????????TEOTIHUACAN - After 6 weeks in Mexico City I finally visited the AMAZING Teotihuacan, located just an hour's drive from CDMX. This has to be one of the top Mexico City activities if you're in the area!

Check out the Avenue of the Dead, Pyramid of the Moon and Pyramid of the Sun and more. The Pyramids of Teotihuacan are spellbinding in terms of the size and scale, you will be blown away!

Teotihuacan rose to prominence in Mexico between 100-BC and 250 AD - the origins are unknown. Around the 7th Century, Teotihuacan began to decline, potentially due to agricultural or environmental issues. It was then discovered by the Aztecs, who shared common ancestry.

You can get a tour to Teotihuacan, but you can also do it by yourself (as I did). Get the bus from Gate 8 at Autobuses del Norte, this costs 52 pesos one way and takes only an hour!

PYRAMIDS OF TEOTIHUACAN (MEXICO CITY VLOG) | Eileen Aldis

I took a bus from Mexico City to explore the ancient ruins of the pyramids of Teotihuacan! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is absolutely massive and contains the enormous Pyramid of the Sun, one of the largest pyramids in the world. My personal favourite was the Pyramid of the Moon! I climbed the very steep steps to get a view from the top that looks out over the whole complex and straight down the Avenue of the Dead. These pyramids remain largely a mystery and exactly who built them is open to discussion. Whoever built them, however, was at least one thousand years before the Aztecs! They left behind some incredible ruins for us to look at in wonder. If you're planning a trip, you can take a short (one hour) bus ride from Mexico City for 100 pesos return. There is no shade so I'd bring a hat or umbrella, sunscreen, water, snacks, and comfortable walking shoes as the ground is very uneven and you'll want to be able to climb. Have you visited Teotihuacan? Leave a comment below and tell me about your experience :)

Exploring Pyramids in Teotihuacan, Mexico City | MEXICO TRAVEL VLOG

During our second week in Mexico City we planned a trip to the ancient city of Teotihuacan. This once Aztec settlement hosts some fantastic Pyramids and ancient sites to explore!

There are 2 main pyramids to climb, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon plus plenty of smaller pyramids and structures.

Climbing these structures at the altitude the city sits at is tough going as the air is much thinner but we managed to reach the summit of all the pyramids and were treated to some spectacular views!

Mexico's INCREDIBLE Pyramids of Teotihuacan (only 1 hour from Mexico City!)

???? Where I Get My Music From – Try it 1 month FREE:

The Pyramids of Teotihuacán is an ancient site only a short drive from Mexico City.

►Thank you to Mexico a Pie Walking Tours:

Teotihuacán is a great day trip to take from CDMX, as it's only 40KM (25 miles) away from the capital city.

Teotihuacán's main attractions include the pyramid of the moon, the pyramid of the sun, and the pyramid of the feathered serpent. There are also some museums that can be visited, that were not included in this video just for the sake of time.

The entire experience is fascinating, though I will highly recommend you bring water and good walking shoes, as climbing the pyramids can be challenging on a hot day.

????????UXMAL - MEXICO - Do you fancy visiting some more ancient ruins? This time we're visiting Uxmal, which is close to Merida on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

Previously I've visited Tikal, Caracol and Xunantunich in Guatemala and Belize, plus on this channel, Teotihuacan in Mexico. Many of these have different origins, but Uxmal is definately Mayan.

Many tourists only visit Chichen Itza. In my opinion, Uxmal is significantly more impressive as it's more accessible, larger and you can climb the Great Pyramid to access amazing views across the area! In this video I also go into detail on How to get to Uxmal!

Uxmal is an amazing trip to add to your list of Things to Do in Mexico for your Mexico Trip. Next up is Chichen Itza!

Why not check out my Mexico City videos, from how to get the metro, Chapultepec Park, the Zocalo, Coyoacan, San Angel and more! Playlist link is below! -

Teotihuacan

We visited the pyramids about an hours drive outside of Mexico City, these are amazing constructions that you can still climb and visit in Mexico.

We saw remains of the old civilisation and had a great meal afterwords at a cool restaurant called La gruta, this a great place to eat after climbing up all the pyramids.

it is 80 pesos to visit with a student ID or as a Mexican national, and it's maybe 200 for foreigners.
If you go by car its the most comfortable, but you can also take a tour bus or even an Uber all the way there, and our friends had no trouble to take an Uber back to the city afterwords.

Enjoy your visit!

Ep. 7 Teotihuacán pyramids - Van life in Mexico 2021

What is inside Teotihuacan?
Why you should visit Teotihuacan?
Can you still climb #Teotihuacan?
How much does it cost in #Mexico currency to visit Teotihuacan?
All these questions and more we are gonna answer in our video.

Teotihuacán is one of the world's most impressive archaeological sites. The pyramid city has been explored scientifically since more than a century, 95% of the ruins haven't been excavated yet.
Teotihuacán was a powerful political, military, economic and cultural centre that influenced the whole of Mesoamerica.
It is still not known, who were the inhabitants of Teotihuacán, and not even its original name is known. When the Aztecs arrived on the Mexican Central Plateau ,coming from the North, and discovered the abandoned ruins of the city, they connected it with their own creation myth, and gave it the name of Teotihuacán – place where gods were born. Also, the denominations of the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon as well as the Avenue of the Dead, can be traced back to the Aztecs.

Teotihuacan Místico

The Pyramids of TEOTIHUACAN

On my fourth and final day in Mexico, I take a day trip out to Teotihuacan to see the pyramids. It's an easy 1 hour ride on comfortable buses. The buses leave every half hour, which makes it very easy to visit if you have a few hour layover.

As it was my final day, I was happy I finally got to see the pyramids. I wasn't going to let anything stop me, even the rain.

Tacos and Teotihuacan | Mexico Travel Vlog

The perfect day in Mexico = Tacos and Teotihuacan.
Check out my photography on Instagram @brendanvanson.
I'm here in Mexico, and we went to Teotihuacan and did some exploring around Mexico city today.
I'm in Mexico with: Steve ( Jodie ( and Mike (
The plan today was to head out and get Chileaquiles and then head out and explore a bit of our neighbourhood in Mexico City before driving out to the Teotihuacan ruins and that's basically the plan we stuck to. And, I have to say, I could probably eat Chileaquiles every day here in Mexico. They are so good. Backpacker Steve and I also hiked out around the Condesa area of the city before leaving for the ruins.
In the afternoon, we picked up @alajode from the apartment and headed to Teotihuacan.
Teotihuacan is the oldest urban settlement in Latin America. It was once home to about 175,000 people, and it's 2400 years old. But, most of all, it's impressive.
We climbed one of the pyramids of Teotihuacan to start our exploration. It was massive. The temple of the sun is just a giant stack of rocks. But, the view from the top was amazing.
Our exploration of Teotihuacan was cut a bit short because the park closes at 5pm. But, we still got to explore quite a bit and grabbed some pretty cool images while up there.
Tacos were the name of the game for dinner after the ruins.
I mean, you can get tacos almost anywhere in Mexico City, but we're lucky to have an awesome tacos stand right next to our apartment. So, we kind of pigged out.
Tomorrow, the mexico travel vlog will take a bit of a break as I'm going to share some of my tips for growing your instagram. Stay tuned for that.
The Mexico travel vlogs will return after that as we go check out more stuff here in Mexico City.
