80years macau wonton noodles / Macau street food / 80년된 마카우 완탕면

Wonton noodles is a Cantonese noodle dish.
Wonton noodles were not given their name, until the Tang Dynasty.
The dish is popular in Southern China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. The dish is usually served in a hot broth, garnished with leafy vegetables and wonton dumplings. The types of leafy vegetables used are usually kai-lan, also known as Chinese kale. Another type of dumpling known as shui jiao is sometimes served in place of wonton. It contains prawns, chicken or pork, and spring onions, with some chefs adding mushroom and black fungus.

In this Chinese street food tour of Chengdu, China, we're bringing you to eat at 4 classic Chengdu foods. Chinese cooking is some of the best in the world, and in Chengdu, China, the cuisine is world famously known as Sichuan cuisine or Szechuan cuisine. It is spicy and numbing and covered in delicious Chili oil. I moved here to Chengdu specifically to be able to eat spicy and delicious Chinese street foods.

►For addresses a full Chengdu Food Tour, visit my blog post on Chengdu street food, it has a huge list of the best street foods to try in Chengdu, China. The Chengdu food guide features all of the locations within this Chinese street food video: ►

In this Chinese street food tour video, we're starting out with one of China's most famous foods; DUMPLINGS. In Chengdu, they are different from the rest of China. Here, they are boiled and covered in a thick and spicy chili oil that leaves you so SATISFIED! These are some of the most satisfying dumplings ever! I must admit though, the filling could have been more plump. If you are traveling to Chengdu to eat Szechuan cuisine, I would personally recommend trying the red chili oil wontons first.

And after those amazing dumplings in Chengdu, we're eating another famous dish in Sichuan cuisine, RABBIT. Eating rabbit is very famous in Sichuan, and here in Chengdu, locals love it in a numbing and spicy Szechuan Sauce. But we wanted to try a more UNIQUE style of eating rabbit in Sichuan, on top of noodles. So we visited a local rabbit noodle joint and ate a couple unique bowls of Chinese Sichuan noodles. The first was the rabbit noodles, where the rabbit is served to you in thin slices covered in chilies, ginger, and onions. You then pour it over top of your thick and spicy chili oil broth noodle bowl. It was absolutely delicious. The next bowl of spicy noodles that we ordered was the beef noodle soup - red braised beef noodle soup. Super delicious and spicy!

After eating those 2 bowls of delicious Sichuan noodles, we are bringing you to a nice original fly restaurant of Chengdu, Mingting fandian. The fly restaurants of Chengdu are old locations that are sometimes less than cleanly but have incredible food! Nowadays most fly restaurants in Chengdu are actually really clean and you don't have to worry about getting sick from eating the street food. At mingting restaurant, we ordered a river carp, spicy pork blood, spare ribs, fried sticky rice strips, Sichuan sausages, twice cooked pork, and pig brain tofu. It was all incredibly delicious!

And for our final meal in this Chinese street food tour of Chengdu, China, we're going for one of the most famous foods to try in Sichuan, HOT POT! We found a local 9 section hot pot that serves spicy and delicious hot pot and is always busy! For detailed addresses to these restaurants and street foods, make sure to visit my full Chinese food guide to Chengdu, China:

Bangkok Street Food - Pork Noodle Soup

The key ingredients in this Thai vendor's version of Kway tiew nahm sai (clear noodle soup) are pork bones, shiitake mushrooms, and white pepper.

Each bowl starts with a layer of blanched Chinese kale and vermicelli rice noodles. Sliced meat and dollops of minced pork are then cooked in the boiling soup and added on top. Fish or pork balls, bean sprouts, and pork blood are optional. A ladle's full of delicious broth is then poured over the noodles to complete the dish.

