Best Chapli Kabab of Jalil & Rambel | Peshawar & Taru Jabba | Extreme Pakistani Street Food

Jalil Kabab House and Rambil Kabab are the two main famous places in KPK to eat Chapli Kababs.

Chapli kebab is a minced kebab in Pakistani cuisine and Afghan cuisine originating in Peshawar and surrounding regions as far as eastern Afghanistan. It is usually made from ground beef or mutton with various spices in the shape of a patty. It is also known as the Peshawari kebab.

The ‘Jalil Kabab House’, set up in 1950 in Peshawar’s Firdous Restaurant, is one of the few shops which has maintained its standards since its inception. Even today, about 1,000 people including tourists, politicians, students and celebrities dine there every day, and around the same number of people order home delivery on a daily basis at its main branch.

Rambil Kebab House is located in Tharo Jabba town in the district of Nowshera, about 13km away from Peshawar city. The dilapidated marquee puts a shade over 25 plus charpoys, while the family hall accommodates 18 more.

Famous Chapli Kababs of Qalandarabad | Extreme Pakistani Street Food | Abbotabad, Pakistan

The delicious chapal kebabs of Qalandarabad in Baldheri Union Council of Abbottabad are gaining more and more popularity among visitors.

The kebabs are sold at a small market, popularly known as Al-Marjan market, consisting of nearly 20 restaurants. As soon as you enter the market, you are captured by the tantalising aroma of kebabs being fried, which automatically attract you to one of the restaurants.

The kebabs are not only a local favourite, but a much enjoyed local treat among visitors from across the country, including foreigners, who enjoy them while travelling north to the Karakoram Mountains.

According to the restaurant owners, the summer season is the time when these kebabs sell like hot cakes, as it is the peak tourist season.

Although most of the restaurants are not well-established, the shortage of proper facilities does not seem to affect visitors, as the taste of the dish makes a convincing argument.

Pakistan's #1 CHAPLI KEBAB - Ultimate Pakistani Street Food in Peshawar! QASIM & JALIL CHAPLI KABAB

Pakistani STREET FOOD Roadtrip from Islamabad to Peshawar!!

???????? We travelled to Pakistan with MANAKY. Manaky is a curated marketplace for travelling in Pakistan, and we highly recommend their services and hospitality for you. Check them out:

Today’s video starts in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital city. We visit the iconic Pakistan Monument, which represents unity and is shaped like blossoming flower petals. There are depictions of Pakistan’s history intricately carved on each petal. Here, you can get an incredible view over Islamabad.

For breakfast, we went to Quetta Tea N Teas, which is famous for their large variety of Pakistani teas and parathas. We ordered two kinds of paratha, chicken & cheese (savoury), and chocolate hazelnut paratha (super sweet). We ordered their Golden Malai Tea, which is a chai with milk that is topped with a thick cream. The shop is set up as a quaint street food stall and it was great enjoying the views of the park across the street.

Before leaving Islamabad, we had one more important sight to visit - The Faisal Mosque. The Faisal Masjid is an incredibly large mosque; it was the largest mosque in the entire world for a long time. You can marvel at the gorgeous Islamic architecture, take a peaceful stroll through its courtyard and also enjoy the beautiful mountainscape surrounding the mosque.

Then, we left the capital and drove toward Peshawar. Driving across Pakistan is a unique experience for travellers, because Pakistan offers many different landscapes, cultures and foods as you drive to a new city or village. On our way to Peshawar, we stopped in Mardan for a very special street food.

At Qasim Chapli Kabab, you get to experience Pakistani street food like you’ve never seen before. On the road, there is a MASSIVE fire that will burn your facial hair off if you step too close. Above the fire there is a massive pot of bubbling hot oil. The vendors are making fresh chapli kebabs, which is finely minced and spiced beef, shaped into a patty and is fried in hot oil. The result is a plate of mouthwatering, juicy and tender kababs, loaded with spices. They were much bigger and more delicious than we expected!

We continued deeper into KP province and made it to the ancient city of Peshawar at night. Our first stop was to the Kabuli Gate (one of the gates to the Walled City of Peshawar) and Qissa Khwani Bazaar, a historical bazaar with amazing shopping for local clothing. Luke bought a traditional Peshawari hat called a pakol, and Sabrina bought a handmade shawl made of wool. The shop owners were kind enough to have us for Green Tea (kahwa). Kahwa is sweet and is the staple drink of Peshawar.

Our last stop of the day was to try another variation of chapli kabab. This one was slightly different in flavour and was served with giant naan! All kinds of different ingredients go into the chapli kababs, including tomatoes, spicy chilies and tons of spices. Then they are mashed together with the beef until it makes almost a paste! Then the patty goes straight into the oil. The way the chefs prepare the chapli kabab from scratch is a great way to make you very hungry!

