Street Food Jungle!! AMAZING THAI FOOD + Grilled Chicken in Tropical Paradise!

???? Best Seafood in Thailand:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand - Welcome to Phatthalung (พัทลุง) one of the best and most relaxing and green tropical provinces in Thailand. The culture is so laid back and the food is spicy and some of my favorites in Thailand too.

Today we’re going on a jungle street food tour of Tainod Green Market (หลาดใต้โหนด which is this amazing local market where you’ll find everything from cooked southern Thai food to market fresh ingredients to southern Thai culture. You don’t want to miss the amazing food selection. Here’s what I ate:

Chicken - 15 Baht ($0.48) per piece - This was honestly some of the best grilled chicken I’ve had in a long time. It was so perfectly flavorful and rich, and smoky.

Rice and curry - 50 THB ($1.59) - Can’t ever beat a plate of rice and curry when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), just the best, it’s a meal I never get tired of.

Rice noodles - 15 THB ($0.48) - Next up for a plate of freshly made khanom jeen rice noodles. The southern Thai curries are pungent and spicy.

Arenga pinnata palm fruit (ลูกชก) - Another snack you’ll find is the jelly fruit from a palm tree called the Arenga pinnata. Unique and very good.

Fried cempedak - 20 THB ($0.64) - Next up for one of the greatest deep fried fruits in the world. It’s not a jackfruit, but a cempedak, which is common in southern Thailand and Malaysia. It’s so good, and almost has a natural honey juiciness to it. When you open a cempedak, if you do it correctly - I haven’t done it correctly many times, it opens so the skin peels and all the fruit remains on the core. Deep fried is heaven.

Snakefruit - 20 THB ($0.64) - Finally to complete this Thai jungle street food tour at Tainod Green Market (หลาดใต้โหนด) I had a bowl of peeled snake fruit. I loved the natural packaging.

It’s an amazing market, one of my favorite markets in all of Thailand. The atmosphere, the greenness, and the delicious Thai food is what makes it spectacular.

Backyard Food Paradise!! Farm to Table THAI FOOD in the Rainforest!! | Khao Sok, Thailand

???? Ultimate Fried Chicken Tour in Hat Yai:
???? Rungfah Farm:

Welcome to the stunning Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani, Thailand! I had the chance to hang out with P’You from Rungfah Farm: His property backs up to the mountains and the lush green rainforest, it’s pristine. And the best thing about P’You is his love and respect for nature, and his organic farm.

To begin with we first went around his farm, some of which is grown, some of which grows wild, and harvested ingredients for lunch. From fruits to vegetables and herbs, Rungfah Farm is full of tropical things to eat - for me it’s a fresh food paradise - and around his farm you can find almost all the ingredients you need for a Thai food feast. On top of that, P’You has amazing knowledge of ingredients, and their uses for cooking and medicinal value. He’s so laid back and so friendly, and he’s part of the reason why visiting Rungfah Farmstay is so much fun.

After walking round the farm for a while, we got started cooking, and the cooked some common Thai dishes, as well as a few jungle survival style dishes - like rice cooked in bamboo over open fires.

Here are the other dishes that P’You and his wife made for us:

Chicken curry
Snake fruit chili dip
Banana blossom tempura
Fried bamboo shoots
Fried melinjo leaves

It was a delicious Thai meal, and for me the best thing about it was that it was cooked with love using natural, local, and ultimately freshly picked ingredients from Rungfah Organic Farm right in the jungle of Khao Sok, Thailand!

Great experience, highly recommended. Thank you to P’You from Rungfah Farm: for hosting me on this day of backyard cooking.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND - Today we’re going to Sanpakai Hideaway, an organic food farm in Chiang Mai owned by an amazing family who are almost completely self-sufficient. From the vegetables to the fruits to the teas to the meats, everything we ate was from their land that they grow and raise.

