Taking an overnight boat launch from Dhaka to Barisal may not sound like a bucket-list item for everyone... But for us it's been something we've been looking forward to for a long time!
In this episode we join the rush and chaos that is Sadar Ghat at the ferry terminal in Old Dhaka and find the launch we are going to take for the night. Old Dhaka is definitely an adventure... and travelling by boat even more so.

Finally i managed to get away from Dhaka with my hand issue !! Was able to leave most of my luggage with someone so i could take a small pack, i met with a couchsurfer and his wife in Barisal where we went to the waterways on a boat to see if there were any floating Guava markets, not so many but had a great time with them.... the ship experience was really cool! i was late getting there and my choices were limited and my main priority was A/C...i never normally pay that much when i travel, or id not be able to travel long!! but this was a one off! i took the lower class coming back! thanks for watching !! i dont think many of these ships will be running for many more years, with the fuel costs and now the new bridge, so go while you can! was really fun meeting everyone!!

Do you remember we took an overnight launch from Dhaka to Barisal not long after we arrived in Bangladesh with kids? We loved it! And now, we've done it again - this time in reverse and all the way from Morrelganj back to Dhaka.
This time the trip took 22 hours by boat and we have plenty of time to give you a proper tour of the launch (engine room included!).
We loved this way of traveling in Bangladesh!

Seguimos en Daca, Bangladesh. El país más contaminado del mundo y también uno de los países más densamente poblados del mundo.
Como mujer viajando y explorando sola las calles de Dhaka, interactuando con varios locales os muestro en las condiciones tan duras en las que viven sumergiéndome en uno de los barrios más marginales y pobres de Dhaka. Pero esta vez será para tomar un barco desde Dhaka a la ciudad de Barisal.
Un barco donde dormirán más de 1000 personas y muchas de ellas en el suelo. Pero no solo os mostraré el barco por dentro sino que también os mostraré la vida nocturna en el puerto. Compraremos comida a los locales que están vendiendo y también interactuamos con ellos.
Os muestro si es peligroso o no viajar sola a un país musulmán, como los locales tratan a los extranjeros y mucho más.
