Street Food - DIM SUM SKYSCRAPER!! Market Eating Tour in Southeast Asia!

???? Huge 21 Curries For Lunch:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

Trang (ตรัง), Thailand - Welcome to Trang, a lovely historical and laid back city in Southern Thailand. In this video, we’re going on a Thai Chinese street food tour - starting at the market with the famous Trang roast pork, and feasting on the impressive dim sum skyscrapers that the city is well known for. Finally, we’ll complete this Thai Chinese street food tour with a legendary bowl of Hokkien mee - Hokkien Chinese style noodles which are popular throughout communities in Southern Thailand. #Trang #Thailand #dimsum #streetfood

Here are the places we visited:

Trang Roast Pork (หมูย่างโกเภา) - I was recommended that this place in the back of the local municipal Trang morning market was the best in town. And they have a huge loyal following. I arrived early in the morning, about 6 am, and already they were almost sold out for the day - we were lucky to get one of the last un-reserved hundred grams. Trang roasted pork (ตรังหมูย่าง) is sweet, but wow it’s pretty tasty, and their version was the best I’ve ever had of Trang style roasted pork. Price - 420 THB ($13.44) per kg.

Jay Kee (เจ๊กี่) - Also in the market you’ll find another legendary stall call Jay Kee (เจ๊กี่) that serves rice flour dumplings and chopped pig face, both smothered in pink soybean sauce. It wasn’t my favorite thing ever, but it was a very cool place and a couple of legendary dishes. Price - 20 THB ($0.64) per plate

Ruan Thai Dim Sum (เรือนไทยติ่มซำ - For the population size of Trang, there is an un-proportionate amount of dim sum restaurants - meaning people just really love to eat dim sum in Trang! There are so many places to choose from, but I chose Ruan Thai Dim Sum (เรือนไทยติ่มซำ) because they are known to have one of the biggest selections of dim sum. When you arrive, you’ll see a small downtown of skyscrapers dim sum, all waiting to be ordered. What you do is you choose the different dumplings and bites you want to eat, and they freshly steam them, before bringing all the baskets to your table. This was, everything you eat is fresh and hot. We met the owner, and he gave us a few extra dishes as well, including some more Trang roasted pork and super “radna” noodles. Awesome place to eat dim sum and enjoy the local Trang Thai Chinese culture in the morning.

Chew Dam (ร้านฉิวดำ) - Finally to wrap up this street food tour we headed to Chew Dam (ร้านฉิวดำ), a generations old shophouse restaurant for Hokkien Mee. The yellow noodles are cooked in a thick umami boosted gravy and served with a barely cooked egg. Awesome place and delicious Hokkien Mee. Hokkien Mee - 45 THB ($1.44)

And that completes this Asian street food tour in Trang. Trang is a fantastic city, with a great balance of history, nice people, buzzing markets, and delicious street food.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

???? 100% Durian Chips - Order Here:

Ranong (ระนอง) - Welcome to Ranong, a very pleasant city in Southern Thailand. A couple interesting things about Ranong, which is both a city and province in Thailand, is that it’s the least populated province in Thailand, and it’s located on the Kra Isthmus, the narrowest part of the Malay peninsula. It’s also a cool place to visit with some fantastic people and delicious Thai street food.

We started at the market for breakfast, walking around the friendly market and eating some street food snacks including a freshly made egg roti (โรตีไข่), sticky rice shrimp (ข้าวเหนียวหน้ากุ้), and grilled sticky rice (ข้าวเหนียวปิ้ง). Market was great.

Traditional Ice Cream (ร้านไอติม ประเสริฐสงค์) - This is one of the most classic Thai ice cream shops that specializes in hardened raw egg ice cream (ไอติมไข่แข็ง) - 40 THB

Take Off Your Shoes Restaurant (ร้านถอดรองเท้า) - Next up on this Ranong Thai food tour we went to a legendary restaurant literally called “Take Off Your Shoes.” Funny enough, you don’t need to take off your shoes to eat here… but it must have a history!
Shrimp stink beans กุ้งผัดกะปิสะตอ
Fern salad ยำผักกูด
Sour curry, taro stems แกงส้มออดิบ
Soft shell crab ปูนิ่มทอดกระเทียม
Total price - 850 THB ($26.25)

Som Chok Restaurant (ร้านสมโชค) - Finally, to end this meal, we drove a little outside of town to a countryside Thai restaurant known for curries and especially for stink beans. We had a little stink bean overdose, and it was wondrous!
Stink beans สะตอผักกะปิ
Chicken turmeric ไก่ต้มขมิ้น
Pork ribs curry แกงเคี่ยวพริกกระดูกหมู
Fried pork หมูทอดเกลือ
Total price - 800 THB (24.69 USD)

That completes this Thai street food tour of Ranong, Thailand. It’s a pleasant town, very friendly, easy to go around, charming, and you’ll find some delicious and unique street food.

Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand - Welcome to Phatthalung (พัทลุง) is southern Thailand and today we’re going in search of a rare Thai dish made with rattan shoots and fermented fish!

Trang Moo Yang (ตรังหมูย่าง) - But first, in order to get to Phatthalung, we needed to fly into Trang which is a bigger city with an airport. After landing we got in our car and then had to stop for breakfast. Trang is very well known for their local Thai Chinese style of dim sum and trang moo yang, roast pig.

บ้านต้นไม้ ร้อยหวันนอนฟังสายน้ำ - - We then drove to Phatthalung to meet up with my good friends P’Ju (พี่จู) and P’Nong (พี่นงค์). From there we went straight into the jungle to harvest the spiky rattan shoots in order to make the curry. After getting the rattan shoots we headed to their pristine jungle camp where they cooked Thailand’s hidden dish of southern Thailand; Fish Curry with Rattan Shoots (แกงน้ำเคยยอดหวาย). It’s a dish that you won’t find common anymore although P’Ju was mentioning that it’s an old dish that used to be prepared during festivals. It was outstanding!

Phatthalung (พัทลุง) town - After spending the night at P’Ju’s homestay we then drove into Phatthalung town and on to Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว ลำปำ) for some river prawns tom yum and freshwater seafood!

Thailand Street Food - PHUKET DIM SUM + Hokkien Noodles & O-Tao!! THAI FOOD Guide to Phuket!

Go to for a free trial, and when you’re ready to launch, go to to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain.

???????? This was my last day in Phuket so I wanted to try a few more locally popular dishes before leaving the island. I started my day at Boonrat Dim Sum ( a multi-generational shop specializing in the famous Cantonese breakfast favourite. It's the Thai influence which makes this Phuket dim sum nothing like in Canton. Point and choose what delightful morsel of steamed goodness you prefer, generously apply house sauce and enjoy!

Millennial Thai's love a good cafe. I popped into Dou Brew ( a cafe specializing in craft chocolate. They've got plenty of options for your sweet tooth including coffee and chocolate creations such as the craft dirty. A double shot on cold milk served in an almond chocolate rimmed glass. Totally recommend!

If you're a noodle lover than you can not leave Phuket without trying Mee Hokkien. Somchit Noodle House ( is serving a bowl of simplicity at its finest. Thick hokkien noodles served with generous toppings of pork, shrimp and wontons. Perfectly paired with a light broth to be seasoned at your table. This is a must-try!

After filling up I rode out to Wat Chaiwatthanaram ( a complex of buddhist temples famous in Phuket. It is stunningly ornate and quite peaceful despite the crowds. Try to go early or late to avoid the heat.

O-Tao is a Phuketian scrambled egg with taro and oysters. Unique to the island, this dish is loved by locals. I went to O-Tao Ji Pien ( where Chinese New Year orders had this 70 year shop working at top speed. I watched for over an hour as the chef methodically prepared o-tao for the masses. In the end I neither loved it nor hated it. It was really spicy.

Every Sunday in Phuket Town along Thanon Thalang you can find a pedestrian-only pop-up night market. The Sunday Walking Street Market ( has shops selling everything a tourist wants to take home for their friends and family, all sandwiched between street food carts and hawkers. Try the rolled ice cream made at ninja speed by one of the many desert stalls. It is surprisingly good quality ice cream!!

Street Food 21 CURRIES FOR LUNCH!! Unseen Food Tour in Southeast Asia!! ยะลา

???? Indian Malay Food in Pattani:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

YALA (ยะลา), THAILAND - Located in the very far south, the Deep South of Thailand, Yala is a beautiful province known for its Malay culture and food, forest, and fruit paradise. In this Malay street food tour in Yala we ate one of the best traditional curry meals I’ve ever had in my life, and then continued on to the city to eat famous beef soup. Finally, we drove outside the city for some curian and cempedak. Get ready for some insanely delicious curry and fresh fruit in Yala, Thailand!

Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด - Welcome to one of the best traditional curry restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long time. They serve traditional Malay and Thai curries and dishes from Yala. I was fascinated by the variety, and the ingredients present in each of the dishes. Literally every dish was outstanding, and many of them were new for me - even having traveled quite a lot in both Thailand and Malaysia. One of the many highlights was the quail and chili leaf curry. But really, you cannot make a bad choice at Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด), it’s a must eat if you love curry when you’re in Yala, Thailand.

Quail - We stopped on the side of the road for a quick delicious roasted quail, so tasty.

Organ Soup (ซุปเครื่องใน (มัสยิดกาโบ) - In the iconic market of Yala in the the center of the city, you’ll find this legendary generations old beef soup restaurant. The soup is simple and refreshing, mainly focusing on beef organs and stomach. Additionally, you have to eat the soup with an omelet. The combination is fantastic.

