Great Wall Drone Flight: The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, generally built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China to protect the Chinese states and empires against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe. Several walls were being built as early as the 7th century BCE; these, later joined together and made bigger and stronger, are now collectively referred to as the Great Wall. Especially famous is the wall built 220–206 BCE by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. Little of that wall remains. It is actually a network of fortifications rather than a single structure, and is the product of countless labors over a period of some two thousand years. Qin Shi Huang took the remnants of truly ancient fortifications, walls, and earthworks begun in the fifth century B.C. and linked them into a unified wall circa 220 B.C. as part of a massive project to protect China against marauding barbarians from the north.

China Drone Flight: Beijing, Chinas sprawling capital, has history stretching back 3 millennia. Yet its known as much for modern architecture as its ancient sites such as the grand Forbidden City complex, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nearby, the massive Tiananmen Square pedestrian plaza is the site of Mao Zedongs mausoleum and the National Museum of China, displaying a vast collection of cultural relics. Other major attractions include the Summer Palace, the retreat of emperors with pavilions and gardens along Kunming Lake. Temple of Heaven is a park thats home to the colorful, circular Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Beijing Olympic Park, built for the 2008 games, encompasses a long promenade and Beijing National Stadium, dubbed the “Birds Nest” for its interlocking steel grids. The Back Lakes district offers narrow old streets (hutongs) lined with boutiques and cafes. The 798 Art District hosts cutting-edge galleries. The Great Wall of China Walking Tour October 2022 [4K HDR]

Today I woke up early and took a walking tour of the Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing, China. This trip to the Great Wall is a huge physical challenge. Since I was carrying a camera for video recording, I was short of breath when I walked. Please forgive my heavy breathing.

The Great Wall of China is an impressive monument which stretches over 21,000 kms from sea to desert. We have been fortunate enough to visit some remote parts of the wall over several hiking days from the little village of Gubeikou.
The history of the wall is unfortunately very morbid with an estimated 1,000,000 deaths to complete its construction over centuries. Whilst we had great fun putting together this video and hiking some of the most isolated parts of the wall, this aerial drone movie is a tribute to those who died for it.
Most of our videos come from the parts of the hike near Gubeikou village, China: the little village features 2 of the most remote and unique hikes in the world following the Great Wall of China. To access Gubeikou Village from Beijing, the easiest (and cheapest) way is to go by Bus. You will need to catch the 980 Express from Dongzhimen station and get off the last stop at Miyun Long distance bus station. From there, switch to the Minibus 25 that will bring you straight to Gubeikou. ???? Arriving in Miyun, many drivers will ask you to climb in their cars as they know you are heading to the Great Wall, trust your guts and look at the bus stop for M25, and wait (there is one bus every hour, the last one leaving at 6pm from Miyun). The total journey will cost you about 40 yuan and takes 3H.
Another note worthy site is the Huanghuacheng Great Wall which hosts some hidden spots nearby the famous tourist trap that are worth a hiking day or two. To access Huanghuacheng Wall from Beijing you will need to catch the 916 Express from Dongzhimen station and get off the last stop at Huairou bus station. From there, switch to the Minibus 21 that will bring you straight to Huanghuacheng Great Wall entrance ticket. There is one bus every hour, the last one leaving at 5.10 pm from Huanghuacheng. The total journey will cost you about 40 yuan and takes 2H.
Our experience hiking and flying above the Great Wall of China was one of life goals and it sure did not disappoint us. We've shared more information in our blog post to help you get there as well.

InFlight History 4K - The Great Wall of China 4K Aerial Drone 4K View
The greatest building ever built by man, the Great Wall of China has been the most ambitious defense system of the human history. Constructed to avoid the barbarian and Mongols invasions, this infinite barrier stretches for 8851 km along the northern mountains to the west of China, in an incredible up and down. Along the way, during the Empire Age, more than 1 million soldiers watched over the borders by using the 25000 towers, arisen for this purpose. They communicated with each other through an ingenious system of weathervanes during the day and campfire at night. Communication was so much efficient that the Chinese army could be mobilized in a very short time and travel along the route of the Wall. However, due to its extreme length, it was virtually impossible to guard it all and the Mongols were able gradually to enter and conquer China.
Needless to say that visiting a monument like this is something unforgettable. As it will be unforgettable for you flying along on it with this spectacular aerial footage in 4K! Enjoy and subscribe to our channel !!
