Prague Food Tour ????????!! ULTIMATE CZECH FOOD + Street Food in Czech Republic!

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - I was excited to visit Prague, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for many years. In this video, we’re going on an ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, and doing a full walking tour of the attractions and center of the city along the way. #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood

Café Savoy - For one of the most historical and beautiful restaurants and cafes in all of Prague, head to Café Savoy. It’s one of those restaurants that’s as much a museum as it is a restaurant. It’s a good place to have breakfast, or to have coffee. I had the Czech style breakfast set. Total price - 685 CZK ($29.62)

Párek v rohlíku – Ladislav Červený - If there’s one Czech street food your don’t want to miss, it’s sausages and hotdogs. And after doing some research, I discovered that not too far from where I was staying, was a popular local hotdog stall just outside the metro station. What was amazing to me is that the bun was toasted on the inside, but the outside of the bun was so soft. Great hotdogs, well worth going out of your way to eat when you’re in Prague. Price - 25 CZK ($1.08) per hotdog

Restaurace U Bansethů - My favorite type of food to eat is classic, traditional food, anywhere I travel. Restaurace U Bansethů is a restaurant with over 100 years of history, and I was very excited to go there. Menu was all in Czech, but our waiter was friendly and helpful. Something you have to note about Czech food restaurants (at least in my experience so far) is that they often have dishes of the day, and don’t have the full menu. So it’s best to choose the dishes of the day. I ordered their signature stuffed duck, a plate of tongue and dumplings, and we also tried a beef stew, which was similar to goulash, but had a different name. Food was delicious, and especially paired with Czech beer. 477 CZK ($20.62) - Total price for everything

Lahůdky Zlatý kříž - Next up on this ultimate Prague food tour, we headed back to the center of Prague and I ordered a few Czech open faced sandwiches from Lahůdky Zlatý kříž. Great local place to get food on the go. 77 CZK ($3.33)

Zahradní restaurace Letenský zámeček - Next, we headed on a little walk across the river and up the hill to a beer garden and terrance overlooking old town of Prague. I would highly recommend visiting, the ambiance was fantastic, and the views were spectacular.

Lokál - Beer Restaurant - Finally, when I reached out to you on social media about where to eat in Prague, one of the top suggestions was Lokál, a place loved by all for their great Czech beer, and for their food. We had a great experience, and it’s the type of place that would be fun to go with many friends. 726 CZK ($31.39)

Thank you for watching this ultimate Czech food tour of Prague, Czech Republic!

Food in Czech Republic - MUST-EAT Dish in Prague!

????Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
????T-shirts and caps:
????Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now:

In this Czech food tour of Prague, we mostly focus on the meat eating culture - and you’ll find some seriously good meat and beer when you’re in Czech Republic! #Prague #CzechRepublic #CzechFood

Thanks to Peter ( for taking me around, we had an amazing time eating!

Naše Maso - When I asked you all on social media where to eat in Prague, one of the top recommendations was Naše Maso, a butcher shop, with a restaurant. From what I read, the owner was tired of the lack of quality meat products in Czech Republic, and decided to do something about it - by sourcing good quality fresh meats, and preparing the best quality meat products. So while many people buy their meat directly from the butcher - everything from steaks to hotdogs - there is a small restaurant within the butchery. We ordered the steak tartare (some of the best I’ve ever had), Czech meatloaf, and there’s no way you want to leave without trying their hotdogs.

VNITROBLOCK - On our way to the next restaurant, we stopped for some coffee at a very artistic industrial style coffee shop called VNITROBLOCK.

Na Pekárně - And finally to end the day for our final meal, we drove about 30 minutes outside of the city to a Czech food restaurant that has as much character as it is delicious. Chef specializes in game meats, and he enjoys serving customers shot and beers, as you’ll find out. Along with all the other dishes, the one Czech food you don’t want to miss is Svíčková - Must-eat in Czech Republic! Thanks to Taste of Prague ( for this recommendation! Total price - 955 CZK ($41.09)

It was another great, laid back, day in Prague, and full of character!

Street Food of Prague, Czech Republic. The Trdelník Sweet Pastry from Slovakia

Trdelník is a traditional Slovak cake and sweet pastry, originally coming from Hungarian-speaking part of Transylvania, Romania. It also is known within the culinary heritages of other European countries like Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria. It is made from rolled dough that is wrapped around a stick, then grilled and topped with sugar and walnut mix. Nowadays, trdelník is very popular among tourists as a sweet pastry in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Skalický trdelník was registered in December 2007 as PGI (protected geographical indication) in the European Union. The registration application with the detailed description of the product was published in April 2007 in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The production of trdelník has a long tradition in the Slovak town of Skalica near the borders with Czech Republic. The original recipe was brought to Skalica at the end of the 18th century by a transylvanian cook of József Gvadányi, a Hungarian general in retirement. The original recipe was afterwards improved by the inhabitants of Skalica to its final form nowadays known as Skalický trdelník.

The civil association Skalický trdelník was founded at the end of 2004 with the goal of keeping the tradition of the original open fire Trdelník production. The name trdelník comes from trdlo, the wooden stake the cake is wrapped around for cooking which gives it its traditional hollow shape.

Street Food of Prague, Czech Republic. The Lángos, a Hungarian food speciality

Lángos is a Hungarian food speciality, a deep fried flat bread made of a dough with flour, yeast, saltand water. It is also traditionally made in Vojvodina, Serbia, where it was introduced by the local Hungarians.

Lángos is a dough made of water or milk and flour, with a dash of sugar and salt and fried in oil. Adding sour cream, yoghurt or mashed potatoes to the dough is optional, in the latter case it is called potato lángos (in Hungarian krumplis lángos). It is eaten fresh and warm, topped with sour cream and grated cheese, or Liptauer, ham, or sausages, or most frequently, without toppings, just rubbed with garlic or garlic butter, or doused with garlic water. Other ingredients and accompaniments can be mushroom, quark cheese, eggplant, cabbage, kefir, omelet, and a confectioner's sugar or jam. It is popular all year long. As it is a rather affordable and simple food, it is often sold around bus stations (where commuters can purchase it), fairs, and all over Eastern European countries on local celebrations or sport events.

Traditionally lángos was baked in the front of the brick oven close to the flames. This is the basis for its name; láng means flame in the Hungarian language. Lángos was made from bread dough and was served as breakfast on the days when new bread was baked. Now that people no longer have brick ovens and do not bake bread at home, lángos is virtually always fried in oil.

Lángos is sold at many fast-food restaurants not only in Hungary but also in Austria. In Austria, especially in Vienna, lángos is very popular as a fast food at fairs and in amusement parks like the Prater. Lángos is known in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia as langoš, in Serbia as languš (although it is commonly called Mekike). It is also popular in Romania as langoși.
