TOP THINGS TO DO IN BOGOTA COLOMBIA | South America Ep 16

This week on Moose & Roo,

What are the top things to do when in Bogota, Colombia? We headed out on a crazy bike tour through the city, played Tejo with Gun powder, tried exotic Colombian fruits, and cracked fruits over Chris' head!
We also had to come to Bogota to sort out our passport issues, as it is the Capital of Colombia, but had a bit of fun along the way :)

If you really liked what you saw in this video, please give us a thumbs up and SUBSCRIBE, it really helps out channel, and we try very hard to get better and better every week!

Sincerely,
Moose & Roo

To go on the Bike tours when in Colombia, we HIGHLY recommend:
@Bogotabiketours Give Niko a shout out and tell him we sent you!

— About Exploring Colombia —
Colombia, a country which many only know because of it’s violent past, has been on my list since I went to South America for my first long-term trip in 2012. 6 Years later and with 5 weeks to spend it was finally time to properly explore my country number 9 on the continent.

For the first part of the trip I’ll be traveling with my mate David to the historical city of Cartagena, some picturesque Carribean islands and to the city of Medellin where we get to learn about the violent past and the transformation of the country. After a few days in the capital Bogota I’ll be joined by my good friend Stefan to learn salsa and take on some outdoor adventures in Cali before heading up to Santa Marta where we checkout the most beautiful beaches, float down rivers and hike through the mountains.

Medellin vs. Bogota | Which Is The Better Expat Destination in Colombia?

Which is the best country for you?
???? Free Country Test ????

Medellin vs. Bogota

Another day another city comparison, today we will compare living in Medellin vs. living in Bogota.

Both cities have their own benefits when living there, but what are the biggest differences between Medellin and Bogota?

As always Sam shares his own opinion, the things that he claims to be a pro or a con for a city might be different for you. But since he can not talk for everyone, he sticks to his own opinion.

Medellin and Bogota are both great cities to live in as an Expat. The city comparison should help to make your decision easier, in case you're thinking of relocating to one of those cities.

Bogota is the capital city of Colombia and ha around double of the population Medellin has.
It is a pretty international city and has a lot of corporate companies located there. Due to that you see more foreigners and here more different languages from all over the world. But is such a huge city for you?

Medellin is famous for its eternal spring weather (for us even eternal summer)
Medellin is a really developed city and has a lot of entrepreneurship in its air. It's a fast-growing city and has a lot of great spots to live in. But because the city isn't as big as Bogota there are not so many options to live in compared to Bogota. And a lot of great activities are further away. Is the city of Medellin right for you?

Watch the video and find out if one of those cities fit you better.

Don't hesitate to contact us with any Expat questions you might have. No matter if you've got questions about Medellin, Bogota, Santa Marta or Colombia in general. We would love to support you on your journey.

48 Hours in Bogotá

With sun-drenched colonial plazas sitting beside ultramodern skyscrapers, Colombia’s capital city is a place of contrasts. Forget the outdated notions of this place as a gritty crime haven. These days, Bogotá is a safe and forward-thinking city that is trending with global adventurers.

If you only have 48 hours in Bogotá, there are some sights you have to hit.
With a rich history and a promising future, Bogotá is a fascinating place to be right now. And it’s so much bigger than you think! With a metro population of nearly ten million people, the city dwarfs most American and European cities.

Here’s my experience with 48 hours in Bogotá!

Quality of Life in Bogota, how did we feel there?

Tacha will talk about topics like people, activities, climate and more.

Bogota was way more than we expected it to be, we knew that Bogota is a huge city, but we didn't know that we will actually like it. We are more into smaller cities where you don't have so many people. But Bogota did its magic.

We were lucky to have BertJan and Maria our partners in Bogota, to show us around. They gave us the best possible experience there, by taking us to different places.

We even went a little out of Bogota to little villages which were amazing, that surely gave us an even better perspective of everything. You can be so near to such a huge city like Bogota but still living in a small town/village.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and will surely be back soon, to see even more of those beautiful landscapes and cultural monuments.

If you are interested to experience Bogota just as we did, then check out the following link with our relocation services in Bogota:

Pros and Cons of Bogota | Living in Colombia

For more information about Latin America, check out our E-Book:
???? E-Book ????

Bogota, the capital city of Colombia!

What to expect and what are the Pros and Cons we experienced in Bogota?

First I have to say that we both have been pretty surprised by Bogota, people kinda tend to speak badly about Bogota. Whatsoever, we liked it a lot but also noticed what we would rather skip, like the traffic for instance.

Bogota is famous for traffic and cool weather. But there's so much more than only the horrible traffic and the chilly weather.

Bogota is a huge city, with a lot to offer. It is international and has, therefore, tons of international schools. There you'll find the best school in the whole country.

There's a lot to see and a lot to do. We only had a few days but in those days we saw so many things already. Luckily we had great tour guides, BertJan, and Maria that showed us around the city and explained a lot of things that we would have needed to research for a long time.

They really gave us an Expat and a local view of Bogota, which is exactly what we needed in order to understand the city better and to see the differences to other cities in Colombia.

If you're planning to visit or even living in Bogota, we would highly recommend getting help from our trusted partners in Bogota.