If you would like to travel to Pakistan to experience amazing food, hospitality and more, we recommend planning your travels with Manaky!

We would like to thank Manaky for making this food trip to Pakistan possible!

Street Food in Waziristan, North Waziristan, Pakistan! Just a few years ago, this region and city of Miranshah Pakistan was overrun with terrorism and violence. Now, today, the area is safe and my friend Ali brought myself and Eva Zu Beck ( ) for a full adventure to the northern region of Waziristan, right near the Afghanistan border!

►The BEST VPNs For China:

We had a very quick trip to Waziristan, but from what we saw, it was incredibly beautiful and the people were so hospitable!

The drive up from Islamabad was a long journey and we stopped at quite a few stops along the way to try the street food of Waziristan. Our main destination was Miranshah, a city that was fully overrun with Taliban just a few years ago. On the way there, we stopped for some incredible Pakistani street food.

First, we found some of the BEST BBQ Kababs, super fatty and rich and seasoned so well!! They were right on the side of the street and we ate around 20!

Next, we stopped on the side of the road to try some Waziristan style Pakoras, made with onion and potato, that actually tasted like Chicken!

After this, we went for a huge home cooked Waziristan style home cooked meal that Ali helped arrange. It was very delicious! There were so many plates to choose from, and giant breads and naan's!

And once we finally reached into Miranshah, we found a little Chapli kabab joint that made super plump Chapli kabab beef patties loaded up with coriander seed and chili seed and spices! You can eat it with naan bread and it sops up all the oil and it's so satisfying!

After this, we had to turn around, but in our short trip to Miranshah, we fell in love with the hospitality and the people we all met were very friendly and wouldn't let us pay for a single meal!

Peshawar Street Food - A1 CHARSI TIKKA (Stoner Kebab) BEST PULAO + Street Food in Pakistan!!

WE’RE IN PESHAWAR PAKISTAN! This ancient city is a STREET FOOD paradise, and is known for it’s incredibly friendly people and amazing hospitality! We have returned to the Qissa Khwani Bazaar to EAT Pakistani food!

Just next to the Kabuli Gate, we instantly found our breakfast. This street food stall was serving Peshawari Pulao, which is a dish that originates from Afghanistan. There is rice, beef, chick peas, raisins and a rich broth which are steamed and mixed together to form a delicious blend of pulao. The vendors also added a generous amount of beef bone marrow to our plate. WOW!

Next, we wanted to wash down the amazing pulao with Kahwa Tea, the staple drink of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province. It is a sweet green tea made in these iconic teapots. Cardamom is crushed and added to the teapot and the result is a fragrant and light cup of Kahwa. We also ordered milk tea to try and it was equally sweet and light. We loved the Kahwa so much that we decided to shop around the Qissa Khwani Bazaar to find our own tea leaves and teapot to bring back home with us.

For lunch, we visited the world-famous Nisar Charsi Tikka restaurant, to try the highly recommended Charsi Tikka and Dumba Karahi. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but we were excited. You enter through their butcher section. We were impressed by how clean it was and how carefully the meat is handled and carved. We soon met the owner, Nisar, who explained to us the meaning of the word “Charsi”. Charsi roughly translates to stoner. There was definitely something potent in the air, and many patrons were getting the munchies!

Nisar also proclaimed that his dishes are always A-ONE and the very best in the world. “PAKISTAN ZINDABAD” echoed proudly through his kitchen while we watched the preparation of Peshawari Karahi and Tikka. The karahi is cooked with tender lamb and fatty tail bone, lamb lard, tomatoes, and chili pepper. We also ordered lamb chops they were cooked over smokey coals to perfection. The chefs were proud to only use salt as their seasoning, to focus on and emphasize the natural flavours of the meat. While waiting for our meal to arrive, we were invited to a nearby house to share jaggery and tea with some “babas”. They were very kind and gifted us with a green gemstone. The food was absolutely delicious, the experience was very fun and we loved chatting with Nisar Khan!

Since we were SUPER stuffed from lamb chops and karahi, we decided to do a little more shopping in Peshawar. Just down the street in the Namak Mandi Market, we stopped by Cha Cha Noor Din Kaptaan Chappal to shop for Peshwari chappals. Chappals are traditional sandals from Peshawar, and are handmade from leather. They are known to be very comfortable and stylish. You can have them custom made, or browse the shop’s infinite styles and colours.

If you would like to travel to Pakistan to experience amazing food, hospitality and more, we recommend planning your travels with Manaky!

We would like to thank Manaky for making this food trip to Pakistan possible!

Eating Literally on the Street in Pakistan

I was amazed to find that in Peshawar people literally eat ON the street. So I joined in with the locals in Peshawar to try real Pakistani street feed. Afterwards, I take you for a tour of a traditional Chaiwala (tea maker) - it's quite different to India.

This small food street is located at Khyber Bazaar next to HBL Khyber Bazar There they serve Chole, Rajma, Paye, Kheleji, and Naan. A full meal with bread costs just Rs. 100 (62 cents)!

A few lanes down you'll find the Chaiwala I visited and can have a Kahwa (Peshawari green tea) or Chai - I don't know the price because a kind local paid for my chai.

As you can see from the area, it was quite clean, as was the food. I had no stomach issues after eating there. I absolutely loved the street food in Pakistan and when you visit, you should try it too - if your stomach can handle it.

Namak Mandi Peshawar | Nisar Charsi Tikka And Karhai | Pakistani Street Food

The sweet aroma of mutton smoke drifts through a maze of crumbling alleyways, a barbecue tang that for decades has lured meat-eaters from across Pakistan to the frontier city of Peshawar.
The famed Nisar Charsi Tikka — named after its owner´s renowned habit — in Namak Mandi chalks up its decades of success to using very little in the way of spices.

For its barbecue offerings, tikkas — cuts of meat — are generously salted and sandwiched on skewers between cubes of fat for tenderness and taste, and slow-cooked over a wood fire.

Its other famed dish, karahi — or curry stew — is made with slices of mutton pan-cooked in heaped chunks of white fat carved from the sheep´s rump, along with sparing amounts of green chilli and tomatoes.

Both plates are served with stacks of oven-fresh naan and bowls of fresh yogurt.

It is the best food in the entire world, gushes co-owner Nasir Khan, adding that the restaurant sources some of the best meat in the country and serves customers from across Pakistan daily along with local regulars.

By Khan´s calculations, the restaurant goes through hundreds of kilograms of meat a day — or about two dozen sheep — with hundreds if not thousands served.

INSANE Pakistani Food VILLAGE WEDDING! - 4000 PEOPLE ULTRA RARE + BREAKFAST Street Food in Pakistan

My new blog:
Check out for 3 months free w/ 1 year pack and 49% OFF!
INSANE Pakistani Food Village Food Wedding!!! Today, we're going for an ULTRA RARE Pakistani Village Food WEDDING FEAST!! Our good friend Ali is inviting us DEEP into the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan, to a village WEDDING and a HUGE Pakistani Street Food BREAKFAST!!

►The BEST VPNs For China:

Pakistan is an AMAZING country full of delicious Pakistani Street Food and also Pakistani Village Food!! Today, we're driving out to a very special 4000 person Pakistani village wedding.

First, Ali and I are driving out to a local Village outside of Islamabad for a Pakistani street food Breakfast. Here, we found some street side Paratha, Chicken curry, lassi, and a super sweet curd. After tasting this meal, I'm convinced that Street food in Pakistan is some of the BEST in the world!

After that amazing street food breakfast, we're driving even deeper into the countryside for more village food. After some amazing scenery, we arrived at the famous Malik Sahab's home, which was a huge mansion and was a sight to see itself. Malik Sahab invited us out to a huge wedding in a village with 4000 people!

As soon as we arrived at the wedding, we were in awe of the huge size!! There must have been 500 or 1000 tables and a massive tent full of horses dancing and people celebrating. It was a sight to see!

The best part about the Pakistani wedding was the food, all of which was cooked in the back, desi style. It was like upgraded Pakistani street food! All of the dishes cooked for the wedding are common on the streets of Pakistan, but here, upgraded with more flavour and better quality and also much bigger!

The famous street foods of Pakistan were all here, like Chicken biryani with tons of masala and local spices, beef korma with thousands of green chilies and spices, mutton korma with EXTREMELY tender mutton that was worth attending the wedding for, and a super famous Pakistani street food, the halvua semolina pudding, except here, it was UPGRADED with extra nuts like cashews, almonds, and more!! It was fantastic!

And as soon as we made our way into the wedding tend, we witnessed a very special tradition in Pakistani culture, the horse dancing. There must have been 4 or 5 horses all dancing at the same time, bowing to people, and livening the atmosphere.

After this, the huge decks of Pakistani Biryani and beef korma and mutton korma were brought to the back of the tent, where we watched all the action happening, like the scooping of the spicy Pakistani curries into individual portions and served to the thousands of people ready to taste the delicious Pakistani village food wedding feast!!!

There is much more street food in our Pakistani food videos series, get ready for the playlist of a lifetime!!

The Qissa Khwani Bazaar ( Urdu: قصہ خوانی بازار‎; Story-tellers' Bazaar) is a bazaar in Peshawar, the capital of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

Indian film actor Dilip Kumar was born in Qissa Khwani Bazaar on or about 11 December 1922 and he belongs to Awan family. Actor Shah Rukh Khan's family still lives in the area.

