The perfect Rare-Well Steak - Step by Step

A rare-well Steak requires an uneven cut steak combing all stages of cooking in one single steak: rare, medium rare, medium, medium well and well done. When choosing a ribeye steak it's recommended to have the fat eye on the more cooked side of the steak, and the lean side cooked rare and medium rare.
Beef: Black Angus from Argentina, free-range, grass-fed, organic. Other ingredients: salt, pepper, clarified butter, butter, rosemary and garlic. Sides: Chipotle and mustard -

How to cook the perfect Steak

The 1 minute rule has proven to be the best way to prepare a steak as the zone of grey meat between the outside crust and the inner medium rare or rare part is thinner when preparing it this way, while the grey zone becomes unpleasantly thicker when preparing the steak with just one flip after 3 to 4 minutes (Americas Test Kitchen). The one flip method is probably efficient for kitchen chefs as they can pay attention to other foods for 3 to 4 minutes. The 1 minute rule is recommended for people how have 6 to 8 minutes to pay attention entirely on the piece of steak in their pan.

How To Cook Wagyu Beef

Crowd Cow presents: How To Cook Wagyu Beef

Incredibly marbled and best enjoyed with friends, our authentic A5 Japanese Wagyu will make you the hit of the holidays. Host a tasting event or give it as the ultimate food gift.

We recommend cooking your A5 Wagyu a little bit at a time, cooking small strips and eating as you go. We also strongly recommend never cooking Wagyu over an open flame.

Bite-size portions. Slice into small strips and cook each one at a time. With A5 Wagyu, a little goes a long way, so savor and enjoy as you go.
Season. Sprinkle a little sea salt (e.g. sel gris), to taste. Pepper is okay, too. Season lightly so you can savor and enjoy the flavor of the meat itself. Alternatively, you can season after cooking the meat. The choice is up to you.

Cook on Stainless Steel. Sear the meat (slices approximately 1-inch by 4-inches) directly on the hot surface of the pan for 1 to 2 minutes per side. There is no need to add oil whatsoever. The fat from the A5 will melt out and provide more than enough for cooking.

Perfect Air Fryer Steak Recipe | Juicy and Tender Top Sirloin Steak

This Air Fryer Steak is impeccably seared on the outside and tender juicy on the inside. Cooking steak in an air fryer will create extra flavor and a delicate texture to truly satisfy everyone in your family!

I am not exaggerating when I say this is a perfect steak. It gives you that crispy crust seared outside and a tender juicy inside, EVERYTIME! Yes, grilling steak is still amazing but it’s getting cold, no one wants to stand outside to grill a steak. Cast iron steak on the stove is divine, but no one wants to fill the house up with smoke all the time.

Rub the Montreal seasoning and let it sit for 15 minutes in the fridge. Preheat fryer 400 degrees.
Put the steaks in the fryer and cook for 12 minutes, flipping half way through. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

It is important to let meat rest after cooking so it can reabsorb and distribute the juices that have been constricted during the cooking process. If you were to cut a steak right off the grill, you'll notice that the internal juices pool out of the meat, leaving you with a dry and tough final product.

How To Cook the Perfect Well Done Steak - Step by Step

A well done steak is cooked for a longer period of time than what you would cook a regular rare steak. Preparation is key. So be prepared before you begin by getting your spices, butter, and utensils. Enjoy the video. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments.

Note: The internal temperature of this steak was: 165°F
However, I enjoy cooking mine around 70°C / 158°F.

Should I do a Ribeye Steak from Uruguay next?

The Perfect Steak - Step by Step

The 1 minute rule: Flipping the steak more often leads to a smaller grey band of overcooked, dry meat under the crispy surface of this medium rare steak. - Flipping the steak just once, on the other hand, halfway through cooking like often proposed, is attractive for busy kitchen chefs, as it provides the time to pay attention to the preparation of other foods for 3 to 4 minutes, but it will eventually lead to a bigger band of overcooked, grey meat under the crust of the steak. No matter if the steak is meant to be rare, medium rare, medium or medium well.

The steak in the video is slightly thick cut. Usually I am fine with a thinner cut of meat which would get 6 minutes cooking time in total at around 230 °C/450 °F. Adding butter, rosemary, thyme and crushed garlic after 4 to 5 minutes. Flipping the steak 5 times during cooking. Once after each minute. This thicker Wagyu steak gets 8 minutes in total.

Watching the steak in the pan is essential. Different cuts and different qualities of meat react differently to heat. Some steaks get thinner once in the pan (Scottish Angus Beef video, 4 minutes cooking time) some get thicker (Uruguay Steak video), depending on which part of the beef you are cooking, the water and fat content, and if the steak was aged (less water content). The cooking time has to be adjusted accordingly.

While the steak in the video is a Wagyu Ribeye Steak (gras-fed) from New Zealand, the best value and potentially the best steak altogether is a gras-fed, free-range Argentine Ribeye Steak, for its great taste and the harmony between muscle tissue and fat.

Steak Donald - a presidential, well done Steak

A traditional Steak Donald requires a high-quality beef cut, Irish Ribeye Steak or such, grass-fed and dry aged. Cooking time: 10 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak and the temperature of the pan/griddle. The internal temperature of the steak should reach 150°F (65°C) minimum. It's served well-done with steak sauce or ketchup and a soft drink.
