Buffet 40 THB ($1.29) Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand (บุฟเฟต์ 40 บาท สวนลุมพินี) #StreetFood #Bangkok #Thailand

Located on the fence just outside the major central Lumphini Park in Bangkok, Thailand, are a number of Thai street food stalls. You can get all sorts of delicious and on the go Thai food. But there’s one stall where you pay 40 THB ($1.29), and you can eat as much as you want, a full buffet. I’d say it’s one of the most affordable buffets I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.

You’ll find a mix of different Thai dishes, a variety of different curries with coconut milk, and a number of different stir fry dishes. Overall, you have about a dozen different Thai dishes to choose from. I was surprised by the amount of meat in dishes - they don’t skimp at all on the meats and proteins. You first grab a plate of rice and start digging in to whatever you want.

Two of my favorite dishes at this Thai street food buffet were the boiled beef with lemongrass, and the boiled salmon soup!

In addition to an affordable all you can eat buffet, the people you meet eating here are cool and laid back, and the owner and chef is so friendly. He kept inviting me back to the buffet line to eat more food - “come back and have another plate!”

Street Food in 2020 ???? Thai Food SOCIAL DISTANCING in Bangkok, Thailand! ????????

???? Extreme Thai Street Food Tour:
???? 100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

#Thailand #streetfood #streetfood2020

From about middle of February to middle of March to middle of May, Thailand closed all sit down dining at restaurants and street food stalls, and only take-away food was permitted. But with a great campaign to reduce the spread of infection, in the middle of May 2020, Thailand re-opened its restaurants and street food stalls for sit down, dining in customers - under certain regulations and guidelines. The main rule is that it’s one person per table, unless you have some kind of a barrier on the table. And street food vendors have become very creative to have cardboard or plastic shields to divide tables.

Thai street food in 2020 - I wanted to go out and experience the social distance dining regulations in Bangkok for my self - so we my wife and I headed to Yaowarat, which is Bangkok’s Chinatown - known for its vibrant street food culture. Most street food stalls were open for evening service, but it was still very quiet compared to normal, maybe 15% of the action and energy and customers that would typically be there. Even though sit down customers are now permitted, many Thai street food stalls in Bangkok have taken to using apps for delivery.

Here are the places and food we ate:

Kuay Tiew Muay Zaa (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมวยซ่าาส์) - This is a noodle stall restaurant in the middle of Sampeng Market. I had never been here before, but just stopped in as it was a convenient location. I orderecd their Tom Yum Noodles (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำ), which was pretty decently good, filled with a variety of fish balls. Ying had the yen ta fo (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเย็นตาโฟ).
Price - 40 THB (1.26 USD) per bowl

Bitter Liquid (น้ำขม)

Krua Porn La Mai (ครัวพรละมัย) - This is a legendary well known Thai street food stall in Chinatown, known for their flaming on iron skillets filled with a variety of different dishes. They set up tables with increased social distances, spacing out the tables, and with plastic sheet barriers between diners at each table. We ordered Suki (สุกี้น้ำไก่), Fried Noodles (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่กรอบ), and finally Oyster Omelet (หอยทอด).
Total price - 230 THB (7.22 USD)

Pa Tong Go Savoey (ปาท่องโก๋เสวย) - Finally, we ended this Thai street food tour in 2020 with Thai Chinese style pa tong go, or youtiou savory fried dough. It was delicious, this is one of the best places, featured in the Michelin Guide. Pa Tong Go (ปาท่องโก๋) - 70 THB.

And that completes this Thai street food tour in 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand. Overall, most people wear masks, and many street food vendors have added plastic sheet shields to their cooking and food displays. Additionally, especially in busier areas of Bangkok, street food tables have a blockade between customers.

Hope you’re doing well, having a great day, and keeping safe. Thank you for your incredible support!

Eating at ORIGINAL THAI FOOD TRUCK! ???? Asian STREET FOOD on Wheels!

???? Chiang Mai Street Food Tour:
???? 100% Durian Chips - Order Here:

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND - Ok, so it’s probably not the original food truck of the world, there must be others who’ve sold food out of their truck for about as long as automobiles have been invented. But this red Datsun in the heart of Chiang Mai, is the original Thai street food truck in Thailand! While the food is quite normal Thai street food, it’s the legend, the history, and the coolness factor of the food truck that make it so memorable. #ChiangMai #Thailand #streetfood #ThaiFood

We arrived in middle of the afternoon, and already they were mostly sold out, but they did have enough ingredients for a few more dishes - and even though they said they didn’t have any rice, they managed to come up with a plate for me. That was nice of them.

At first they were a little shy and not so sure why we showed up to eat. But they really warmed up, and were so friendly to us, and eventually started laughing and joking, and they especially loved Micah.

Here are the dishes we ordered, everything very typical Thai street food dishes:

Pad see ew (ผัดซีอิ๊ว)
Chicken holy basil (ผัดกะเพราไก่)
Stir fried vegetables (ผัดผักรวม)

Total price - 140 THB ($4.47)

Again, the food was average - it’s not going to be the best Thai food you ever eat - but the location, the original Thai street food truck - is what made it special. This is just everyday Thai food, enjoyed by everyone.

Location: Right across the street from Wat Chai Mongkhon Temple (

Thank you for watching, hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Start Your THAI STREET FOOD Journey in SILOM BANGKOK ???????? Mango Sticky Rice, Tom Yum + More (EP.1)

Welcome to episode 1 of Street Food in Silom Bangkok.

Silom Soi 20 was one of the first places to have Thai to English translations and street food menus. It's one of the best places I know for you to start your Street Food Journey in Bangkok. It's not just for beginners here though, Soi 20 is a legit local Thai food paradise.

I had a Tom Yum and Moo Krob (crispy pork) at 3 สาว Siam Food, then finished up with some mango sticky rice but I'd also highly recommend the guay jub nam kon here and the biryani!

The dish that 3 สาว Siam Food's small family shophouse restaurant is famous for is Tom Yum but they sell any stir-fried dish you can think of and the moo krob is fantastic!

I would go as far as to say this is one of my favourite Thai stir fry (tam sang) shops in Bangkok now!

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past five plus years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!

I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country.

If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!

Food Delivery Riders Wait For Orders During Bangkok Covid-19 Shutdown

Food delivery riders wait for orders as residents stuck at home during a coronavirus lockdown rely on their service for their meals. Footage shows the workers outside the Esplanade shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand, where restaurants have been forced to close and switch to take-out deliveries only. While many people have stayed at home, the motorcycle riders who work for various app-based services, have put themselves on the front line to keep the city well fed. All of them were seen wearing masks to protect them from the infection while checking their smartphones for incoming ordered. Due to most customers working from home while they have avoided going to public areas, delivery riders have been gaining extra tasks. Office workers have also been increasingly relying upon the delivery services, with their regular restaurants and cafes closed down. Thailand has already been one of the most competitive markets for food delivery services, even before the Covid-19 hit Bangkok and other big cities in Asia. Thailand has enforced strict measures to contain the pandemic by closing all non-essential businesses, issuing regional travel bans and banning non-residents from entering the country.

Thailand street food delivery with a strut and a smile...

In my pursuit of self expression I find it confusing choosing the platform. Is it an instagram story? A short film? A long-form youtube vlog? On this day I shot of bunch of footage and figured I'd figure it out later. I edited down a series of one to two minute videos that I posted as separate instagram stories. They were well received and I think they will flow as one longer story. Shot on Rompho Road in Jomtien Beach Thailand. Enjoy!