On 23 April 1930, nearly 400 unarmed protesters were shot dead by soldiers of the British colonial government in the Qissa Khwani Bazaar massacre. The massacre triggered protests across British India and catapulted the newly formed Khudai Khidmatgar movement into prominence.

In this village cooking video, Granny is cooking up a ton of local specialties, and we are going for a village tour to see how the locals live! We ride a buffalo, visit the cow dung drying area, and taste some of the local well water!

When we arrived in Saim's family village, one of the things that really struck me is how happy everyone is. The local way of life is very relaxing and calming! We were invited to his home and watched Saim's granny cooking up all of her village secrets! The Pakistani village recipes were amazing to taste! This was the trip of a lifetime!

We watched Saim's granny preparing paratha and also some corn flour paratha, SUPER TASTY chicken curry prepared by granny, and also some amazing desserts too! Watching it all was breathtaking!

Pakistani KABLI PULAO & DUMPO!! Pakistani Street Food in Karkhano Market | Peshawar, Pakistan

???????? MANAKY:
???? MANAKY:

As my time in northern Pakistan continued, I set out to explore more of the city of Peshawar. Come with me as I try Pakistani Kabli pulao and dumpo on an amazing Pakistani street food tour of Karkhano Market in Peshawar, Pakistan!

Karkhano Market is a massive bazaar containing over 4,500 shops and vendors selling everything from electronics to fresh produce to clothing. It was established back in 1985. In the Pashto language, its name translates to “industries.” It also has a very colorful history, as smuggled goods from Afghanistan used to be funneled through the market.

???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH:

Parts of the market were absolutely electric, while the more mall-like parts were much quieter. There, I saw shops selling toys, home goods, and supplies for babies.

My guide Rashid from Manaky and headed up to the second level, where there are no railings! We headed inside a cologne and perfume shop, where the friendly vendors inside served us some creamy and delicious doodh patti chai.

The chai was very milky. I’m not a huge milk guy, but it was super tasty! They also wanted to give me more food, but I had already eaten way too much earlier in the day .

Back outside, we passed street food vendors selling French fries, chicken stew, peanuts, and kheer.

One of the vendors let me try the kheer, which was super tasty and very sweet! It’s basically a creamy rice pudding with brown sugar and nuts!

The market really is a one-stop shop for everything you could ever need. If I ever needed to replace my batteries or buy a wallet, I could get them there. There was also a vendor selling perfume and others making handmade ice cream, lassi, and more!

Everywhere, people wanted to take pictures with me as we passed through. Eventually, we stopped at BaBa Wali Hotel, where we’d get some pulao! They were cooking some yummy-smelling kebabs inside.

Inside the kitchen was a massive vat of kabli pulao. They place the rice on your plate first and then top it with carrots and a mountain of meat. They have different-sized serving dishes for different-sized parties.

Then, Rashid and I went to eat traditional-style on a mat along the wall. The beef in the pulao was so tender, it practically evaporates in your mouth. I loved how moist the rice was. The carrots and raisins added a nice, sweet flavor.

It was definitely my favorite pulao of the trip. I couldn’t get enough of it. The amount they served us was huge, but it was so good, I knew we would finish it.

Best of all, they also gave me some bone marrow. Then, I added extra carrots and raisins.

The pulao was so good, my mouth wouldn’t stop watering. It’s no wonder this is known as the best pulao in all of Peshawar!

We finished up with some green tea with a tiny amount of milk in it. It was the perfect, healthy digestive to have after a meal!

After eating, we headed back out and found some beautiful Afghan blankets and other bedding. More vendors invited me into their shops and offered me tea. They were all so nice!

Then, we drove a few minutes toward the city center to Dumpo Khorak. There, we saw vendors selling seekh kebabs, chicken kebabs, quail, and karahi. They also sold dumpo, which is a type of pulao. This one contained carrots, raisins, and chicken. You can also add quail and fish!

Here, you take off your shoes and can lie down. The dumpo was moist and very tasty, especially with the raisins and carrots. The chicken drumstick and thigh were crispy and juicy. This chicken was grilled, and wasn’t cooked with the rice.

I loved it. The kabli pulao was better in my opinion, but it was still very good! What a great way to end my tour of Karkhano Market!

Pashtun cuisine (Pashto: پښتنۍ خواړه‎) refers to the cuisine of the Pashtuns. The cuisine of the Pashtun people is covered under Afghan cuisine and Pakistani cuisine, and is largely based on plethora of meat dishes that includes lamb, beef, chicken, and fresh fish as well as rice and some other vegetables. Accompanying these staples are also dairy products (yogurt, whey, cheeses), including various nuts, locally grown vegetables, as well as fresh and dried fruits. Cities such as Kandahar, Jalalabad, Kabul, Quetta, Parachinar and Peshawar are known for being the centers of Pashtun cuisine.
