My First Impression about N'Djamena CHAD was an amazing, people are nice, hospitable, welcoming and supportive. Though it was very tough for me to vlog in this country but managed to show you the real Streets of Africa. N'djamena, Chad.

My first time before I came to Chad as expatriate, I was trying to find out how Chad looks like. I've been trying to find out more things in Chad Africa. However, there are very limited informations in YouTube, pictures or videos. During my 2-years working in Chad, I managed to gather some videos to share. De son histoire fascinante et de son riche patrimoine culturel, à sa beauté naturelle époustouflante, et ses villes dynamiques, le Tchad a quelque chose pour tout le monde. L'histoire du Tchad est caractérisée par une longue tradition de diversité ethnique, de troubles politiques et d'influences extérieures. Le territoire qui est aujourd'hui le Tchad a d'abord été habité par divers groupes autochtones, dont les peuples Sara, Kanembu, et Ouaddai.

Au XVIe siècle, des commerçants arabes et des érudits islamiques ont commencé à arriver dans la région, répandant leur religion et leur culture. Au cours du XIXe siècle, divers royaumes et empires ont émergé au Tchad, notamment l'empire Bornou, l'empire Bagouirmi et le royaume Ouaddai. Ces États se sont engagés dans le commerce et la diplomatie avec les puissances voisines, notamment le califat de Sokoto et l'empire colonial français. À la fin du XIXe et au début du XXe siècle, la France a établi le contrôle du Tchad, devenu une colonie en 1920. Les autorités françaises ont mis en œuvre des politiques, visant à moderniser l'économie et le système éducatif, mais ont également perpétué les inégalités sociales et économiques, qui continuent de façonner le développement du pays aujourd'hui.

Après avoir obtenu son indépendance en 1960, le Tchad a connu des décennies d'instabilité politique, notamment de multiples coups d'État et guerres civiles. Le pays a également été touché par des conflits externes et des guerres par procuration, comme le conflit tchado-libyen dans les années 1980, et l'insurrection en cours de Boko Haram, dans la région du lac Tchad. Malgré ces défis, le Tchad reste un pays diversifié et culturellement riche avec une histoire et un patrimoine dynamiques.

Le nom Tchad a été utilisé pour la première fois par les explorateurs européens, arrivés dans la région au 19ème siècle. À l'époque, la région était sous le contrôle du puissant empire Kanem-Bornu, qui était l'un des États les plus importants de la région. Au fil du temps, le nom Tchad est devenu largement adopté et a finalement été utilisé pour désigner l'ensemble du pays. Aujourd'hui, le nom Tchad est reconnu dans le monde entier, comme le nom d'une nation souveraine d'Afrique centrale. Malgré ses origines incertaines, le nom Tchad est devenu une partie importante de l'identité du pays, et il est souvent utilisé pour symboliser la beauté naturelle et le patrimoine culturel de la région.

N'Djamena est la capitale et la plus grande ville du Tchad, située dans la partie sud-ouest du pays sur les rives du fleuve chari. Elle a une population de plus d'un million d'habitants et est le centre économique, culturel et politique du Tchad. La ville possède une histoire et un patrimoine culturel riches, avec un mélange d'influences traditionnelles et modernes.

Elle abrite plusieurs sites culturels et historiques importants, notamment le Musée national du Tchad, qui présente la diversité de l'histoire et du patrimoine du pays, et la Grande Mosquée de N'Djamena, qui est l'une des plus grandes mosquées d'Afrique centrale et un site important. N'Djamena est également un centre commercial et d'affaires animé, avec une gamme de marchés, de boutiques et de restaurants. La ville abrite de nombreuses organisations internationales et ambassades, ce qui reflète son importance en tant que centre diplomatique dans la région.

Le Tchad a une population d'environ 17 millions d'habitants, ce qui en fé l'un des plus grands pays d'Afrique en termes de population. La population se caractérise par une riche diversité de groupes ethniques et linguistiques, notamment les Sara, les Kanembu, les Arabes, et les Arabes tchadiens. La majorité de la population vit dans les zones rurales, avec seulement environ 25% résidant dans les centres urbains. La capitale compte plu d'un million d'habitants. La population est majoritairement rurale, la majorité des habitants vivant dans de petits villages et des communautés agricoles. Cependant, ces dernières années, il y a eu une augmentation significative de l'urbanisation, en particulier dans la capitale N'Djamena.

La culture tchadienne est riche et diversifiée, avec un fort accent sur les valeurs communautaires et familiales. La musique et la danse sont une partie importante de la culture tchadienne, les instruments traditionnels tels que le balafon et la kora étant couramment utilisés dans les spectacles.

Chad - Peoples of Sahel

Today in Chad nomadism is still a way of life for many pastoralist ethnic groups such as Arabs, Tubus, Wodaabe or Fulattas groups.
Irregular seasonal rains and recurrent droughts make mobility the only viable route for these Sahelians.
Men or even entire families, along with hundreds and hundreds of animals, carry out transhumance every year. In the dry season they move from the north of the country to the south and return in the rainy season to the more arid regions of northern Chad.

Today in Chad nomadism is still a way of life for many pastoralist ethnic groups such as Arabs, Tubus, Wodaabe or Fulani.
