Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort | Room Tour & Walkthrough
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a Deluxe Resort that’s located near Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
The resort is inspired by the South Pacific and will forever be a classic Walt Disney World Resort hotel, especially since it first opened on Oct. 1, 1971, the same day Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom opened.
This is 1 of 8 Deluxe Resort hotels (not including Deluxe Villas) on Disney World property. The resort is known for having access to the Monorail, along with its iconic porte cochere entrance.
The Polynesian Resort features monorail access to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It is also home to some of the most popular dining options on Disney World property, including 'Ohana and Trader Sam's. Grab a Dole Whip from Pineapple Lanai and head out to the Polynesian beach to enjoy a unique fireworks experience watching the Magic Kingdom nighttime shows.

What Are The Best & Worst Rooms at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort? In today's video, I go over some of the best (and worst) rooms at one of the first Resorts at Walt Disney World.

Which Deluxe Resort is the BEST at Walt Disney World?
Want to stay at a Disney World resort with lots of amenities?
Then the Walt Disney World Deluxe resorts will be your best bet.
With gorgeous theming, signature restaurants, and many being close to the parks, these Disney Deluxe Resorts have a lot to offer.
The Walt Disney World Resort is huge, and outside of its 4 main theme parks, 2 water parks, shopping district, and sports facilities, it is also home to over 2 dozen different resorts with a total of over 30,000 rooms.
All of those resorts and rooms means you have a ton of options to choose from when planning your vacation.
When trying to decide which resort is best for your family, many people start by looking at average prices and resort amenities.
While most hotels and resorts in destinations outside of Disney World are grouped and designated by “stars” (such as 3 star hotels or 4 star hotels), Disney World instead groups their resorts with similar prices and amenities by the following terms:
