Theme Park Annual Passholder Guide - Disney World, Universal Orlando, Seaworld, Busch Gardens Tampa

This theme park strategy guide is based around the Orlando Florida theme parks. In two parts 17:00 Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando resort, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tampa. When purchasing an annual pass for the theme parks it can be very complex.

This annual passholder guide will provide a strategy for making a smart purchase and maximizing the value of the Pass. Walt Disney World has the most options for annual passes. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens is probably second place for pass options. With Universal Orlando was a third. Some topics that are covered will include paying full price vs monthly payments. Tickets versus annual pass. Special discounts and free parking.

Theme Park How To: Busch Gardens Tampa PhotoKey

Today's vlog is the first in a series of theme park How To videos. As gold level annual pass members at Busch Gardens Tampa, we are eligible to receive a free PhotoKey! Gold and Platinum pass members at Busch Gardens Tampa are eligible for this PhotoKey perk. Also, any guest to Busch Gardens can purchase a PhotoKey. This video and description focuses on how to get the PhotoKey included with eligible annual passes to Busch Gardens.

Your first step in getting your PhotoKey is the Adventure Outpost at the front of Busch Gardens. Simply tell the ambassador who helps you that you're a Gold or Platinum pass member and they will give you a voucher for your free pass member PhotoKey.

That voucher is what you take to the Adventure Photo kiosk just a few steps away from Adventure Outpost. The Busch Gardens ambassador will scan your voucher and ask for your e-mail address. The e-mail address will be linked to your PhotoKey card that they also distribute at this stand. The permanent, plastic PhotoKey card they give you at Adventure Photo is what you use to link ride photos to your PhotoKey account.

We rode Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa to demonstrate how to use the PhotoKey kiosks that are at the ride exit of rides that take PhotoKey photos. The linking process is pretty straightforward. Each ride's process is a little different, though. For instance, Kumba doesn't have PhotoKey kiosks. You have to look at TV screens and tell the Busch Gardens ambassador which photo you're in and they scan your PhotoKey card to do the linking. No matter how the PhotoKey linking is done, your digital ride photos will be available for you to peruse online on the PhotoKey website.

Watch till the end of the video to see some of my PhotoKey ride photos from Busch Gardens Tampa! Let me know what you thought of this Theme Park How To series and if you'd like to see more!

How To Get To Busch Gardens Tampa From Orlando

Busch Gardens Tampa is one of central Florida’s must visit tourist attractions home to an amazing combination of zoological animal exhibits and amazing roller coaster rides.

Located 90minutes west of Orlando, there are four options when it comes to making the trip to Busch Gardens when vacationing in the central Florida region.

1. Drive / Rental Car
The route from Orlando to Tampa is a simple 1h 30m drive west on I-4. It can add more cost to a vacation when you don’t necessarily require a rental car to get around the Orlando area however you’ll have the ultimately flexibility with timings so unlike the transit options you can arrive or leave the park whenever uou like.

2. Ride Share / Taxi
A ride share will be a much lower price when compared to a regular taxi. I recommend downloading both the Lyft and Uber apps so you can compare prices and select the best deal. On average this option costs around $100-150 one way form experience, but is subject to surge pricing. The door to door convenience and only your group exclusivity are some of the benefits.

3. Public Transport
It is possible to get to Orlando to Tampa on public transit.
Flix Bus and Greyhound operate services to the Marion Transit Center (Tampa Bus station)
Although the Flix Bus actually stops at an underpass one block form the bus depot.

From the Marion Transit Center, the number 5 service heads to a stop just outside Busch Gardens on McKinley Dr

While this is a lower cost option, the timings of making connection can affect the length of day at the park. The return Flix bus to Orlando does leave late at 22:15 making it possible to stay late.

4. Busch Gardens Shuttle Express
Busch Gardens in partnership with Mears transportation offers any ticket holder, complimentary round trip bus transport to Busch gardens from several stops across the Orlando area including, International Drive and Kissimmee.

