In this video, Jay and Christina take you on a tour of Bridgeland, a master planned community located Northwest of Houston in Cypress, Texas. Here is their review of the fast growing community.
The Bridgeland Community is an 11,401-acre master-planned community under construction between Hwy 290 & I 10. Bridgeland is divided by the Grand Parkway, and opened in December 2013.
Planned for 20,000 homes and approximately 65,000 residents,[1] Bridgeland is being developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation, which also develops The Woodlands, and was named Community of the Year in 2009.
Geography: Bridgeland comprises 11,401 acres of flat to gently rolling terrain in northwest Harris County located along the eastern margins of the Katy Prairie. The Bridgeland developers have followed a detailed conservation plan to protect the area’s natural features and details 3,000 acres of recreation space, including 900 acres of lakes.
Recreation: Lakeland Activity Center, which includes a freeform pool, junior Olympic-size pool, spray park, tower slides and diving platforms, as well as tennis courts, a playground and a 6,000-square-foot clubhouse that offers meeting rooms and a full fitness center.
More than 60 miles of trails are planned and you can even do catch-and-release fishing and non-motorized boating on Lake Bridgeland lakes. Residents have complimentary use of seasonally available canoes, kayaks, sailboats, fishing equipment and other recreational items.
Dozens of parks exist no more than a quarter mile from each home site.
Education: Currently students of Bridgeland attend the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. Future phases of Bridgeland will be served by Katy ISD and the Waller ISD.

Bridgeland Flood's - April 19 2016
This video was taken on Tuesday round noon time of the flooding that is going on here in Bridgeland. This area Monday was not as bad and I was able to drive up and down House and Hahl Road Monday Morning. Monday afternoon it was deeper, but I was still able to drive down the road. Monday night, Fry road was closed off and also the roads where not passable by this time. Tuesday, the water levels where much worse as you can see from this video. Black Horse Ranch golf course was also not so bad until today, Tuesday.
AWESOME HOUSTON TREEHOUSE
Personally, we have only seen a real tree house in movies and pictures, until we saw this awesome looking treehouse, and it is public! Yes, there is a hidden little gem in the Bridgeland community (Cypress TX) where an actual Treehouse sits in the middle of this cute little park. We bought some breakfast and went there to spend our morning and it was worth it! Bring your family and have a cute little picnic here. There's a walking trail near by too so you can always go for a walk afterwards and check out this lovely up and coming neighborhood in the Houston suburbs.

The design of this facility in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is a new prototype that will serve approximately 3,300 students. The new high school facility is a two and four-story building totaling approximately 573,468 SF which will include a competition football field, baseball field, softball field (all with bleachers and press boxes), competition running track and several other practice and play fields.
