstan
No one knows why this happens, but the citizens of Kalachi have been known to suddenly collapse into the floor, falling asleep at any time and with no memories of what just happened. The gender or age doesn't seem matter either, anyone can be a victim of this strange phenomenon. Medical tests, carried out on the victims, always come back normal and the cities around don't appear to suffer from it, so... weird...

7) Circles of Namibia, Africa
In the middle of the desert, thousands of strange circles can be seen among the grass. No scientist has been able to explain why, despite all their efforts testing termite behavior and other theories. There is still no explanation.

8) The Sounds of Taos, New Mexico
20 years ago, the citizens of Taos started to hear a strange hum all across the city, and ever since, there has still been no way of identifying its origin. Some just get used to it but for others, it drives them nuts.

9) Eternal Lightning Storm, Venezuela
In this location, there is a lightning storm over a river that never seems to stop. It starts every night at 7 pm and lasts for about 10 hours. However, in 2010, it mysteriously stopped for a few weeks and then started up all over again. All theories about this phenomenon have been dismissed and there is still no explanation available.

10) The Boiling River, Peruvian Amazon
This river, Shanay-timpishka, is famous for being so hot that nothing can survive inside it. Its waters run at 200ºF. The logical explanation would be that river is situated near a volcano, but there are no volcanoes in site! One theory is that water travels through fault-lines in the earth, geothermally heating the groundwater that rises from the Earth's crust, causing the river to reach such temperatures. But... who knows?

Which of these strange places would you like to visit?

SAINT MOTEL - A Good Song Never Dies (Official Audio)

A Good Song Never Dies by SAINT MOTEL from The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: Part 2

Listen to The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: Part 2 out now.

Stop, now let’s begin
You’re in too deep to go back again
Cash, it’s pay to play
You want more hits than Lemonade
No, You don’t own me
You don’t even know me
Who, this vagabond
With a two part path to the great beyond
How, stay genuine
A ground floor opp, I can help you find
Oh, you’re a dreamer
Call me when you’re Bieber

And when they play it you can’t help but sing along
That’s nothin odd, that’s nothin wrong

Cause a good song never dies
It’s just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never

Hope, the wonder drug
Don’t work no more, think I took too much
Sweat, your equity
Make the caffeine be your weaponry
What is the reason
There never was one needed
Fear, it’s all around
But it weighs too much to slow you down
Now, is the time to act
Cause the best defense is a timeless track
No, you don’t own me
You don’t even know me

And when they play it you can’t help but sing along
That’s nothing odd, that’s nothing wrong

Cause a good song never dies
It just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never

There was a moment a hole opened in the sky
A chance to join their pantheon
For all the times they never heard your battle cry
Now even angels sing along

Cause a good song never dies
It just reminds you of where you were
The first time it made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never dies
Like a lover who won’t back down
They pull you over to the side
Look you straight into the eyes
No a good song never
No a good song never
The first time they made you cry
The first time you felt alive
No a good song never

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland Travel Guide

Join us for this travel guide to Glasgow, Scotland as we highlight 20 of the best things to do in Glasgow including visiting distilleries, trendy restaurants, hopping pubs, fascinating museums and more attractions.

This is our second time visiting Glasgow, UK and our city guide is a combination of footage from our visit this year and last year. Glasgow has a thriving food scene (both Scottish food and International) and we give you a thorough food tour as we bite our way around the city.

In terms of major attractions Glasgow (Glaschu) doesn't have many iconic places to visit as nearby Edinburgh; however, I feel one of the advantages it has over Edinburgh is that the city is more spread out and each neighborhood has a distinct character.

One of our favorite places to visit was the University of Glasgow which has a campus that would make Harry Potter proud. Whether we were visiting breweries or distilleries or having seafood for lunch or dinner we found no shortage of things to do in Glasgow, Scotland.

Now let's explore Glasgow (Glesga) together!

Our visit Glasgow travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (Scottish and International), top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting distilleries, breweries, churches and museums and Glasgow by night for pubs and entertainment. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Glasgow tourism brochure, Glasgow itinerary or Glasgow, Scotland city tour.

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland travel guide video transcript:

In today’s video we’re going to be showing you around Glasgow, Scotland. This is a city that we visited last autumn and then again this summer, and on both visits, we ate like kings and queens because it turns out, Glasgow is a great destination for foodies.

Since we never got around to making a travel guide on our first visit, today we’re going to be combining the footage from both of those trips to show you some of the best things to do in Glasgow and also some of the best places to eat and drink it. So let’s get started!

And that’s a wrap for our visit to Glasgow, Scotland. We loved our two visits and we’d gladly return for a 3rd. This is an amazing city for foodies and there are so many great bars, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries to visit.

Also FYI - if you’re already visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow is just a short 50-minute train ride away, and it’s a city with its own unique vibe.

If there are any other fun things to do in Glasgow that you’d like to share with travellers, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments below. Wishing you happy travels!

This is part of our Travel in Scotland video series showcasing Scottish food, Scottish culture and Scottish cuisine.

The World's Most Dangerous Approach - Paro, Bhutan

Join me on a flight with Bhutan Airlines (Tashi Air) A319 from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan. Paro Airport is situated in between mountains and valleys at 7,332 ft above sea level. The approach is well considered as one of the most dangerous and most spectacular in the world. Check out the amazing landing footage.

In addition, the flight also flew across many top 10 mountains in the world include Mt Everest.

Join us for a spectacular and thrilling, up close, documentary look at the world’s most dangerous airport landing at Paro airport in Bhutan. Make sure you watch all the way to the end of the video to catch the sped up, bird’s eye view of the fabulous and graceful twisting and turning of the aeroplane on its approach to the landing strip of Paro airport, the sole international airport of Bhutan located six kilometres from Paro in a very deep valley on the bank of the river Paro Chhu, and how the runway suddenly appears from nowhere. It takes a real aviation expert and a very steady hand to make a safe landing at Paro airport!

In this video, we fly from Kathmandu airport in Nepal to Paro airport in Bhutan using Bhutan airlines. After a brief look inside Kathmandu airport’s executive airport lounge, we board our flight and meet the chief pilot of Bhutan airlines – we’re in safe hands; only a handful of trained captains are qualified and certified to land at Paro airport and it takes a minimum of eight to ten years of intensive training to become a captain.

We examine the runway at Kathmandu airport which is very bumpy and, interestingly, has no taxiways to the main runway, necessitating the use of some tricky manoeuvres and, needless to say, keen attention paid to air traffic control.

The flight is only forty minutes long but the flight is still packed with events and sights. In the video, we see most of the top ten highest mountains in the world within the Himalayas including Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse and the tallest of all, Mount Everest. We also see the mountains of Bhutan within the Himalayan mountain range including Jomolhari and Jitchu Drake. The pictures of the snow capped mountains of the Himalayas are breath taking and we hear the captain’s opinions of why he thinks there is less snow now than there was in previous years.

We also enjoy lunch with champagne on board and we enjoy sharing a specially made cake with the Bhutan airlines crew to celebrate our travelling with them to the legendary Paro airport of Bhutan.

Paro airport is surrounded by mountains as high as 5500 metres and only has a single runway of length 1964 metres. Its single terminal was constructed in 1999 and it is a hub for two airlines: Bhutan airlines and Druk Air. Paro airport is such a difficult airport to land in that it can only be used in visual meteorological conditions and operational hours are restricted to daylight hours between sunrise and sunset.