Typically this service will arrive after park opening, the website states up to 11:30am. The departure time is set on the day, usually around park closing. However the compromise is that it is a complimentary service.

Busch Gardens Tampa's 60th Anniversary Month | Pin Trading, PhotoKey, and Critters Inn Charge

In today's vlog, we take a visit to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to kickoff their 60th anniversary month. Busch Gardens Tampa opened on March 31, 1959. Since we are gold annual passholders, we got to park in the preferred parking lot for the first time. It's such a great experience being just steps away from the entrance to the park.

Pin trading is now an official activity at Busch Gardens Tampa. There are many placards advertising that certain shops sell pins, as well as an explanatory placard at the entrance to the park. Outdoor carts also have pins for sale. Busch Gardens ambassadors were all wearing lanyards full of their pins, ready to trade, as well. Some of our favorite pins included a Busch Gardens passport that opened, displaying all the areas of the park, a vintage Florida, and a rotating viewfinder. Not only did we find booths for the Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival, but there was already a pin available to commemorate that upcoming festival (beginning March 16, 2019). Alexandria Gogolin's half finished mural for Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival and to celebrate the park's 60th anniversary was on display. Can't wait to see the finished product in a couple of weeks!

Since we are gold annual passholders to Busch Gardens Tampa, we get PhotoKey included for the year. Although the process of getting your PhotoKey is a little confusing, it's definitely worth it! You first need to stop at Adventure Outpost at the front of the park. They will give you a barcode that needs to be scanned at the nearby PhotoKey station. Once they scan that barcode, you give them an e-mail address that you'd like linked to your PhotoKey, and they give you a permanent card. We'll be using this at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens all year long! You'll see my picture from ShiekRa in the video.

Another exciting announcement to kickoff Busch Gardens Tampa's 60th anniversary was that Gwazi will be receiving the Rocky Mountain Construction treatment. It will be North America's tallest (at over 200 feet tall!) and the WORLD'S steepest and fastest hybrid rollercoaster. I CANNOT wait!!! Stay tuned as we watch Gwazi transform into something amazing that only Rocky Mountain Construction can do.

This was also our first look at the completed Tigris track. Tigris is going to be unlike any rollercoaster I've ever ridden. It's scheduled to open later this spring 2019. On the day we were at Busch Gardens, a Peppa Pig character dining experience was going on. On March 9 & 10, there will be a PJ Masks dining experience.

We also got to see the brand new Critters Inn Charge show at Busch Gardens Tampa. It opened earlier this year and takes place at the Pantopia Theater. There's plenty of cute rescue animals to be seen and met after the show, so make sure to check it out!

Thanks for joining me on this jam packed visit to Busch Gardens Tampa!

Theme Park How To: Free Serengeti Safari for Pass Members at Busch Gardens Tampa

In today's vlog, we visit Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to redeem our free Serengeti Safari that is included with our gold annual passes to Busch Gardens.

The first step to redeeming the free Serengeti Safari included with your gold and above annual passes at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is the Adventure Outpost near the entrance to Busch Gardens. Simply tell the Ambassador at the Adventure Outpost that you would like to redeem your Serengeti Safari included with your annual pass. They will ask you which time you would like and give you a printed pass with your Serengeti Safari time on it. The Ambassador we spoke to recommended checking in for your Serengeti Safari 15 minutes before your departure time. The Serengeti Safari is a $40 value, so make sure to utilize this perk if you are a gold or above pass member at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Across from the Nairobi train station train tracks is the Serengeti Safari Base Camp. This is a nice, shaded area where you can wait for your Serengeti Safari to take off. There is also a bulletin board near the vans where you can check out photographs of animals and sights you will see during your Serengeti Safari at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

The Serengeti Outpost is actually where you will want to go to check in for your Serengeti Safari. You can probably redeem your free pass member Serengeti Safari here as well. We checked in at the Serengeti Outpost about ten minutes before our Serengeti Safari. There is a covered area with benches where you will sign a waiver and meet your safari guide. There is also drinking water and lockers to store your valuables before you set off on your Serengeti Safari at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

After business at the Serengeti Outpost was done, it was time to head back to the Serengeti Safari Base Camp to board our van. We saw so many animals besides giraffes on the Serengeti Safari and had such an informative tour guide. Being so close to giraffes and rhinos was definitely the highlight of this tour for me! We also got to hold an ostrich egg and a giraffe vertebrae. You really do get hands on during the Serengeti Safari tour!

