Kamppi is a busy shopping district with big malls, boutiques and the popular Hietalahti flea market. Dining out ranges from fast food joints to waterfront bistros, while at night, hip bars and LGBT clubs play pop and live rock music.

Welcome to another winter night walk.
I was frustrated to find out that the camera was a little out of focus, but i hope you still enjoy it.
I hope you're not tired of winter and snow, because the weather forecast in Helsinki predicted light snowfall so i decided to walk through the center.
It's quiet on the street again because it's Sunday evening and a new working week is just around the corner.
This walking tour takes us along Helsinki's main street, Mannerheim Street, past several notable landmarks and places of interest.

HEAVY Snowfall after Blizzard in Helsinki Finland ☃️❄️????
Helsinki transformed into a Winter Wonderland after yesterday's snowstorm. But it was the day after the Blizzard that the snowfall was its heaviest with some beautiful big snowflakes. When it was most intensively snowing, I went to wander on the streets of Taka-Töölö and Etu-Töölö in downtown Helsinki.

Christmas Markets in Helsinki, Finland - Trains, Markets, and Parades - 2021
Helsinki not only showed us the best and most interesting Christmas parade ever seen (watch to find out why we’re advocating for dogs to lead every parade now), but it also has a fantastic Christmas market, and posh yet charmingly decorated streets and store windows (like the famous Stockmann store windows) in the heart of it all. It may be *below* freezing, but our hearts are warm with Christmas cheer. ????????????

Helsinki is the Capital City of Finland.
It is located in the Southern part of Finland.
Time of the filming was November. Snow has just come to Helsinki.
Usually at December-Febryary time there is snow in Helsinki, Finland.
As you can see on this video, the sea has not yet frozen so the winter is still coming.
Normally the sea is frozen at least some point of the winter.
(Nice to know, that you can still go to the Suomenlinna, Sea Fortress/Island, in the wintertime also, because, they will break the ice.)
(If you want see more snow go to Lappland. Lappland is located in the Northern part of Finland. In the Lappland there is much more snow, because it is more North and there is much colder in the winter time and the cold period is also longer.)
HOW TO GET THERE?
Helsinki is the Capital City Of Finland. From Helsinki Airport you can get easily to the Helsinki Center (Helsinki Central Railway Station) with train I or P.

(4K) Walking in Heavy Snowfall at Night in Kallio, Helsinki on the 5th of January 2022. Last night it was snowing so heavily that within a couple of hours Helsinki was transformed into a Winter Wonderland. I went for a walk in the charming Kallio district and wandered through the side streets and beautiful little parks of the neighborhood.

First Time in Finland | 48 Hours in Helsinki
We have arrived in Finland for the very first time and we are so excited to kick start our winter Christmas European getaway with 48 hours right here in Helsinki!
Day 1 of Jess epic European Christmas she has dreamt of as a kid begins with hot chocolates, roasting sausages by the fire in a red traditional hut.

Next up we needed to try a Finnish tradition - their Finnish spa experience of getting warmed up in a sauna and then jumping into icy cold water (don't ask me why they do it!)

We then attempted to find some Christmas markets (we were a tad early) so we resorted to some hot Glögi before calling it a night.
The next day we went to market square to try some warm creamy salmon soup, headed to Christmas street -

Helsinki is Finland’s iconic capital - but is it worth a winter trip at Christmas time?
With several landmark attractions, we took the ferry from Tallinn in Estonia to Helsinki on the next step of our festive adventure. Sorry that we said in the video that it was our first time in Scandinavia! This was an honest mistake and we continue onto Sweden, Denmark and Norway next (we really didn’t mean to offend anyone!) We should have said Nordic!* ☺️
We were very excited to check out another spectacular Christmas market and explore some of Helsinki’s impressive architecture and history.

We visited the Christmas market in Senate Square which sits directly beneath the towering Helsinki Cathedral and explored a true hidden gem; the National Library of Finland.
The frozen seas on Helsinki’s coast are a remarkable phenomenon to witness and no trip to the city is complete without a visit to Suomenlinna Fortress or checking out Market Square.
Join us as we venture around Helsinki before setting sail on the Viking Line cruise ship to Stockholm in Sweden.
