SECRET NORTH KOREA | YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT IT'S LIKE

I'm just back from North Korea - this is what it's like. Imagine living like you were on a movie set. Welcome to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. Imagine having to wake up everyday of your life and perform like you are on a movie set and if you don't - it could mean death?

This is real life North Korea today. I travelled to North Korea and filmed this so you can see what it's like.

Some of this footage is secretly filmed.

You'll get an idea of what it is like to travel to the most isolated country in the world. Visiting many places, including the capital Pyongyang and the poor countryside.

Please do not judge the North Korean people in this video. It is impossible to make a fully balanced view of the country by traveling there - on a controlled guided tour. This video is simply presented to give you an indication of my travel experience and my thoughts after returning.

North Korea is a unique, if not slightly weird experience. It was safer than many countries I've visited. Hopefully, this will give you another perspective on the DPRK.

Thanks for watching.

The Taedonggang beer shop is a popular bar in central Pyongyang, named after North Korea's favorite beer. There aren't any stools or chairs, so patrons have to stand around tables.

Abandoned Ski Resort Near North Korea ????????

???? SEORAKSAN, SOUTH KOREA (7.6)
Alps Ski resort used to be the most popular destination for Koreans until it was closed down and abandoned in 2006. It's hidden away in the mountains, on the north side of Seoraksan national park and to get there from Seoul takes 4 hours by car. Everything has been left behind!

At the entrance there's a guard dog and an ajoshi to deter explorers, so me and Bart entered through the back and went straight to the top of the resort for breathtaking views of the complex. We then headed to the swimming pool where we realised we were being followed by the ajoshi with the dog. it was time to escape without being caught.

???? The Strange Land of North Korea (DPRK) ????

⛄ NORTHEAST PASSAGE ON ICEBREAKER ???? -
This is a film about a traveller in the strange land called North Korea or officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Tours to the DPRK are tightly scheduled and normally include a visit to the demilitarised zone, museums and statues to Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il, Pyongyang’s amusements parks, chandelier-laden metro system and showcase entertainment facilities such as the Circus and the SchoolChildren's Palace. In addition to these, I took a flightseeing flight on a Mi-17 helicopter over the DPRK's capital city of Pyongyang. As well, as my tour was an extended one, it also went the northeast of the DPRK to the tri-country area around the Rason Special Economic Zone where the DPRK, China and Russia conjoin.

The cult of the Kims is perhaps the most extraordinary feature of the DPRK. Images or statues of Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il are found everywhere. These graven images are effectively worshipped. This film shows scenes of the veneration of the Kims (Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il) that were witnessed.

The government guides control both what you can see and also what you can take photographs of. If you take a photograph of the military, construction or something that they feel does not portray the DPRK in a positive light then they force you to delete the photograph. On exiting the country, the border guards also reviewed photographs to see if they conformed to the aforementioned standards. Despite these restrictions, this film contains images that accurately portray the state of the country as I saw it.

My LIFE in NORTH KOREA - a TRIP to PYONGYANG!

North Korea has been on my list for years and finally I made it. This short VLOG should give you a little impression of what it is like to travel to the DPRK or better known as North Korea.

I went on a 3-days tour starting in Dandong, China. I went with Young Pioneer Tours and it was an incredible experience.

I don't have an opinion on whether it was staged or not, whether they are bad or good, or how I feel about the whole trip. I went to the DPRK as a tourist and for a cultural exchange. From human to human, without a political agenda.

Rare Look Inside North Korea’s Capital City

Explore the North Korean capital of Pyongyang in this intriguing time-lapse of a city rarely seen by foreigners. Escorted by British-based company Koryo Tours, filmmakers Rob Whitworth and JT Singh offer up typical scenes of daily life in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Although certain limits were placed on what they could film, this short provides glimpses of insider moments, including riding the subway, circling historic monuments, and visiting a local skate park. I spoke with filmmaker Rob Whitworth a bit more about the film and his trip to North Korea.

North Korea calls its luxury high-rises scarier than its nukes | New York Post

North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un attended the grand opening of a luxury housing complex in the heart of Pyongyang, the nation’s capital. Thousands watched as the head of state ceremoniously cut a ribbon, despite reports claiming that some of the “prestige” penthouse apartments still lack hot water. Leading up to the publicity event, 600,000 North Korean citizens reportedly were removed from the city.