This was meal was incredibly good, but what I really mean about “best food in the world,” is that no matter where you are in the world, if you’re able to grow your own food, everything fresh, nothing processed - this is the formula for the best food in the world - no matter what country you’re from.

First of all, we started with a tour of the garden and the farm. From rice paddy fields (which were dry at the moment during the winter season), to tamarind trees, bananas, and bael. We then took a look at the incredible fresh herb garden - a place to pick everyday greens, herbs, and tomatoes.

We made smoked catfish with sweet fish sauce, smoked chicken (which was incredibly tasty), an omelet made with chicken, duck, and turkey eggs, and finally a host of garden vegetables like rocket, mustard greens and coriander. Additionally, we picked some broken bones pods - also known as Indian trumpet tree. It’s been a favorite tree of mine for a while because it looks so cool and the pods are so unique. I’ve eaten it many times, but this was my first time harvesting them and seeing the entire process of how to cook and serve them. It was fascinating!

Again, when it comes to food, nothing can get better than local and fresh.

Best Seafood Thailand!! 40 kg. GIANT MONSTER + Spicy Green Pepper Crab!!

???? Mae Hong Son Street Food Tour:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง):

BANGKOK, THAILAND: Easily the best all around seafood restaurant I’ve been to in Bangkok is Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) a restaurant where owner and chef P’Note sources his own seafood and also often goes fishing himself in Southern Thailand and brings back the catch to serve at the restaurant. Tonight we’re eating a huge seafood meal, and along with the best ever Thai pepper crab, P’Note served us an omakase meal of all the parts of a 40 kg. Giant grouper fish! #Bangkok #Thailand #seafood

Also in the video, I was hanging out and eating with friends P’Tan ( and P’Tape (

???? If you’re in Bangkok, Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง): is located in Bang Na, and they are also doing delivery across Bangkok. Seafood is the best of the best and they might have fresh seafood specials of the day.

We started this Thai seafood meal with the fresh giant grouper. P’Note and staff are highly skilled at parting and slicing fish. They parted it out, and actually for our meal we enjoyed some of the lesser known parts of the giant grouper, but some of the best tasting - like the collar, cheeks, and face. The pepper crab was loaded with green pepper, garlic, and kaffir lime leaves. Another favorite dish here are the penshells, or sometimes razor clams if available cooked Hong Kong style with tons of garlic, green onions, and mung bean noodles - the best!

Usually we eat at Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) at least once a week because the food is so incredible good, and fresh, and consistent. Come to Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) for the best seafood meal in Bangkok!

Breakfast with Carion - We’re beginning in Les Coteaux, Tobago, a small town in the mountains that’s known for preserving its tradition and cultural heritage. Carion and her family are preparing an amazing local breakfast of coconut bake, saltfish, and cocoa tea. Seeing the process and being able to hang out and eat was extremely memorable. Uncle’s singing and drumming was also a highlight.

Chef Danielle - Next up on this Creole food tour in Tobago we met Chef Danielle, from Frontline Flavours who specializes in preserving authentic Creole cuisine of Tobago. She cooked a pot of curry fish, callaloo, and cornmeal. The food was outstanding, so fresh and so flavorful.

Tom Tom’s - Tobago is also very well known for their sweets, and learned about a few of the local sweets including beni balls and coconut fudge - one of the local favorites.

Day 4 (Trat ตราด): Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here:

Trat (ตราด) is a beautiful tropical province in Eastern Thailand, home to a wonderful culture and lots of delicious food. But one of the best places to eat Thai food is in someone's home, home cooked food is the best. So today we had the opportunity to visit a village in Trat, forage for a few ingredients, and cook some amazing, very local regional specialities.

Baan Huai Raeng (บ้านห้วยแร้ง) - This is a beautiful tropical village, and they also offer home-stays and cultural tourism. I contacted them to arrange a food experience, and I think they did a fantastic job.