Bang Lang Bridge and Lake - Finally to finish this street food tour of Yala, we drove about an hour to the iconic Bang Lang Lake and bridge. On the way, we stopped for some Yala fruit, including durian and cempedak. Unfortunately all the small “durian baan” were finished for the season, but the mon thong variety was still pretty good. And the view over the lake was spectacular.

I had an amazing time exploring Yala, but too short, so much more to eat and still do in Yala. I hope to visit again.

Thank you to my friends Mohammad and Rus from Papa Tagu for taking us:

ONE of the BEST—most affordable —dim sum restaurants in Bangkok: TUANG DIM SUM

TUANG DIM SUM bangkok AVOID PEAK LUNCH TIME ( NOON-1PM)

A classic Dim sum!
This restaurant provides variation of dim sum for you. Most of them are really good. It's nothing like luxurious Chinese restaurant dim sum but definitely an everyday meal. All of their food are delicious and set the bar too high for local dim sum shop. The seat here is limited but delivery is available!
Chili paste is one of the secret here! Adding it will add a little kick for those who love spicy.

Tuang is run by Hong Kong-born chef Yip, who was behind the success of Shangri-La Bangkok’s Shang Palace restaurant. While almost everything is a can’t-miss, the most noteworthy dishes include shrimp with rice flour roll (B60) and har gow (steamed shrimp dumpling, B60).

No trip to Hong Kong is complete without a meal of dim sum, a range of small dishes still enjoyed as brunch by the city’s residents today, as it has been for many decades. To explore what makes the best yumcha, as the cuisine is locally known, we go to two time-honored restaurants. The family that owns Lin Heung Kui and Lin Heung Tea House have been running dim sum eateries in the city center for nearly a hundred years. In an episode that is both savory and informative, we follow the work of the top chefs at the restaurants, from the time that they get up in the morning, long before the rest of the city.

Thank you to Chef Num ( from Samuay & Sons ( for taking us to the morning market and the amazing laap duck restaurant.

We started this ultimate Thai street food tour of Udon Thani at the bustling morning market. For breakfast we stopped to eat a bowl of Vietnamese noodles called Bun Moc (Price - 25 THB ($0.83). There’s a long history with Vietnam also in Udon Thani and throughout Isan. This bowl of noodles was delicious, using soft rice noodles, pork meatballs, and a tart tomato broth. ???? Taew Laap Bet (แต๋วลาบเป็ด - Chef Num took us to one of his favorite restaurants in Udon Thani, a shophouse specializing in all things duck - and were talking from the flippers to the beak and everything in between. But their most famous dish is their laap, a minced meat mixture that includes spices and herbs, and ehtie version, with raw duck blood. Total price - 535 THB ($17.84)

???? Som Tam Benjang (ส้มตำเบญจางค์ - You cannot go to Udon Thani without eating green papaya salad, or Isan Lao style pounded salads, and Som Tam Benjang (ส้มตำเบญจางค์) is one of the best places in the city. $1 Dim Sum Mountain Feast! Trang Province Is A Thai Food Paradise

TRANG, THAILAND - Is famous for the Thai street food, especially Thai dim sum skyscrapers and the Trang Roast Pork (Trang Moo Yang). In today's video I am going to take you on a Asian food tour around the historical city of Trang. Trang street food is amazing. We start off with the ultimate roast pork, so good I have to buy extra to takeaway. This was the best I’ve ever had of Trang style roasted pork. Next I had to a famous bakery here in Trang, service traditional Trang biscuits and pastries, the staff here are so friendly and you can really see why they are so famous and so busy when you try the pastries. Next, a $1 dim feast, Trang is famous for its dim sum and most of it is eaten at breakfast. I have found that breakfast in Trang is huge and the dim sum houses are packed every morning. This Thai dim sum is awesome and I filled myself on the baskets, each costing roughly $1. Finally, after some sightseeing, there are some cool things to do in Trang. I head to the night street food market for dinner. I love night markets and this one is small but friendly and full of delicious Asian food.

I had a lot of fun and ate a lot on this market eating street food Tour in Trang, Thailand.

This is a dim sum breakfast my family and I had recently at a Thai Dim Sum restaurant, Pae Yim Dim Sum, (แป๊ะยิ้มติ่มซำ aka Poppers Smile Dim Sum) in Krabi Town, in Krabi Thailand. The range of food and the prices make this a great eating option in Krabi Town.

Pae Yim Dim Sum restaurant is at Google Maps:
It’s open from 5:30am till 12pm every day.

The meal we had in the video was 396 baht ($12.61 US), including drinks. The restaurant is well located, clean, and comfortable and the staff are friendly. I can definitely recommend visiting this place if you’re in Krabi Thailand and you love dim sum.
