ONE DAY IN TUSCANY (Visiting 3 different wineries!)
We took a day trip to Tuscany and visited three different wineries. We had delicious wine, an amazing lunch and even got to taste different olive oils. Once we returned to Florence, we stopped to get a drink and then headed over the river to get gnocchi. We were stuffed but who could resist gelato when it was right across the street!? #italy #tuscany #florence

4 DAYS IN TUSCANY: Florence, Siena, Chianti Wine Tasting, and more!
Tuscany was our second stop in our 20-day babymoon in Italy! We used Siena and Florence as our base for travel to the surrounding countryside. From Siena, we joined a small group tour and visited Monterrigioni, San Gimignano, and Volterra. From Florence, we joined a wine tasting tour that took us to wineries of both Florentine and Sienese Chianti Classico wines and to the small towns of Greve and Castellina. Tuscany was gorgeous!

Eat & Explore Florence and Tuscany with us in just 48 hours!
On this 3rd stop in our Italy travels, we make our way to Firenze! My fiancé and I, as well as my sister and her fiancé visit this beautiful and historic city! Since our stay was only 2 nights long, we did as much as we possibly could and had such a wonderful trip! We stay at a lovely and local airbnb and explore all the city has to offer, such as the best gelato ever at Vivoli, the famous panini at all'antico vinaio, a classic Florentine Steak dinner at Vetreria Ristorante, and more! We visit the beautiful Uffizi Gallery, as well as go on an epic wine tour of the Chianti region in Tuscany! We really enjoyed this tour so I linked it below for you to check out! Here’s all the Italian food we ate in Florence:
All’Antico Vinaio, Florence, Italy ( - We’re starting off this Italian street food tour with what is easily one of the world’s most famous sandwiches from All’Antico Vinaio. Their bread is immaculate, right out of the oven. I tried three different sandwiches, all of which were outstanding:
Sandwich 1: Favolosa - Sbriciolona salami, cream of pecorino cheese, artichokes, spicy eggplants
Sandwich 2: La Inferno - Roast suckling pig, spicy cream, spicy eggplant, rocket
Sandwich 3: La Paradiso - Mortadella, stracciatella cheese, pistachios
Tripperia Pollini Lampredotto - You can visit Florence without trying their beloved lampredetto, a sandwich made with the cow’s 4th stomach (abomasum). Traditionally it’s just served with salt and pepper, but with some herb oil and chili oil it really bumps up the flavor.
Vivoli Gelato - Continuing with this Italian food tour with had a Gran Crema Caffè Vivoli (Affogato) - Cream gelato with coffee, at one of the original and historical gelato shops - it was delicious!
Tripe sandwich: Da' Vinattieri - Edoardo next brought us into an alley to eat Trippa alla Fiorentina - Florence style tripe sandwich, which is slightly different from the lampredetto we had already eaten earlier.
La Sorbettiera - After trying the original and old style gelato affogato, we then needed to try a modern gelato spot.
Cibrèo Ristorante, Florence, Italy ( - Finally, along with all the street food, we decided to sit down for a massive higher end dinner to highlight some of the true and nearly forgotten Italian dishes of Florence. We tried the massive Antipasto, Collo di pollo ripieno - stuffed chicken neck, Tagliolini cacio e burro - pasta with cheese and butter, Roastbeef del Cibrèo Caffè - roast beef with butter sauce, and finally Cibrèo - chicken and rooster organs in egg and lemon sauce! What a meal, highly recommended and thank you again for Edoardo for arranging it.

We are so excited to finally be sharing our WINE TOUR in Tuscany, Italy!
When we decided to come to Italy, we KNEW we had to include a wine tour in the famous Chianti wine region - a world famous region of wineries and vineyards. We knew we'd love it, but we were honestly shocked at just HOW much we enjoyed ourselves! A lot of this has to do with the people you travel with, and we had one of the best groups around.
We did a day trip from Florence, we left around 9 am and came back around 6! This was the perfect amount of time to get a taste of Tuscany.
We visit 2 wineries, starting with Fattoria Poggio Alloro. This was an amazing winery/vineyard to visit, because they grew almost everything in house! From pasta to honey to wine, they did it all. From there, we headed to the well-preserved, medieval town of San Gimignano! This was an unexpected and incredible stop for the day! The history here is extremely interesting and the town being so well preserved is something that is almost impossible to find anywhere else in Italy. We had some of the world's BEST gelato at Gelateria Dondoli, explored the towers, and then got back on the road for our next stop - Tenuta Torciano. We tried NINE wines here as well as easily the best lasagna that has ever existed.
We had such a wonderful time learning about wine tasting, food pairing, and enjoying great company. This is easily one of the best options for a wine tour from Florence, it felt very personal!
