Timor-Leste é um país no sudeste Asiático que ocupa metade da ilha de Timor, a capital é Dili e por mais que a língua oficial seja Português, o tétum é muito mais conhecido e falado.
Na minha passagem curta pela capital durante uma viagem pela Indonésia consegui conhecer o povo local e ter uma ótima viagem.
Dili é um local muito popular entre os mergulhadores que dizem que ser um dos melhores lugares para MERGULHO do MUNDO.
Ps: na época que fui , não fazia muitos videos e tem pouco conteúdo, qualquer dúvida deixe nos comentários que terei prazer em ajuda-los.

Portuguese legacy and RICH HISTORY of a small Asian capital: exploring Dili, Timor-Leste
I've spent a day on November 6, 2022 exploring Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, learning its rich history while admiring Portuguese colonial legacy.
Started my walk at the Government Palace, I walked to Motael Church and took a taxi to Timor Plaza. In the evening I visited Colmera neighborhood.
The other day, on November 9, 2022, I visited Santa Cruz cemetery to learn about how some sad events changed the history of the country towards independence.
Stayed in a Plaza Hotel Dili for $76 a night. Shown my spacious room in the end of the video.

This is an extract from my overland trip from Sydney, Australia to Germany in 1973. It covers the section from Baucau (in what was then Portuguese Timor) to the outskirts of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Immigrants in Timor-Leste
Immigrants in Timor-Leste
Timor-Leste (also known as East Timor) is a relatively small country located in Southeast Asia, occupying the eastern half of the island of Timor. Historically, Timor-Leste has had limited immigration due to its small size and remote location. However, it's important to note that the situation might have changed since then.
At the time of my last update, there were a few factors influencing immigration to Timor-Leste:
1 - Labor Migration: Timor-Leste has faced challenges in terms of its economy and job opportunities, and this has led to some level of labor migration. Some people from neighboring countries might seek employment opportunities in Timor-Leste, particularly in sectors such as construction, agriculture, and domestic work.
2 - Refugees and Asylum Seekers: In the past, there were instances of refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Timor-Leste due to conflicts and instability in nearby regions. However, the number of such cases has been relatively small compared to other parts of the world.
3 - Foreign Workers: Like many countries, Timor-Leste might allow certain skilled foreign workers to come to the country on a temporary basis to fill specific roles or contribute expertise in various sectors.
4 - International Organizations and NGOs: Timor-Leste hosts a number of international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and diplomatic missions. These entities might employ foreign staff members or experts to assist with their operations.
5 - Tourism and Business Travel: While not necessarily considered immigration, there might be an influx of tourists and business travelers entering Timor-Leste for short-term visits.