Namdaemun Market is especially famous for two dishes : galchi jorim (braised hairtail fish) and kalguksu (handcut Korean noodles).
Each of these unique Korean dishes has their own alleyway in Namdaemun Market with restaurants serving some of the country’s best samples.
Galchi Jorim Alley sits in the northern part of the market just southeast Gate 2 (first alleyway south off of Namdaemunsijang-gil) while Kalguksu Alley is accessed north of Gate 6 (first alleyway to the left off of Namdaemungsijang 4-gil).

Chengdu Street Food - Dan Dan Noodles and Sliced Fatty Pork Noodles

Delicious sliced fatty pork slices with noodle and vegetables in broth. Dan Dan noodles with ground pork, doused in Sichuanese mala (麻辣) or , hot and numbing, chili oil. Seen in Chengdu, China's Jinli Old Ancient Street.

Dandan noodles or dandanmian (traditional Chinese: 擔擔麵, simplified Chinese: 担担面) is a noodle dish originating from Chinese Sichuan cuisine. It consists of a spicy sauce containing preserved vegetables (often including zha cai (榨菜), lower enlarged mustard stems, or ya cai (芽菜), upper mustard stems), chili oil, Sichuan pepper, minced pork, and scallions served over noodles.

Sesame paste and/or peanut butter is sometimes added, and occasionally replaces the spicy sauce, usually in the Taiwanese and American Chinese style of the dish. In this case, dandanmian is considered as a variation of ma jiang mian (麻醬麵), sesame sauce noodles. In American Chinese cuisine, dandanmian is often sweeter, less spicy, and less soupy than its Sichuan counterpart.

Unforgettable Soba Noodles from a Phone Booth - My Tokyo Street Food Tour Experience.

Unforgettable Soba Noodles from a Phone Booth - My Tokyo Street Food Tour Experience. Tokyo’s most famous soba restaurant. Kanda Matsuya is one of Tokyo’s finest of hand-cut (te–uchi) soba noodles. Founded in 1884 Kanda Matsuya is a long-standing Japanese restaurant known to all soba noodle lover.

0:31 Kanda Matsuya - Tokyo’s most famous soba restaurant. Founded in 1884 Kanda Matsuya is a long-standing most historical Japanese restaurant known to all soba noodle lover. The atmosphere of Kanda Matsuya is special. An old wood house in the middle of new buildings which gives you the experience of time travel. Inside is as traditional as the outside with the essence of Tokyo. Sharing tables and a vibrant atmosphere filled by people enjoying sake with their soba & tempura. You can see the chef making soba noodles from cutting the soba dough by hand. A very friendly service, giving us good recommendations on popular items. The waitress was also kind enough to walk us through the menu and answer any questions we had.

0:59 Wanting to enjoy the noodles in its finest form. I choose the Morisoba cold soba with a soy dipping sauce (¥650). Presented on a Zaru, which means “a strainer” in Japanese. They were rich in flavour springy with the sauce being just salty enough to flavour without overwhelming the nutty noodles. However, in my opinion, you need to order the noodles Omori (extra large) as I was still hungry. For those of you who prefer to keep it simple, I definitely recommend it. Since it was my first trip to Japan and was hungry to try more dishes. I decided to try one of their speciality Komonaban for the price of 1650 yen. Duck one of my favourite, so I had to choose that dish. Well balanced broth, perfect for a cold winter’s day. The noodles are firm with a bit of bounce which is the way I like them. The dish was subtle, simple flavours which combine for exceptional depth and complexity.

1:42 Matcha Everywhere - Matcha lattes, matcha ice cream and matcha desserts can be found all over Japan. Their vibrant green hue are being documented all over Instagram. Matcha looks like a fresh green colored cocoa powder and has a slightly bitter-but-sweet earthy taste. But when made as a dessert it is delicious, pairing well with chocolate, berries and dairy.

2:08 As the day continued, I discovered a casual authentic casual Japanese shop. They serve Jiyoza dumplings filled with ground pork and vegetables. I didn’t like the dumpling they had a moderate texture and flavor. Unforgettable Soba Noodles from a Phone Booth - My Tokyo Street Food Tour Experience But guesses what I tried for the first time ?
