300 Days Alone on an Island - A Robinson Crusoe Adventure in the Pacific Ocean

Welcome to our amazing adventure! In this video, we'll be joining our hero Xavier Rosset on a real-life Robinson Crusoe adventure - 300 days alone on Tofua, a remote island of the Tonga in the Pacific Ocean.

We'll follow our hero as he embarks on a daring journey of exploration, discovery, and self-reliance. He'll be completely isolated from civilization, and must use his wits and skills to survive.
We'll start by watching him build a shelter, and gathering food and supplies. Then he'll have to figure out how to catch fish and hunt animals. He'll also need to make improvised tools, and explore the island.
And we'll watch as he adjusts to life on the island; dealing with storms, loneliness, and the possibility of never being rescued. We'll see how he copes with the mental and physical struggles of living alone in the wild.
It's a remarkable story of courage and determination, a true psychological story between solitude and loneliness and hopefully it will inspire others to try their own outdoor adventures. Join us now for this amazing Robinson Crusoe adventure!

After 3 minutes, you won't be willing to leave your screen.

Ce film existe aussi en version originale française , Xavier explique dans sa langue maternelle ses souffrances et ses joies. Cette version est un peu différente de celle en anglais.

This time: The Netherlands!

So tiny and though so great, an ever thriving country from the East Indies times in the Golden age to an important main hub in Europe. Mostly under sea level, the Dutch got skilled winning land and fighting water, which led to engineering masterpieces like the Delta works. A modern community where the cities are big cosy villages, people go by bike, eat stroopwafels and cheese. In the Netherland whether you like traditional mills and clogs or mingle in easily in the hotchpotch of cultures, Gogh and Rembrandt, or a stroll along the dikes, you won’t be bored.

In this episode we visit the beautiful city of Haarlem and the Teylers museum, the abandoned prison “The Koepel”, We explore the island of Texel: the seals, mudflats full of life, the beaches and the lighthouse. we go sailing in Friesland, we visit the Planetarium, Giethoorn.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to our Kanaky family. We cannot thank you enough for having us and showing us all that your country has to offer during the course of those two weeks.

Merci,

Lake Aydarkul - Uzbekistan - Episode 3

#aydarkul #uzbekistan #kyzylkum
Lake Aydarkul (or Aydar), around 50 kilometers from Nurata, Uzbekistan, the second stage of our Uzbekistan tour.
Located in the south-eastern Kyzyl Kum desert, this lake is part of the man-made Aydar/Arnasay system, the result of a sovietic project that modified the flow of Amu Darya and Sir Darya rivers. Its formation followed a great flood in 1969.
No matter how, actually the Aydarkul hosts a rich fauna, both underwater and in its skies. Fishing activities are important for local economy as the lake is full of several different fishes. Moreover, many water birds migrating from Aral Sea make their new home here, so this is a real paradise for birdwatchers.

The Aydarkul lake is a special place. I suggest it for all visitors who love experiencing the nature. The area around the lake is ideal for trekking but if you like you can even ride an horse or a camel. In summer, swimming in its crystal pure water is perfect to take a breath from the hard sun. And Kyzyl Kum desert sunsets are absolutely unforgettable!

To get the best from a trip like this, it is fundamental to rely on local resources. So we did. We found a higher level of competence I could not imagine. It is mandatory for me to thank some of the people we met there.
Responsible Travel is an uzbek tour operator located in Jizzakh but contactable from every part of the world ( It was our referent for logistic, tour planning, transports, etc. Ask of Mr. Sherzod Norbekov, whatever you may need he will find the best solution for you.
Let me thank also all the staff of Kyzyl Kum Safari Yurt camp for their warm and great hospitality. It was my first experience in a Yurt and I found it exciting.
Special guest in this video is Mr. Juma, the player and singer of the camp. He is a great dutar player and we spent a lovely night listening its folk music.
And, of course, thanks to Jamol, our driver. We felt safe with him even in the lonely lands of Kyzyl Kum.

Some technical information. Mostly for filming I used an Olympus OM-D EM5 MKII mirrorless camera and a GoPro Hero 7 black. For Color grading, post-production and editing, I used Cyberlink Powerdirector suite 5, as always. Photos, in this film as in the next ones, are mostly by Francesca Sparatore, shot with a Nikon D3100.
The sound of Mr. Juma music has been recorded using an I-phone 7. I apologize with the singer and with you all, I could do better with a more professional gear. Next time!
