Meeting Locals in Rincon Puerto Rico | LifeTransPlanet

Join us for a week in Rincon Puerto Rico, meeting locals and learning what it's really like to live there, travel vlog style.

We'll tour you through our charming Airbnb studio at Mango Mountain with its gorgeous ocean view, show you some beaches around town, and introduce you to some awesome locals living in Rincon, including Natalia, the owner of Rincon Mail.

Natalia will share what it's like to live there full time, including safety, surfing, traffic, lifestyle, real estate, and home prices. We'll also discuss the kind of people who live in Rincon, how they feel about mainlanders, and how it compares to living in the San Juan metro area.

Then we'll take you with us to some of our favorite restaurants around the area, including Cafe 413, The Beach House, Casa Islena, and The English Rose. Always in search of foodie waterfront dining, several of these restaurants have fantastic ocean views and delicious, healthy meals.

We also meet up with Cassie, Britton, and Aeden from YouTube Channel LifeTransPlanet, pick up some random new friends who just happen to be free that day, and go on a little local adventure with an easy hike to neighborhood waterfall and swimming hole, Ultimo Brinco.

Then we go on to see a favorite local's beach, where you'll find the Bote Millan, with its gorgeous, sandy beach views. Afterward, we move on to drinks and appetizers at the beachfront Villa Cofresi, another favorite local watering hole.

The whole experience turns out to be an absolutely magical day in Rincon—watch the video to learn why... :)

Don't miss our series exploring real estate on the northwest side of the island, including Isabela, Aguadilla, Aguada, and Rincon.

And be sure to check out our San Juan series of videos, where we explore the top, up-and-coming neighborhoods, including Calle Loiza, Ocean Park, Isla Verde, Santurce, El Gandul, Tres Talleres, and Guaynabo.

Our FAVORITE beach in Rincón, Puerto Rico!

We're back! (although we never really left....) Ever since our business re-opened we have been wrapped up with work... but this weekend we finally made it back to the beach.
This was the very first beach I (Valentina) visited when I moved to Puerto Rico. Five years later, it is still our favorite secret spot. It is great for swimming and paddleboarding. Because it doesn't have much coral, it is great for families with children. ENJOY!

Visit Rincón Puerto Rico!

Stay at The Beach Pad in Rincón, Puerto Rico.

Rincón, the ‘town of beautiful sunsets’ is also known for its record-breaking waves, relaxed culture, lush environment, friendly inhabitants, and delicious food. The Beach Pad is conveniently located in the middle of Puntas, just steps to Sandy and Pools Beach. Next door is the popular Kahuna Burger Bar. They have great burgers and it is a popular spot to go for a drink at night. Tamboo Bar and Grill is just down the street, right before Sandy Beach, and has beautiful ocean front dining. Go for a swim and sushi at Pool Bar Sushi! Located a block away and is a must visit, they have an outdoor dining area and bar around a pool with a large screen where old surfer films are typically shown.

Rincon Puerto Rico Air BNB Tour

Puerto Rico travel vlog January 2020. This vlog was filmed before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rincon, PR is one of the coolest surf towns with some of the best Air BNB's on the island. This Air BNB had 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen & living room. The best part was the outdoor space and pool. The pool is shared with a few other Air BNB's. In my two days there I only saw a few other guests.

Beautiful suite with an amazing view:

Pros: Amazing views, pool, short drive to the beach & restaurants
Cons: Bed was really uncomfortable

Places I Visited:
Taco Loveland
Tamboo
Rincon Beach Cafe
Jack's Shack
The Beach House

Rincon Farm and Beach Life with our Little Survivor Man in Puerto Rico -May 2021

In this episode of life events we stop at a few beaches including Playa Lala in Rincon as well as the strip of beach along Guaniquilla, Aguada, Puerto Rico where Aeden tests his skills as a survivor man. We work on the farm and have lots of new blooms to show for it including a water lily and a huge new ginger flower. We stop by Playa Almendros in Rincon to see the construction project that had been in the news. We stop at a few places to eat and generally enjoy this tropical life.

Our West Coast Rincon Puerto Rico Farm and Daily Life -Summer 2021

In this episode of daily life in Rincon Puerto Rico, we work on the farm pruning part of a mango tree, go to a pulguero, gather and harvest mangos, visit Playa Lala beach, eat out at a few restaurants and enjoy our time in Rincon and Aguada.

Rincon Lighthouse | Surfers and Whale Watching | Travel Puerto Rico

Rincon Lighthouse is a great spot for Whale watching during January through March during whale migration season.

Built in 1892 and restored in 1921, the Lighthouse is closed to the public but the grounds are accessible and surrounded by a beautiful park. There are several brick gazebos, plenty of shade trees, benches, and a small snack shack (Ola Sunset Cafe).

The beach below is known as Domes beach and it a popular beach for surfers. Rincon Point hosts several annual surfing competitions and is ranked the best surfing spot in Puerto Rico. The surf is typically bigger during the peak swell season of winter and the beaches can get really crowded.
The Boiling Nuclear Superheater (BONUS) Reactor Facility is the white domed shaped building visible from the Rincon Lighthouse park, which gives Domes Beach its name. This decommissioned nuclear plant in Rincón is one of only two boiling-water superheater reactors ever developed in the United States.

09:36 FINAL THOUGHTS - THANK YOU!

Our trip starts with a 1 hour and 40-minute drive to the town of Isabela. Located on the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, Isabela is a unique town for a weekend visit or escape from the city. Isabela should be on your to-do list when visiting the island, because this town offers every activity you could possibly dream of. Isabela has perfect places to surf, snorkel, scuba dive, hike, go for a long bike ride, or just eat a fantastic meal.
20 minutes driving to the west, you will find one of the most incredible and beautiful beaches on the Island. Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla

This paradise is ideal for snorkeling, swimming or just having a relaxing fun day on the beach with friends and family.

Restaurants we visited on our trip!

If you want to have an incredible BBQ experience, we recommend visiting Twyfords BBQ in Isabela, here you will find delicious authentic BBQ, and a spectacular view!

But if you are craving Puerto Rican Food you can visit Desecheo in Aguadilla. We had a yuca and plantain Mofongo stuffed with Chicken, Chorizo and skirt steak, all dressed with a Guava chimichurri and melted mozzarella cheese. Ahh, and the most amazing coffee crème Brulé ever.

Located on the Southwest side of the island and approximately 2 and a half hours from San Juan we found Playa Buye in Cabo Rojo. Calm turquoise waters, beautiful smooth white sand and a great ambiance makes this beach a nice place to spend the day or even a weekend, since there are some cabins where you can stay minutes from the beach.

If you are into hiking and exploring and want to wander off the beach for a second, you can walk west of the beach where you will find a fascinating trail. Guaniquilla trail is a magical path along the shore of Buyé Beach. This trail is full of birds, lizards and the soothing sound of the ocean while you hike. After about 20 minutes, You’ll get to the top of a hill where you can see las “ruinas de Guaniquilla” and also an incredible view of the Laguna Guaniquilla.

Easter at the Faro, Collapsed Building, Farm Flowers & Fruit, Rincon and Cabo Rojo Beaches -Drone!

Our daily life on our flower farm. A variety of new fruit and flowers are coming in. We explore our area of Rincon going to some beaches and even explore an abandoned collapsed building. We eat out a couple of times and spend Easter at the lighthouse hunting eggs with the kids. We have a quick stop in Aguadilla where we see the old ice skating rink as we have a drink. We also spent a lovely beach day at Punta Ostiones in Cabo Rojo. Overall we have been very busy and having fun too!
