South Korea is a country where you can find historical site next to modern building. if you don't believe, you guys can check the video.

Changdeokgung Palace - Korea - UNESCO World Heritage

Changdeokgung also known as Changdeokgung Palace or Changdeok Palace — is set within a large park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the Five Grand Palaces built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). As it is located east of Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeokgung — along with Changgyeonggung — is also referred to as the East Palace (동궐, 東闕, Donggwol).

Changdeokgung was the most favored palace of many Joseon princes and retained many elements dating from the Three Kingdoms of Korea period that were not incorporated in the more contemporary Gyeongbokgung. One such element is the fact that the buildings of Changdeokgung blend with the natural topography of the site instead of imposing themselves upon it. It, like the other Five Grand Palaces in Seoul, was heavily damaged during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945). Currently, only about 30% of the pre-Japanese structures survive. Visit South Korea - Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

Gyeongbokgung (Hangul: 경복궁; Hanja: 景福宮), also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Built in 1395, it is located in northern Seoul, South Korea. The largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty, Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings' households, as well as the government of Joseon.

Gyeongbokgung continued to serve as the main palace of the Joseon dynasty until the premises were destroyed by fire during the Imjin War and abandoned for two centuries. However, in the 19th century, all of the palace's 7,700 rooms were later restored under the leadership of Prince Regent Heungseon during the reign of King Gojong. Some 500 buildings were restored on a site of over 40 hectares.[1] The architectural principles of ancient Korea were incorporated into the tradition and appearance of the Joseon royal court.

In the early 20th century, much of the palace was systematically destroyed by Imperial Japan. Since then, the walled palace complex is gradually being reconstructed to its original form. Today, the palace is arguably regarded as being the most beautiful and grandest of all five palaces. It also houses the National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum within the premises of the complex. - Wikipedia

The Story of Deoksugung Palace in Art (Choreography Cho Yong-min, Composit&Perform Lee Geon-seung)

Art Performance Cultural Heritage Commentary - The story of the pavilion, which is told in art, is a kind of moving cultural heritage commentary board that expresses and captures cultural heritage commentary on Deoksugung Palace in various artistic activities. If the introduction consists of writings and photos of existing cultural heritage commentaries and information, this video is a three-dimensional description of the history contained in the palace halls with dynamic songs and dances.

Deoksugung Palace and Korean modern history are divided into specific stories to express the historical significance of Korean cultural heritage with a raw and intuitive impression to Koreans as well as the world of various cultures and languages.

The first pavilion in this commentary is the Stone Painting Exhibition. Details consist of ▲ 1 movement, ▲ 2 music, and ▲ 3 photos, and the entire video takes about 15 minutes. The historical meaning of Seokjojeon, which was a symbol of the modern independent state, was set as the will to build a modern independent state and peace of the world and public space of mankind, and expressed it in modern dance and contrabass performance.

Subtitles inserted in the introduction and finishing images make it easier to understand the purpose and content of the video. Subtitles are made in Korean, English and Chinese, and in April, they will also release short videos edited in five minutes and additional videos edited in black and white.

This commentary was created by collaboration and talent donations of artists. Cho Yong-min, an art director and contemporary dancer in London since 2005, Lee Kun-seung, who studied jazz at the University of Philadelphia University of Arts, photography Hwang Jong-hwan and video Park Ji-hoon were in charge.

There have been many art performances on the stage of the palace pavilion, but most of them have used the pavilion as a simple performance stage or expressed a large historical event or period history. The Art Performance Cultural Heritage Commentary Edition-The Story of the Exhibition in Art differs from the existing palace performance in that it functions as a cultural heritage commentary that captures the history of each palace in different languages of art.

The Deoksugung Palace Management Office of the Palace Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration plans to hold the exhibition, the traditional style of the Deoksugung Palace, as the next part of the Art Performance Cultural Heritage Commentary-Art Story. We hope that the cultural heritage commentary board introduced as an art will serve as a new medium for high-quality sensibility of the Korean Empire's history and culture, and it will be another opportunity for people around the world to approach Korea's modern history in a non-face-to-face era.
