From Georgetown, we took the Windward Highway to the southeast coast, towards the Blue Lagoon bay and points in between. As we approached Kingstown, our drive by tour of the island was ending. With one final stop at a lookout point at Cane Garden for a view of the Celebrity Summit docked at the harbour.

Capturing the current landscape of Georgetown and the surrounding areas. Although most of the buildings near the sea front in Bay Road and Langley Park, has been affected by the sea there are many beautiful replacement homes within the interior of these villages which I am hoping to show you in future videos.

St Vincent - Caribbean Island - Taxi Ride from the Airport - Sept 2017
I video the taxi ride from the airport in St Vincent. Airport code SVD. I am going to my Airbnb. This is finally a new country that I have not been to before. The cost was $23 USD. The local currency is Eastern Caribbean Dollars, but I only had USD. It was starting to get dark and I used my phone to video. So the quality is not as usual.

I walk along the boardwalk in Villa, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, then take a taxi to the Port of Kingstown. In the nation’s capital, I board the Bequia Express ferry to the northernmost island in the Grenadines, Bequia Island.

Starting to Drive Leeward Hwy on West Coast of St. Vincent Island
Leaving Fort Charlotte in Kingstown, capital of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, I begin driving the Leeward Highway up the west coast of St. Vincent Island. I pass through Pembroke, two road-repair zones, and then the village of Layou.
Southbound Leeward Highway, St. Vincent
After reaching the end of the Leeward Highway up the west coast of St. Vincent Island, I drive southbound, passing an abandoned Yukon pickup on the road. I drive through Cumberland Beach, Spring Village, several narrow blind curves, and see the sunset. After sundown, I continue southbound back to my hotel in Villa with a pretty sky.
Leeward Highway of St. Vincent: Couls Hill, Rose Hall, Rose Bank, & Chateaubelair
I continue my drive on the Leeward Highway up the west coast of St. Vincent Island. I pass through Couls Hill, then take the spur road into the interior village of Rose Hall (elevation 1,200 feet). I descend back to the Leeward Highway, passing through Rose Bank and then Chateaubelair.
