Meet a Former CIA Chief of Disguise | Object of Intrigue | Atlas Obscura

Meet Jonna Mendez, the former CIA Chief of Disguise (a real job!). During her tenure, Mendez oversaw the equipment used by spies to conceal their identities, including a five-second mask, which had been inspired by Hollywood. The technology, developed over a period of 10 years, allowed for facial movement—and, unlike its cinematic counterparts, which required hours in the makeup chair, it could be put on and removed at a moment’s notice. Listen to Mendez explain the ins and outs of this unique piece of spy technology.

How Rats Are Trained For TV & Movies | Movies Insider

Rats can be trained to act in movies just like cats and dogs, but working with a pack of rodents on a film set requires someone with a lot of organizational skills and a close attention to detail. More specifically, a rat trainer needs to be able to identify a rat's personality, strengths, and weaknesses to be able to cast them in the best possible role. To find out exactly what it takes to train rats for movies, we spoke with Mark Harden, a senior trainer at Animals for Hollywood, who worked with 300 rats on Bram Stoker's Dracula and 600 on the 2003 horror film Willard.

Day in the Life of a Japanese Game Illustrator

A day in the life of a Japanese Square Enix Game Illustrator. Square Enix is one of the top video game developers in Japan, creating ultra popular titles known-worldwide such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and making it all happen, 3700 hard working employees. Today, we follow a Japanese Game Illustrator working in the Japanese game development company from morning until the evening. We show what a typical work day in Japan would be including her typical work hours as a Japanese game illustrator working for Square Enix. We also see her morning routine and after work hobbies. Also this is what it would be like working for a popular Japanese game company and the different staff you may come across during a typical work day. The Japanese game industry has so many different jobs so it was great to be able to show another job outside of game development and game programming. Rubi has been working as a video game illustrator in Japan for 6 years now. Even as a little girl she loved to draw but growing up couldn’t envision a proper career where she could pursue her passion. So she entered University majoring in a completely different field, but when her job hunting started, she discovered that there were prestigious Japanese companies were offering illustration jobs. Recognizing the opportunity, she convinced her parents to let her study Character Design at a Professional Training College, ultimately leading to her dream job at her current company, Square Enix and working with Art Directors like Toshiyuki Itahana.

The Making of Fast & Furious Supercharged Universal Studios Hollywood

This is the complete advertising campaign, including a behind-the-scenes look at the new (Summer 2015) Fast & Furious Supercharged attraction/ride at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in Universal City / Los Angeles, California.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged is an attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Florida, and was canceled at Universal Studios Beijing. The attraction is based on the Fast & Furious film franchise, which features Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson. The Hollywood version opened on June 25, 2015, as part of the Studio Tour. The Florida version of the ride, which opened on April 23, 2018, features Ludacris and Jordana Brewster in the attraction's pre-show.

As the tram makes its way past Wisteria Lane during Universal's Studio Tour, to the left is a black Dodge Charger next to a beige house. The tour guide, who is apologizing for the unplanned event, is interrupted by Luke Hobbs, telling guests that they will be sent to a safe location. This is because Owen Shaw and his gang are after a high-valued witness on the tram. The tram enters the garage and is given an introduction to Roman Pearce and Letty Ortiz, two of the franchise's characters. The tram drives further into the garage, where, using Pepper's ghost illusion, a party is interrupted by Agent Novak, who escorts the partygoers out of the room. Agent Novak wants to stop Roman, but Dominic Toretto and Letty appear, followed by Hobbs, who has a bigger gun and takes Novak away. Screeching cars in the background alert the team that trouble is ahead. The riders put on their 3D glasses. The team makes way for their vehicles and begins the chase in a parking lot underground, where Owen Shaw appears to seek revenge on Dominic, leading a chase outside on the freeway.
