Kitesurfing & Diving in EGYPT | Is it worth it?

Together with my wife and another couple we went kitesurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving in Egypt for a week. This was our first time in Egypt and we loved it! This video is not sponsored and reflects only my own opinion from the short experience we made.

All images are shot either with my IPhone 7 or a GoPro 7 camera. I wanted to keep my equipment to a minimum and see what I could do with it.

Kicheche Mara Camp

Tucked away in a beautiful, acacia-lined valley, protected by a thicket of ancient olive trees, eco- gold rates Kicheche Mara Camp is a familiar part of the landscape to passing wildlife. There are no fences: elephants and giraffe feel completely at ease, strolling past within a few paces of the camp tents to slake their thirst in the nearby Olare Orok stream.

Shompole Wilderness #Kenya

Shompole Wilderness a small private and exclusive camp in Shompole.

Deep in Kenya’s Southern part of the Great Rift Valley, between Amboseli National Park and Maasai Mara National Reserve is the Shompole conservancy and where Shompole Wilderness a small and exclusive little camp is located. We offer both privacy and comfort in a unique location, close to Nairobi (3 hour drive) and welcome you to join us at our home.

Nestled under the giant fig trees on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro river, this small, homely and family run and managed tented camp is one of the few places in Africa that combines wildlife sightings in the Great Rift Valley with the stunning pink, red, and yellow colours of Lake Magadi and Lake Natron, both Lesser and Greater flamingoes and a welcoming Maasai community.

GREAT PLAINS CONSERVATION | Jambo! Welcome to Kenya

JAMBO! Welcome to Kenya.

As we stand now, 98.5% of our Kenyan staff are vaccinated. By the end of August 2021, our Botswana staff vaccinations will start to equal that of Kenya as we commence flying medical teams into our camps. Zimbabwe has been vaccinating for a while, and similar numbers have been achieved in South Africa to date.

We look forward to welcoming guests back to all our camps.

Maji Moto 2018

Some memories from my stay at the Maji Moto Eco Camp.

It is a wonderful place and the Maasai staff is so hospitable and kind. You will get knowledge about the Maasai culture in a far more genuine way than you get in the touristic Maasai villages that are located just outside the national parks.

You want to visit? It is highly recommended.

▶ Karisia Walking Safaris

Karisia Walking Safaris in Kenya is a walking safari with a difference supported by camels and can be totally geared up for families. Karisia Walking Safaris is located in eastern Laikipia, an area north of Mt. Kenya known for its wilderness and wildlife. The area boasts the highest diversity of large mammals in Kenya and is also home to several endangered species such as the Grevy's Zebra, Wilddog, and Jackson's Hartebeest. It is only a couple of hours from Nanuki where daily scheduled flights come in. It is a real chance to combine game viewing with the amazing culture in the area. Mount Suswa

Only 50 km from Nairobi, Mt. Suswa is one of the most spectacular mountains of the Rift Valley as it comprises a 12 km across double crater system, a vast network of obsidian caves and a variety of wild animals and plants.

After driving across the vast outer crater floor on a good road, the inner crater drops off a few hundred feet. It is a massive crater about 5 km wide and in the center is a massive central plug. The entire area can be hiked, including the inner crater rim and you can hike to the bottom of the inner crater to hot springs -- there are tracks but you may need a guide. The summit of the inner crater is called Ol Doinyo Nyokie (the red mountain) at 7,222 ft. Just park at the road head and follow the paths sticking as close as possible to the crater rim.
