► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ????

The Holy City of Teotihuacan ???????? Mexico Pre-Hispanic World Heritage Site

The holy city of Teotihuacan ('the place where the gods were created') is situated some 50 km north-east of Mexico City. Built between the 1st and 7th centuries A.D., it is characterized by the vast size of its monuments – in particular, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, laid out on geometric and symbolic principles. As one of the most powerful cultural centres in Mesoamerica, Teotihuacan extended its cultural and artistic influence throughout the region, and even beyond. ( )

Climbing the Pyramid Teotihuacan

This pyramid is called Teotihuacan and it's located in Central Mexico. The origin of these builders are still a mystery and the identity of the builders are still in debate as the original Aztecs (Mexicas) have said that they found these structures and rebuilt them to their original shape.

Who do you think originally built Teotihuacan?

Massive Serpent Shadow

Chichen Itza is the most popular spot in Mexico to celebrate the spring equinox. During the spring equinox, thousands of visitors gather to witness the phenomena of the light and shadow movements, like the serpent that descends upon the steps of the Castillo Pyramid. It looks like a 120 ft length snake is creeping downstairs until it joins the serpent’s head at the bottom of the stairway. Equinox in Chichen Itza is truly a dramatic display of Mayan Astronomical knowledge, stunning architecture and incredible geometry.

Exploring the Incredible Teotihuacan Pyramids, Mexico City

Forbidden Tunnel inside the Bent Pyramid of Dahshur

When I was alone inside the Bent Pyramid which is located in Dahshur south of Giza and the Great Pyramid, I noticed a door that was locked. It had a hole in the fence so I decided to climb through to see what is inside.
I found myself in a long and steep passage and there was a pit which was covered with wooden planks. Also there was a very strong wind coming from this tunnel.
On the right side there was a white limestone block that was sticking out of the floor which made it look very special.
I continued to walk inside the tunnel and I switched off my flash light to see if there was any light coming from the end of the passage. It was pitch black dark.

Teotihuacan In Mexico: Mysterious Ancient Pyramidal Complex

The huge ancient site in Mexico called Teotihuacan, the Birthplace of the Gods or Where Men Became Gods in the Aztec Nahuatl language was supposedly built by the Toltec people about 100 AD. However, it is possible that at least aspects of this site are far older. Come and explore with us.

Teotihuacán Pyramids, CITY OF THE GODS | ???????? Mexico - Ancient Mysterious World Heritage Site |HD|

Teotihuacan also written Teotihuacán was a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city located in a sub valley of the Valley of Mexico, located in the State of Mexico 30 miles (48 km) northeast of modern-day Mexico City, known today as the site of many of the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in the pre-Columbian Americas. Apart from the pyramids, Teotihuacan is also anthropologically significant for its complex, multi-family residential compounds; the Avenue of the Dead; and the small portion of its vibrant murals that have been exceptionally well-preserved. Additionally, Teotihuacan exported a so-called Thin Orange pottery style and fine obsidian tools that garnered high prestige and widespread utilization throughout Mesoamerica.

The city is thought to have been established around 100 BC, with major monuments continuously under construction until about AD 250. The city may have lasted until sometime between the 7th and 8th centuries AD, but its major monuments were sacked and systematically burned around 550 AD. At its zenith, perhaps in the first half of the 1st millennium AD, Teotihuacan was the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas, with a population estimated at 125,000 or more, making it at minimum the sixth largest city in the world during its epoch. Teotihuacan began as a new religious center in the Mexican Highland around the first century AD. This city came to be the largest and most populated center in the New World. Teotihuacan was even home to multi-floor apartment compounds built to accommodate this large population. The term Teotihuacan (or Teotihuacano) is also used for the whole civilization and cultural complex associated with the site.

Although it is a subject of debate whether Teotihuacan was the center of a state empire, its influence throughout Mesoamerica is well documented; evidence of Teotihuacano presence can be seen at numerous sites in Veracruz and the Maya region. The Aztecs may have been influenced by this city. The ethnicity of the inhabitants of Teotihuacan is also a subject of debate. Possible candidates are the Nahua, Otomi, or Totonac ethnic groups. Scholars have also suggested that Teotihuacan was a multiethnic state.

The city and the archaeological site are located in what is now the San Juan Teotihuacán municipality in the State of México, approximately 40 kilometers (25 mi) northeast of Mexico City. The site covers a total surface area of 83 square kilometers (32 sq. mi) and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It is the most visited archaeological site in Mexico.
