In this episode we are on a motorcycle trip in eastern Canada and take a ferry from Newfoundland to Miquelon France and then from Miquelone France to Saint Pierre France and then from Saint Pierre France to Newfoundland Canada. Saint Pierre is where I spent the majority of my time well I was in France. Was a great trip and met some great people , would definitely recommend a trip there, if your In the area or taking a trip to Newfoundland, your so close. Thanks for watching and Subscribing.

Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is so far away from metropolitan France that one could think that the links between the two are frayed and ready to break.
On the other hand, the islands are so close to Canada you would think that life in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is pretty much the same as in Newfoundland.
Officially, the island of Newfoundland is only 19 kilometers away. In fact it is even closer than that, since the closest Canadian piece of land, Green Island, is only a few nautical miles from Saint-Pierre.
Nonetheless, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is French. Completely French, but with a strong regional influence thrown in!
The residents of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon have chosen the best from both worlds.

Saint Pierre, France by Canada - Two Minute Travel
We wandered the streets of Saint Pierre, first by heading to a pub for a drink. I’ve never spoken French before, so ordering a drink was fun and frightening. Next we headed to the restaurant recommended by the hotel. It was delicious, clearly designed for tourists with pizzas on the menu, but still, very nice lamb chops. Maybe go elsewhere for dessert. A little tipsy, we headed for the harbour. We also visited there again after a hill climb the following day before the boat right back.
Back in St. John’s, Newfoundland, we were staying at the Memorial University of Newfoundland dorm rooms, which were available on booking.com. They really weren’t so bad. The buffet breakfast they came with was the quality of dorm room buffet food. Not great. .

Dildo Newfoundland & Saint Pierre France - Two Minute Travel
We did a long drive across part of Newfoundland from St. John’s to Dildo, which was a pleasure. From Dildo we headed to Fortune for the ferry to Saint Pierre, an overseas collectivity of France. Then we did a Hotel review of the Auberge Saint Pierre, maybe the only three star hotel on the island. Felt more like someone’s home to me. .

Fortress of Louisbourg: A Historical Gem in Nova Scotia

Le festival Dunefest 2019 - Saint-Pierre et Miquelon
Ce festival est devenu un incontournable parmi les festivités de l'été à Saint-Pierre et Miquelon. Il se déroule sur la dune de Langlade et est organisé par l'association Eklectic fin juillet.
Une équipe de bénévoles très impliquée, aidée par la DTAM et la mairie de Miquelon, qui met tout en oeuvre pendant plusieurs jours pour préparer le site. Les groupes de musique de l'archipel s'y produisent du vendredi soir au dimanche matin très tôt. Les encornés farcis, la morue sont généralement au menu. Si vous envisagez venir en vacances, vous devez absolument faire coïncider vos dates avec ce festival. A visionner jusqu'au bout.
