ULTIMATE Street Food in Phuket - BEST EGG ROTI + Fried Noodles! | Thailand Michelin Guide Tour!

????️ Thai Street Food in Phuket, Thailand - Michelin Guide Tour!
???? You'll Love This Video Next -

PHUKET, THAILAND - Welcome to Phuket, an island in southern Thailand and a superb place to visit if you love food! Today I’m going to take you on a Thai street food Michelin guide tour of Phuket. We’ll be eating at four different street food stalls which were all featured in the Thailand Michelin Guide of Phuket. I hope you’re hungry, let’s start eating! #Phuket #StreetFood #MichelinGuide

Roti Taew Nam (โรตีแถวน้ำ) - First up on this Thai street food tour in Phuket, you’ll need to start your morning off right - and that means some of the greatest egg roti ever. Roti Taew Nam (โรตีแถวน้ำ) is a legendary spot, serving some of the crispiest roti you’ll ever have, along with a variety of Southern Thai curries. It’s incredibly delicious. Total price - 320 THB ($10.64) for everything

Chuan Chim (ชวนชิม) - Next up for an early lunch we’re going to eat at Chuan Chim (ชวนชิม), a restaurant that serves stir fried dishes made to order. It’s a type of restaurant where you can order and Thai or Thai Chinese dish, and it will be delicious. One of their signature dishes is their pad kaprao - your choice of meat with holy basil. What blew me away is how “wok” smoky every dish is. Total price - 360 THB ($11.97) for everything

Go La Hokkien Fried Noodle โกลา หมี่ฮกเกี้ยน (เจ้าเก่า) - A Thai Chinese noodle dish classic that you’ll find in Southern Thailand as well as Malaysia and Singapore is Hokkien mee. Go La Hokkien Fried Noodle โกลา หมี่ฮกเกี้ยน (เจ้าเก่า) is a legendary spot and has perfected their recipes - the reason why they are rightfully included in the Thai street food Michelin Guide. Price - 60 THB ($1.99) per bowl

O Tao Bang Niao (โอวต้าว บางเหนียว) - Finally to finish this Thai street food tour in Phuket, we’re going to O Tao Bang Niao (โอวต้าว บางเหนียว) to eat a dish called o tao, a Phuket speciality of seafood, batter, cubes of taro, garlic, chili, and plenty of lard to make things crispy. It’s kind of like a Phuket special version of an oyster omelet. It’s honestly not my favorite thing to eat in Phuket, but it’s something you should try because it’s only available in Phuket. Price - 70 THB ($2.33) for the seafood version

And that wraps up this Thai street food Michelin guide tour of Phuket. Enjoy the delicious food!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Thailand Street Food - PHUKET in 2022! Amazing Massaman Curry + JUMBO PRAWNS & Thai Seafood!

This is the start of THAILAND 2022 Street Food series! Kicking things off in beautiful Phuket, Thailand. This is the largest island in the country surrounded by the crystal clear Andaman sea. A tourist hotspot but home to traditional, unique and delicious Thai Food. Especially in Phuket Town you can taste Phuketian street foods with rich history and influence!

In this episode I started the day at Roti Chaofa a Phuket institution and house of delicious curry and roti! I tried their famous massaman with chicken and also their classic curried drumstick. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with their milk covered banana roti.

After breakfast I hit Thanon Thalang, a historic street lined with Sino-Chinese pastel-coloured row houses. This is the spot to get your postcard pictures of Phuket Town! Right around the corner from touristy Thanon Thalang you can find A Pong Mae Sunee. Here you can taste the Phuketian desert known as A Pong, a thin coconut batter pastry. These things are seriously addictive. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Make sure to try some while they're hot but buy as many as you'd like to take home at only 3 baht a piece.

You're going to want to cool off after walking around under Phuket's hot sun. I choose to stop at Kopitiam by Walai. This place has all the charm and old-world feel you'd expect in this historic city. I tried the blue pea flower and lime soda, a super refreshing and picturesque drink. Kopitiam also sells another Phuketian desert known as O Ei. This is a jelly made of a special type of fig served on shaved ice with fruit. Super refreshing and sweet.

Moving right along I hit up Kota Khao Mun Kai for some Hainanese chicken rice! When the owner makes you her favourite sauce combination you happily oblige and apply generously to meat and rice. She also had me try her famous crispy pork and thin cut red pork! This is a great lunch stop in Phuket Town.

A jump on my motorbike and rode down palm lined streets to Rawai in the southern part of Phuket island. The water here is turquoise blue with green hues. Perfect for swimming and jumping off the Rawai pier.

Logically my next step was to taste some fresh Andaman seafood and luckily for me the Rawai fish market offers every type of mollusc, crustacean and fish you can name. I tried the JUMBO prawns with a side of squid. Mook Manee a Michelin recommended restaurant cooks your seafood to your liking. Mine was simple; BBQ prawns and spicy squid salad. So good, so fresh!

To end my day I watched the sun drop behind Promthep cape in southern Phuket to wrap up my first amazing day of eating here in Thailand!

Phuket has some of the most diverse, easily accessible local food in the whole of Thailand in my humble opinion. 100 Year Old Noodles

Mee Kon Lan (หมี่โกล้าน) has been serving up the same handmade egg noodles to their faithful Phuket customers for over 100 years in Phuket Town. We tried a few different types of Thai noodles, which were all delicious but the star of the show here are definitely the handmade bamee (egg) noodles.

FLAKY ROTI AND CURRY IN PHUKET THAILAND ???????? ???????? - Family Run Thai Muslim Street Food

Krua Hasandee (ครัวฮาซันดี้) is a local, family run Thai Muslim restaurant serving an array of Thai classics, most notably, their crispy, flaky roti with perfectly spices, rich beef and chicken curries.

Hasandee is a family affair, with wife and mother Fatima slinging the roti while her husband P'Somchai deals with the curries. They even have their teenage sons helping out with service.

ครัวฮาซันดี้ is a simple family style eatery serving up some of the best curry and roti in Phuket. I personally found the curries much more flavourful than at the famous Roti Taew Nam in Phuket Town.

Directions and opening times to Krua Hasandee:
