Especially now, if you are shopping for an ebike, you will likely have to buy your electric bicycle online. It would be difficult to say the least to return a bike ordered online-- especially if you decide you don't like it after you assemble it. There are some very important things to look out for when buying an ebike including range, watts, and more.

4. Best option: pedal assist AND throttle

8. If you want to do hills, get 500 watt or more

The Electric Bike Company Model C is one of the most powerful cruiser style electric bikes on the market today, available in any custom color, two frame styles (high-step and step-thru), but only one frame size with an adjustable stem, bike can be made to order with several options for color and accessories. Single-speed drivetrain is simple, quiet, and durable, but makes starting from standstill difficult without using the trigger throttle, mounting point for adding a derailleur if you want gears. Bright integrated lights help you see at night and keep you visible in traffic, two battery size options help you go further, upgraded 12 magnet cadence sensor, brakes, and color display. Bike is a bit heavy and the weight and cost goes up as you add accessories, some of the steel parts can get scratched so be careful with custom colors, and is only single speed unless you opt for a derailleur.

Our Lectric XP ebikes have been with us as we travel across the United States in our RV for two years now. They have been incredible assets that allow us to nimbly explore National Forest roads, BLM desert trails, and urban cities with ease.
We love our Lectric XP's, but honestly, they could be better. Lectric knew this and so they just released a new and improved Lectric XP 2.0 which we were lucky enough to test! Two guys from Lectric drove out to our campsite in the Dixie National Forest in Utah and hand delivered two of their new ebikes for us to ride.
I was instantly impressed by the build quality. The original XP is good, but the XP 2.0 is made with such great attention to detail I could visually see and feel the quality improvements they made. But that's not all, way more improvements have been made and we show them all in the video! We walked through the Tern booth at Eurobike with Steve Boyd the general manager of Tern USA. We got to check out the newly introduced HSD models as well as some exciting updates to the GSD including the introduction of a limited edition matte black color and the new Atlas kickstand.
