If you’re looking for a great outdoor escape, Arkansas has some of the prettiest state parks in the country. From the majestic Ozark Mountains to the stunning waterfalls in the Ouachita Mountains, there is something for everyone here.
One of the most popular state parks in Arkansas is Petit Jean State Park, located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. This park offers a variety of outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, fishing, and camping. It also features an iconic sandstone formation called Bear Cave Mountain.

The state of Kansas offers many hidden gems for camping. Quite a few are free for the adventurous.
I've only shown a few.
Big Bluestem Campground review at Wilson State Park in Kansas. This place is HUGE!
Many sights with beautiful views. About all are level with the exceptions I pointed out. Fishing, boating, bike riding, 25 mile mountain biking route, swimming areas, and more. What a gorgeous place.

Kansas Country Inn & RV Park. Oakley, KS For the money, an ok place to spend the night.
Off to a bad start for the day, but we got a good quiet nights rest here off the Interstate. Electricity and dump at each site, but no water. Buffalo Bill Cultural Center is right there in town. Arriving late, we missed it. Dang.
Kansas is a wide state and it takes a while to cross. If you need a quick stop over and electricity, it is worth it.

In our Intech Sol Horizon, we are small enough that we can fit in small sites. Which is great because we got the last reservation available at USA RV Park, and that site would only fit a smaller trailer.