The ultimate highlight, of course, was feeding the amazing animals that are the giraffes. Being so close to these majestic creatures was truly awe inspiring. The Serengeti Safari at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay was probably my favorite additional charge tour that I've done at the theme park. Even if you don't have the Serengeti Safari included with your gold or above Busch Gardens Tampa Bay annual pass, I think it would be worth the money.

Thanks for joining us on the Serengeti Safari at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay!

Things to do at BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA BAY 2022

Full BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA FULL PARK OVERVIEW. Kim, my brother, and I got a chance to spend the day exploring all the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has to offer. Come along as we take you on a tour of the rides, zoo, places to eat, etc. We absolutely love this park and look forward to showing you around. If you have any questions about the park, rides, food, etc. feel free to drop us a message in the comments and we would be happy to help.

Whether you're a coaster enthusiast or want rides that are fun for the whole family, explore Florida's best coasters, right here in Tampa Bay. Take on a thrilling triple-launch coaster, a family spin coaster that's a new ride every time, epic coaster legends and more.

COMING IN 2020
IRON GWAZI
A new legend is surfacing in 2020 at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with the evolution of Iron Gwazi, North America's tallest hybrid coaster and the fastest and steepest hybrid coaster in the world.

Train ride through the Serengeti

A ride on the Serengeti Express Train is one of the best ways to take in the breathtaking beauty and scale of Busch Garden's Serengeti Plain®. With stops at the Congo, Nairobi and Stanleyville, this relaxing train ride gives you a great view of our large free-roaming herds of African animals, including giraffe, zebra, antelope, ostrich and much more.

A celebration of the fastest land animal, Tampa Bay's longest roller coaster quickly raced and weaved its way onto the list of coaster favorites. This triple launch roller coaster carries riders high above the park, then races down along the ground through a rocky gorge. At a length of 4,400 feet, Cheetah Hunt® is the park's longest thrill ride attraction!

335-foot freestanding drop tower

It's one thing to drop 300 feet. It's a whole other for your seat to pivot 90° – then drop you face-first at 60 mph

The height Falcon's Fury® reaches offers an incredible view stretching well past downtown Tampa and encompassing all of Busch Gardens. The ride takes about a minute until riders get to its peak, giving plenty of time to enjoy the landscape.

Like a falcon, riders then pivot 90 degrees in midair to a face-down dive position at 300 feet in the air. An instant later they'll plunge 60 mph straight down! It's an immediate, heart-pounding thrill inspired by skydiving – and the comparisons are obvious from that vantage point.

200 ft from the sky, 90° straight down - ride this extreme roller coaster if you dare

Climb 200 feet to the edge of a 90-degree drop that inches you mercilessly over the edge-and stops. Then surrender to speed as you dive straight down into a 70 mph roller coaster whirlwind with an Immelmann loop, a second dive into an underground tunnel and a splashdown finale that drenches SheiKra® fans waiting to catch their own piece of the fun.

Whitewater rafting expedition

One of the most popular things to do in Florida is to be on the water. Climb aboard and enjoy a refreshing splash – or get seriously soaked. This expedition will send you twirling down a racing river through Congo, so get ready to get soaked! Spouting jets, waterfalls and water cave enhances this drenching experience. Bystanders along side the Congo River Rapids'® banks contribute to the excitement by firing water spray jets at the unsuspecting adventurers on the ride.
