Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! Huma shared her experience of entering a ghosted airport to no security lines, food court staff not wearing gloves along with the sanitation facilities provided inside, and the necessary precautions carried out by the airport staff. FLYING home during the CORONAVIRUS pandemic | (Covid-19) | VLOG #056
We've been forced to leave our home in Bali, but luckily enough we were able to book a flight home to South Africa without it getting cancelled. Our nerves were high throughout the whole process but luckily everything went smoothly. The only differences we noticed were a number of temperature tests, many more people wearing masks, particles swabs on our bags and very empty airports. Perhaps we were paranoid for nothing!

SURREAL!! Flight during Pandemic Lockdown June 2020 British Airways Business Class London to Boston
On 11 June 2020 the Triple Passport Family travelled to from the UK to USA during the COVID-19 air restrictions by paying for British Airways World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) and upgrading using Avios from our BA Executive Club to Business Class (Club World). We found an empty Heathrow Terminal 5 and 787-8 Dreamliner while flying during COVID 19.
Kathleen (mum) holds an American and British passport, Fredrik (dad) has a Norwegian passport and the two children ages 2 and 5 hold American, British, and Norwegian passports. We didn’t know if Fredrik would be able to travel or if the kids would wear a mask. Watch how it went!

Truly one of the weirdest travel experiences of my life! I sublet my apartment in Toronto to go visit my parents before this pandemic started, so I am not able to go 'home' until the start of May. Thus I decided to keep my plans as is and and take a flight from Calgary to Saskatoon since domestic airlines are still flying in Canada. The government has urged people not to do any unnecessary travel and while I agree with that statement in most cases, it's a bit ironic that I come across far less people in the airport than I would grabbing my groceries every week. Flying During a Pandemic in Canada | What is going on in Vancouver?
In this video I share my experience with what it was like when flying during the coronavirus pandemic. Number of flights drop tremendeously, occupancy rate in hotel plummets and restaurant force to close. But, the caveat of traveling during a global pandemic was actually really easy and smooth since the whole airport is empty. There is no check-in line at the hotel. I wish everyone could fly again soon and return to our new normal. I enjoyed my stay in Shangri-la Vancouver and I will be bacck soon.

Flying During the Pandemic // June 2020
This is a continuation of my previous video
I wanted to film my flight back to Los Angeles, CA from Nashville, TN. As you can see the airports were pretty empty. My flight to Dallas from Nashville was about 30% full and my flight from Dallas to LA was about 90% full. Once I landed at LAX it was very eerie to see hardly any people and no cars in the arrival terminal. I am used to seeing bumper to bumper traffic and a bunch of people hanging around waiting for their flights. I'm glad the airlines are requiring face masks and I generally felt pretty safe!
