Nauru is considered to be the third smallest country in the world but the smallest state outside Europe, which is an island located in Micronesia in the Central Pacific region.
What is sad to notice about the culture of the island is that it is currently faded by international influences and very little of the old customs have been preserved, but this is a downside effect of globalization that has affected the region.
The spoken language on the island is Micronesian, however, English is widely spoken and understood there, so you as a tourist will not have trouble with this
Overall it is considered to be safe for tourists to go there but it is still recommended to take all measures for avoiding unpleasant cases.

The name of the island that we can see from the window is Nauru. Its just like a oval bean shaped right?
The name Nauru, i think you might not have heard this name.
Nauru means, 'I go to the beach.
Nauru is a phosphate-rock island with rich deposits near the surface, which allowed easy strip mining operations,which are not economically viable for extraction.
With only a 21 kilometer squares, Nauru is the third-smallest country in the world behind Vatican City and Monaco, making it the smallest republic as well as the smallest island nation.
It is called Pleasant Island, because of its attractive appearance surrounded by Coral cliffs.
Nauru is one of the most densely populated Westernized countries in the South Pacific.
There is no much places to see here ,except beach surrounding us, and a peak,The highest point of the plateau, called the Command Ridge, is at 71 meter above sea level.
The official language of Nauru is Nauruan,a distinct Micronesian language, which is spoken by 96 per cent of ethnic Nauruans at home.
English is widely spoken and is the language of government and commerce.
The main religion practised on the island is Christianity.
Nauruans are the most overweight people in the world, highly obessed and holds record of world's highest level of type 2 diabeties affected to 40% of the people.
This is because of westernisation of food and lack of physical work and exercises to people.
Australian rules football is the most popular sport in Nauru and weightlifting are considered the country's national sports.