Khao haw kab mak (ข้าวห่อกาบหมาก) - This is the first dish that Aunty made, a mix of fried rice and ingredients all within a banana leaf and another outer wrapper. It was a delicious mix, soothing in the morning.

Khanom jeen sao nam (ขนมจีนซาวน้ำ) - This wasn’t planned at all, but Uncle was planning for another group and decided to make a dish for all of us to eat - khanom jeen sao nam. This is a Royal Thai food dish, that’s not common to find, and it was delicious.

HEre are the two main regional Thai food dishes we cooked:

Sour curry with local vine called sandan (แกงส้มใบสันดาน) - I still can’t find the name in English of the local vine, and they made a sour curry with fish and shrimp. Awesome dish.

Gaeng kradom (แกงกระดอม) - The little fruit is called Gymnopetalum chinense in English and it’s bitter tasting. They made a curry with shrimp and curry paste. It was awesome, I loved the bitterness.

Interesting ingredients:
Chamuang (ชมวง) - gacinia cowa
Bai sandan (ใบสันดาน) - local vine
Kradom (กระดอม) - Gymnopetalum chinense

It was a fantastic day in Trat, exploring regional Thai food and unique dishes and ingredients in the village!

???? T-shirts:
???? Ghost Chili:

LAU ISLANDS, FIJI - We’re in the remote Lau Islands group in Fiji, only accessible by boat, and today we’re going to Vuaqava Island, where they are known for their coconut crabs!

First of all, thank you to my friend Andhy Blake for arranging my trip to Fiji: and to Captain Cook Cruises ( for taking us on this once in a lifetime Fiji cruise.

We docked near the uninhabited Vuaqava Island, Lau Islands, Fiji, which is known for its natural beauty, incredible seas, and also for being an island full of coconut crabs! Coconut crabs are definitely unique, and they are a huge delicacy in Fiji and for the local population on the Lau Islands. They all mentioned that they coconut crabs are so tasty and so delicious that they don’t need any extra seasoning or cooking - all you have to do is boil them for about 10 - 15 minutes and eat. The crabs eat mostly a diet of coconut, so they have a sweet coconut taste to them, and the fat in the stomach (similar to the tomalley on other crabs), is like a natural coconut crab pudding with a complexity of flavor. It was an amazing experience to be with local Fijians on a remote island eating coconut crab.

Next up on this Fijian crab tour we visited another island - Totoya Island, Lau Islands, Fiji where we had the honor to cook and eat another Fijian food delicacy of land crabs, cooked in coconut milk. The crabs were boiled then fully deshelled, then mixed with onions and chiles, and lots of coconut milk, and re-filled back into their shells. They were boiled again until the coconut milk thickened into a creamy crab sauce. You eat them with a fresh squeeze of local lime and chili, and it’s something truly magically delicious.

What a day of Fijian food and the freshest crabs from the source!

It was also great to hang out with my friend Dwight from Courageous Kitchen ( for this all out fruit excursion.

We started easy with some booster veggie shots like turmeric and gotu kola, followed by a wheatgrass shot. Then we went into smoothies, which there is a huge variety you can choose from. Next I tried a green smoothie bowl, and finally ended with a kefir, not made from dairy, but from grain.

Khun Kae’s Juice Bar is really a fantastic place to have a smoothie and a shot of nutrients. Highly recommended when you’re in Chiang Mai, Thailand!

Ultimate STREET FOOD NOODLE HEAVEN ????!! Local Market Tour + Best Food in Mae Hong Son!

