10 Best Free Things to Do in London

London is an expensive city, but being a tourist doesn't have to break your wallet. Here are 10 free or really cheap attractions in London! The first is the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace. It's the quintessential London Experience -- make sure you get there an hour early, and wait until at least 1134 when the main gates open!
2. Royal Parks
- London has tons of parks that used to only be open to the royal family, but now you can enjoy them just like the kings and queens did!
3. Sky Garden Observatory
- Get a birds eye view of London from this free Observatory on top of the Walkie Talkie building. Make a reservation in advance!
4. Walk along the South Bank of the Thames
- Known as the Queen's Walk, walking along the South Bank is one of my favorite things to do in London.
5. Watch Street Performers at Covent Garden Market
- Out in front of Covent Garden Market there always seems to be some street performers, and when one is done, another one comes out!
6. Picadilly Circus
- London's equivalent of Times Square, bright lights and big signs!
7. Tate Modern Museum
- Another great view of London, and some very interesting art
8. Go Window Shopping at London's Department Stores
- Particularly on Oxford Street, and at Harrod's, London's department stores always have really neat window displays
9. Rent a Santander Bicycle
- Ok, so it costs 2 GBP, but it's almost free!
10. Ride a Double Decker Bus
- Skip the really expensive hop on hop off busses, and go up to the 2nd deck at the front and see another neat perspective on London. Only 1.50 GBP

Top 10 Things To Do In London For Kids - London Attractions

There are top things to do in London in general when you are exploring the city as an adult, but if you are travelling along with your kids then it is important to consider some places that would end up being interesting for them.

There are lots of attractions in London that could turn any trip to a more interesting one, but since we are trying to shed the lights on the places that people could visit with their kids then there are top 10 things to do in London for kids which we will recommend through this video:

10 - Visit Namco Funscape: this is one of the fun things that adults enjoy as much as kids do and this is one of the different recommendations that we will give travelers because there the kids could enjoy lots of games, like Pac-Man Soft Play, American pool tables, the latest arcade games, ten-pin bowling and they could even eat and drink in the place.

9 - Enjoy the Beautiful Scenery of Big Ben: Big Ben is a must see for all those going to London, big and small, but it is still considered one thing to stress on when it comes to the places and things that adults should tell their kids about and get the chance to show them as well (

8 - Climb Aboard HMS Belfast: HMS Belfast is a town-class light cruiser that was built for the Royal Navy and it is now a museum ship on the River Thames in London. These places are always interesting for the kids because they get to explore the place that was once used in real back in time and walk through the floors which are still the same since that old time, so this is another recommendation to consider in London for the kids (

7 - Taking a Ride on London Eye: London Eye offers beautiful and magnificent views over the city of London and that's one of the main reasons why people love to ride it, apart from being now one of the top attractions in the city. This is one of the exciting places that kids will enjoy because they will be looking over the beautiful city (

6 - Visit Shrek's Adventure Shop: we want to say that the things which the kids enjoy are already things that adults love to do too, this will include the cartoon related shops and museums which are found out there. Shrek's Adventure Shop is one recommendation for the things to be done in London for the kids and which parents will enjoy with them; there are toys, mugs, shirts and lots of other things that are found there (

5 - Visit the Cereal Killer Cafe: one of the cafes that we came across in London while touring the city was an interesting one, it was the Cereal Killer Cafe. As much as the front display and the name attracted us, the whole idea behind the place and the inside decoration made us want to stay there forever; it gives you lots of different cereal types and brands and let you sit in an old-like simple atmosphere. Since the kids are crazy about cereal, you could take them for a snack there one day (

4 - Visit M&M's World: M&M's World is a shop located in London that offers all the admirers the chance to come inside and experience different things which they might have never even knew existed in the world of M&M's. This is another location which the kids will find themselves happy while walking around, checking all the products and even getting some M&M's back home with them (

3 - Discover the Natural History Museum: as much as choosing the places which the kids will enjoy themselves at, such as playing games or discovering their favorite characters, it is also important that the parents take them to places in which they are going to learn something, such as the Natural History Museum in London (

2 - Pass by King's Cross Harry Potter Shop: Harry Potter lovers are scattered all around the world and once they step their feet in London, they immediately start planning for the time they are going to visit Harry Potter's shop. This is interesting for the kids because they will get to take pictures, see mugs, experience famous clothes from the movie which they could buy, see the toys and lots of other things which are all found inside this shop (

1 - Visit Sea Life Aquarium: the last stop and attraction in London that would be interesting for the kids is the Sea Life Aquarium because there the kids will see lots of different sea creatures which they are going to learn more about, see in front of their own eyes and take pictures of as well (

Those are our recommended top 10 things to do in London for kids, let us know about your suggestions.
