Top 15 Strongest / Most Valuable Currencies In The World

Today's video is about the Top 15 Strongest Currencies In The World
Please Subscribe Now...

In this video, we are taking a look at the top 10 strongest currencies in the world. The strength of a currency is determined by the degree of purchasing power of the currency in other countries. The strength of a currency is basically the strength of the economy of the country that powers that currency as well as the demand for the currency in the world. A strong currency is one whose value does not fluctuate easily in the exchange rates and one which has international market demand. Sometimes many believe that the US dollar is the strongest currency in the world but that’s not true. The US dollar is the most traded because 64 percent of foreign exchange transactions are made in USD, followed by the euro which is only 19.7 percent. That’s why it’s quite reasonable to base this list on setting US Dollar as the standard unit for measuring the value of currencies.

How rich is Africa [2021 UPDATES]

GDP, or Gross domestic product, is the total monetary or market value of all the finished goods and services produced within a country’s borders in a specific time period. It provides an economic snapshot of a country, used to estimate the size of an economy and growth rate.

Although GDP is generally used to measure the wealth of the country, it has limitations when it comes to determining the state of living of the country, and it is mainly influenced by population, because the higher the population, the higher the number of hands to produce products and services.

Here are ten most richest countries of Africa, measured in GDP.

Number1
Nigeria, US$496.12 Billion
Officially, the Federal Republic of Nigeria it is a most populous country in Africa, found in the West African region. Nigeria is one of the world's most ethnically and linguistically diverse nations; covering an area of 923,769 square kilometers, with a population of over 211 million.
This country is Africa’s leading economy, and the 30th largest economy by GDP volume in the entire world. However, Nigeria's economy is highly dependent on oil and is therefore very vulnerable to fluctuate with the crude oil prices and production.
In 2020, the GDP was over US$ 400 billion, generated by the services, agricultural sector, crude oil and mining industry.

Number 2
South Africa, US$ 386.73 Billion
Often called 'the rainbow nation'. the Republic of South Africa is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in Africa. South Africa has a highly developed economy and advanced economic infrastructure, making the country the leading African economy and home to 75% of the largest African companies.
South Africa is rich in mineral resources, The country is the world's largest producer and exporter of gold, platinum, chrome and manganese, the second largest palladium producer and the fourth largest producer of diamonds. mining and manufacturing accounts for around 2.2% and 2% respectively of the GDP.
According to the International Monetary Fund's, the economic growth is expected to pick up in 2021, estimated at 3.1% of the GDP, and to stabilize in 2022 at 2%.

Number 3
Egypt, US$ 331.36 Billion
Egypt is a country in North Africa, borders the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, neighbored by countries include Libya, the Gaza Strip, and Sudan. According to the International Monetary Fund's, April 2021 forecast, GDP growth is projected to contract further to 2.5% in 2021 and recover to 5.7% in 2022.
The economy of Egypt is divided into three broad categories—agriculture, manufacturing, and services with Services being by far the biggest contributor to GDP, accounting for over 68 percent in 2018.

TOP 10 RICHEST COUNTRIES IN AFRICA BY GDP 2020/21 - LARGEST ECONOMIES

Top 10 richest countries in Africa by GDP.
Largest African economies 2020
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nominal GDP measures a country’sgross domestic product using current prices, without adjusting forinflation. Contrast this with real GDP, which measures a country’s economic output adjusted for the impact of inflation. While the two indices measure the same output, they are used for very different purposes: changes in value versus changes in volume.

Deeper definition

GDP is the core measure of a country’s economic health, totaling the monetary value of all goods and services produced in a given time period, minus the value of the goods and services used up in production. Businesses large and small rely on GDP for major planning decisions. For investors, GDP is a guide for estimating profit margins and making financial decisions. Economists use it to understand the economy and make forecasts.

Nominal GDP

Nominal economic statistics, also called current-dollar statistics, are not adjusted to account for the price changes from inflation and deflation. The natural rise and fall (mostly rise) of prices is captured by nominal GDP, which tracks the gradual increase of the value of an economy over time. If overall gross domestic product rises 2 percent in a year and inflation runs at 2 percent over the same period, nominal GDP will be +4 percent for that year.

Nominal GDP is the preferred figure for comparing GDP to other variables that also don’t adjust for inflation. For example, debt is always calculated and expressed as a nominal figure, so debt-to-GDP ratios are always based on nominal GDP. Because inflation is baked into nominal GDP figures, it can give an inaccurate view of growth.

TOP 10 WEAKEST CURRENCIES IN AFRICA

Welcome to this video about the top 10 weakest #currencies in Africa, via Afrokonnect.

Each currency represents the financial difference between their respective nations.

However, various African currencies are struggling with significant challenges, this has rendered them among the weakest on the continent.

These currencies face several factors, such as inflationary pressures, fiscal imbalances, and geographical uncertainties.

All these factors help depreciate these currencies against major global currencies.

Factors such as inflation rates and monetary policies play a significant role in a currency’s valuation.

It helps in shaping the fortunes of nations and impacting international trade and investment.

Economic Factors Affecting Currency Strength

This section of the video will focus on the economic factors that affects a currency strength:

1. #inflation Rate:

The higher the inflation, the lesser the purchasing power of the currency.

A high inflation rate also lead to a decrease of confidence among investors and consumers.

2. Fiscal Policies:

Policies made by the government such as taxes and budget deficits can influence the currency’s strength.

Sound fiscal policies such as a balanced budget can contribute to a stable currency.

3. Trade Balance:

A country’s imports must be balanced with its exports to ensure a strong currency.

A country that exports more causes its currency to be in high demand hence strengthening it.