???? 5 Aunty’s Cook Huge Curry:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

MAE HONG SON (แม่ฮ่องสอน), THAILAND - Welcome to the main city of Mae Hong Son, the capital also of Mae Hong Son province in Northwestern Thailand. It’s one of the most removite, mountainous, and beautiful provinces in Thailand. Today we’re going on an ultimate Thai / Shan / Burmese street food tour of Mae Hong Son! #MaeHongSon #streetfood #Thailand

Morning Market - We begin at the morning market in Mae Hong Son - and it was actually a cold morning so it felt good to use a jacket. We wandered around the market, and you’ll find that it’s unlike anywhere else in Thailand - many of the people are from hill tribes, and surrounding villages, and there’s a large Shan / Thai Yai influence and many Karen people. At the front of the market, you’ll find some street food stalls. I tried a bowl of Shan noodles in a tofu gravy with fried tofu on the side. I’ve have Shan tofu before and I love it. This was delicious, almost like a bowl of porridge, yet it was yellow pea tofu. Price - 25 THB ($0.84) per bowl. Next to that stall I tried a bowl of khao sen, thin rice noodles with a tomato pork broth and serves with crispy Shan deep fried veggies - which are extraordinary. Price - 20 THB ($0.67) per bowl. Two great bowls of noodles, you don’t want to miss on your street food tour in Mae Hong Son!

Pa Si Bua (ร้านป้าศรีบัว) Restaurant - Located right in the heart of Mae Hong Son is the legendary Pa Si Bua (ร้านป้าศรีบัว) Restaurant where they serve a variety of Shan style rice and curry. Whatever looks good you can order it and it will likely be good. You don’t want to miss their jeen lung, which are Shan meatballs, and could be some of the greatest meatballs in the world. We ordered everything they had for the day, and it was a delicious meal. You can really taste how Shan food is its own unique cuisine. Total price - 290 THB ($9.69)

Khao Sen Yai Jaang (ร้านข้าวเส้นยายจ่าง) - After doing some sightseeing and visiting some of the top attractions in Mae Hong Son, we then headed for an afternoon bowl of noodles at Khao Sen Yai Jaang (ร้านข้าวเส้นยายจ่าง). Served out of the front of the house, her khao sen is on another level. It just melts in your mouth and it doesn’t even look like it’s going to be that flavorful, but somehow it just blows you away with layers of amazing flavor. I loved it, and also loved their khao kan jeen, rice steamed with blood. Price - 25 THB ($0.84) per bowl

Mae Hong Son (แม่ฮ่องสอน) is really one of the most special and unique provinces and cities in Thailand. It’s so laid back, the people are friendly, and there’s so much interesting food to try.

???? ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

JUNGLE FOOD in BRUNEI ???????? Bamboo Chicken + AMAZING Bruneian Food in Temburong, Brunei!

Welcome to the deep jungles of Borneo! Today we’re in Ulu Temburong National Park, Brunei. This is some of the most lush and untouched rainforest I’ve ever seen. After our exhilarating climb to the peak of Temburong’s famous canopy walk we head back to camp at Sumbiling Eco Village. This is where we will prepare the traditional Iban Tribe dish of chicken cooked in bamboo. We also gather our own ingredients straight from the jungle. Wild, organic and delicious this is Brunei ????????

Thai street foods you MUST EAT - THAI STREET FOOD TOUR | Food and Travel Channel | Bangkok

Subscribe for more food and travel videos:
Thailand is synonymous with fantastic street food. In this video we take you on a Thai Street Food tour of some of the most common street foods you will find when you're in Thailand.

We incude:
- moo ping or pork skewers
-Thai coffee and Thai milk tea
-noodle soup
-fresh fruit
-khao man gai or chicken rice
-skewers
-khanom krok or coconut griddle cakes

Thai street food is very safe to eat. We have visited Thailand over 15 times and we eat on the street 95% of the time as the best food is found here and the atmosphere is great.

If you can't speak Thai don't worry, we find just pointing and a smile works very well. If you're unsure of the price just hand over a 100THB note or a 50THB and you'll get the correct change back. After eating Thai street food a bit you'll start to notice that prices are pretty much standard across items and you'll learn to gauge very quickly how much things should be.

We hope this Thai street food tour video has inspired you to eat and explore like a traveler, not a tourist.
