Tropical palm garden design in Bali Indonesia

This video shows my 2 years old garden scape.

The majority of my plants are palm trees, actually seedlings of around 4 years old.

We moved into the house 2 years ago, after I made some small renovations, it was time to start landscaping and planting of the garden.
Some of my collected seedlings from the past few years I've put in full soil, but the majority I still kept in a pot. The garden is too small to plant them all, plus they grow faster than expected.

About this space
Spectacular modern take on traditional Javanese Joglo house with open floor plan and magnificent carved-wood doors, pillars & towering ceiling. Quiet area only 5 mins from Seminyak and Canggu. Amenities include use of kitchen, lounge & swimming pool.

The space
The villa is a traditional joglo, the ornately carved timber was hand picked and transported over from Java where it was resembled in all its glory. Surrounded by lush gardens the villa has a truly island feel. Opposite the main house is a smaller joglo with double bedroom and bathroom with its own private entrance.
The kitchen, dining and living room are combined in an open area. With a seating area and large dining table perfect for entertaining large parties. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, blender, coffee maker, toaster, juicer, blender etc…
There is also bar seating for three that overlooks rice fields at the back of the house. The living room offers a couch, lounge. There are also a number of places for lounging outside on the terrace or on the grass by the pool in the gardenIn the main joglo there are two spacious master bedrooms offering king size beds, desks, plentiful closet space and a luxury en suite bathroom, one of which opens out to a bath in the garden. Both bedrooms are equipped with a standing fan and air conditioning.
Opposite is situated the private joglo with king size bed, mosquito net and a hammock for lounging looking onto the pool. Also equipped with air conditioning and closet.
The price includes daily maid service from 9am-12pm, linens and towels, high speed wireless internet throughout the property and a gardener.Airport transfer, driver to other attractions, massage, private yoga classes,laundry, rental cellphone, rental motorbike, and babysitting can be arranged for an additional fee. Babycots/cribs and car seats also available if needed.

Tropical Palm Garden in BALI, Indonesia | UPDATE

In this video I show you around in my garden.
Some things have changed since the last video. The rainy season is coming, so I had to get rid of some of my palms that grow in pots.
During the wet season, most of my pots become too wet, so I like to have the smallest ones on a dry place, for that I didn’t have enough space so I had to make some selections in which ones to keep and others to go.

I donated a full pickup with plants to a friend who owns a resort in Gili Asahan in Lombok.
I made a review of this resort on my other YouTube channel, the link can be found below.
It’s a beautiful island resort, so it’s recommended to see the video.

After I had more space in the garden I could clean up one side and do some more scaping, so the garden that used to look more like a nursery slowly turns into a real landscaped garden, well, small garden actually…

Visiting Bali Orchid Garden

Bali’s tropical climate is ideal for the harmonious evolution of some of the most beautiful and appreciated flowers, orchids. Balinese people have taken advantage of this and they opened a garden dedicated to these gracious plants. It is situated approximately 10 minutes drive away from Sanur beach, so I decided to benefit from the proximity, and I visited it when we stayed in this part of the island.
