Join me today on one of the world's most luxurious First Class flights, onboard ANA the Suites. With a luxury private, enclosed space it's the perfect environment to relax over a ultra long haul 15 hour flight from Tokyo all the way to New York City. We'll also take a comprehensive look at the other classes of travel, including The Room, ANA's Business Class suite.
As always i'll review all the product features, from the Japanese dining available, to the inflight entertainment and of course the bed. I'll also show you how I paid for this ticket (as usual i'm self funded, and the airline had no idea I was coming).

As always with my trip reports, I'll share with you all elements of the experience from the luxurious bed, Japanese tasting menu, caviar and various premium amenities.
Starting in Chicago, my flight will cross the international date line, meaning technically I will be onboard for two days before arriving into Tokyo's Narita Airport. Given I've recently travelled onboard Singapore Airlines First Class, as well as ANA First Suites (both on their Boeing 777-300ER) I feel this review will be an interesting point of comparison between key luxury airline products in the Asian region. Today I’m onboard ANA’s brand new First Class, called The Suite; flying from London Heathrow over to Tokyo Haneda airport. I'll explain the process of what it's like to fly onboard The Suite during 2021 to Tokyo, Japan. This product is offered exclusively onboard their Boeing 777-300ER and only on a select few routes to London, Germany and the USA. My flight today is near empty, which incidentally means I’ll have the entirety of First Class to myself all the way to Japan.
It's incidentally a super expensive First Class to fly, and until recently only bookable utilising a return miles redemption. As always I’ll walk you through a comprehensive trip report of the complete All Nippon Airways First Class experience from departure, lounge, onboard service, food, drink and the bed! Watch this video to see what it’s like to travel onboard Japan’s Shinkansen Train! This high speed bullet train is not only one of the world’s most famous trains, it’s also the world’s first High Speed Train!
In this video, you’ll see what it’s like to travel on the Shinkansen High Speed Train in the Green Car, which is similar to First Class. You’ll join us as we start in Osaka and travel north, to Tokyo. The 319 mile (514km) trip will only take about 2 and a half hours thanks to the high speed train!

Correction: The trains are not MagLev yet. MagLev is still under development and is estimated to launch within a few years.
We're leaving Tokyo on a 2-hour trip to Kyoto, at speeds above 300 kilometers per hour, without leaving the ground. We're doing it by taking the world-famous Shinkansen bullet train between cities. And we booked their first-class green car to see if it's worth the extra cost. If you've seen our Milan to Paris episode, you already know we're not very good at trains. So will this be a fast and simple point A to B or are we on the fast track to another stressful day of travel?

ANA B777 First Class Tokyo to London + New Pokémon Eevee Jet
I was invited to the Pokemon Eevee Jet unveil event in Tokyo with a newly painted ANA B777-300/ER featuring Pokemon character Pikachu and Eevee. I was supposedly to fly from Tokyo to London in ANA First Class “The Suite” on the Eevee Jet the next day…
ANA flight from Tokyo Haneda to London use the new Terminal 2 International facility. I visited the new ANA Suite Lounge, it was quiet and spacious but I found it lacked privacy. At the gate, there was some disappointing news, the new Eevee Jet went tech and was substituted by a B777 in ANA regular livery. Nevertheless, passengers still received the Pokemon souvenir during boarding.
The ANA First Class Suite was impressively wide and came with all the usual First Class amenities such as comfort kit, pajamas and even a cardigan on loan to passengers. Flight time to London was over 14 hours with unusual routing flying North via the Bering Sea, Alaska, Arctic Circle, and Greenland. This is to bypass the Russian airspace due to current restrictions.
After takeoff, I went to check out ANA Economy and Premium Economy product offerings. The Japanese airline offers better meals and legroom in Economy. Back to First Class, I enjoyed a five-course dining and went behind the scenes on how the crew prepares Japanese Washoku meal onboard. We flew past some incredible sceneries over the Arctic and Greenland on the way to London. Before landing, I gave my thoughts on the ANA First Class product.

$345 Riding the Japan's Most Luxurious FIRST CLASS Bullet Train from Tokyo to Hokkaido
◆Gran Class is a more luxurious seat than the green car on the Japanese Shinkansen and is available on the Tohoku and Hokkaido Shinkansen (E5 and H5 series), the Joetsu Shinkansen (E7 and W7 series), and the Hokuriku Shinkansen (E7 series).

NEW Japan Airlines First Class JAL A350-1000 Tokyo to New York JFK - MAGICAL
*TURN ON THE SUBTITLES* I was lucky enough to try Japan Airlines' brand new First Class suites on their new A350-1000 on the way back from Tokyo Haneda to New York JFK. It's was a magical trip from start to finish. While I loved the business class on the way there JAL's new First Class sets the bar very high. Their service was incredible, the crew was one of the best I've ever had on a plane, and the food was delicious. The new suites are, in my opinion, the best first class seats out there. I liked them better than the Emirates' Game Change 777 First Class seats.
