Riding Out The Storm - A Derecho in Wisconsin
After a full day of hiking, we came off the trail to find a storm was darkening the sky. Rather than set up camp, we decided to hop in the cars and head north to the nearby city of Rothschild, Wisconsin so we could get a cheap hotel room for the night. As we headed up north, we saw the sky grow darker and lightning flash constantly. Then the storm hit. Thankfully we weren't hit by the high winds, nor the tornadoes, but we had some close calls!

Large Wildfire Kicks off Severe Thunderstorm! Incredibly Rare Event!
On May 11th 2018 a large wildfire near the town of Goodnight, TX kicks off a large pyrocumulus cloud. This would help kicks off a severe thunderstorm that produce hail, high winds and lightning strikes that sparked other fires in the region.

this is a timelapse from st.louis of the remnants of hurricane isaac. this was shot over 5 days. it starts off before the system moves into the area and ends when it finally moves out. day 1 you can see the outer cloud bands on the south horizon. day 2 the clouds move from south to north, day 3 the clouds move from sw to ne, day 4 they move nw to se and day 5 they move from north to south. its kind of fast and hard to tell but thats the only way to do this without making it 30 mins long.

It was quite an exciting and scary situation and I recorded it on my camera.
We were camping in a forest of pine trees and many trees got blown down. We were lucky in that no one was hurt and the property damage was minimal, all given.
