The British Virgin Islands (BVI) is know as simply Virgin Islands, these islands are located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. These islands make up part of a larger group of Virgin Islands archipelago. The remaining islands are known as the U.S Virgin Islands and the Spanish Virgin Islands.

This part of the world is known for its beautiful blue waters, white sandy beaches and incredible scenery. The British Virgin Islands have a reputation for being one of the most beautiful places on earth. Not only that, but the BVI is some of the most undeveloped islands of the Caribbean, this untouched feeling only adds to the beautiful drone and aerial footage that is in this video.

There are over 60 islands that make up this reign, some of which are privately owned, not all of them are in this video but some of them are known as Beef Island, Cooper Island, Ginger Island, Great Camanoe, Great Thatch, Guana Island, Little Thatch, Mosquito Island, Necker Island, Norman Island, Peter Island, Salt Island, Prickly Pear, Eustatia, Saba Rock, Frenchman's Cay, Nanny Cay, Scrub Island, Sandy Cay, Green Cay, Sandy Spit, Little Jost Van Dyke, Great Tobago, Little Tobago, Dog Islands a.k.a. 2017 Joyst Van Dyke, White Beach, BVI. The Best Drone Aerial Video just prior to the Cat 5 Hurricane

** Update** On June 22nd, 2017 we were lucky enough to experience and witness the treasures of what this island offered and looked like just weeks prior to being destroyed by two category 5 hurricanes. The Trimaran Freedom filmed in this vid did survive the hurricane with a few minor bruises but the owner's sister's yacht Barbie Girl barely survived the first cat 5 hurricane by being placed on the rocks but the second hurricane ripped her transom off taking on devastating salt water and she was totaled.
Before the hurricane, picture being on a beautiful trimaran sailing yacht, a classic caribbean beach: a stretch of perfect sand, sailboats and yachts docked in the bay, lively bars slinging potent cocktails, hammocks between palm trees, lush mountains in the distance. You don't have to, just watch this vid. White Bay is the place. Oh, and did we mention snorkeling? The bay is protected by a coral reef teeming with marine life. As for that cocktail, the famed Soggy Dollar Bar claims to invented the original Painkiller, best sipped from a hammock, but we felt Ivan's had the best Painkiller just a few minutes down the beach. The watering hole's name comes from the boaters who come ashore and pay with, you guessed it, soggy dollars.
Arriving on the beautiful Trimaran Freedom at
Jost Van Dyke's arrival point could also be called the activity hub of the island, if a tiny 4-square-mile island could claim one. The main draws are the restaurants and beach bars, like Foxy's Tamarind Bar & Restaurant, Soggy Dollar, Hendo's Hideout which we loved theirMai Sandwich- Fish n Chips. Grouper sandwiches, jerk chicken wings and conch fritters are on the menu, along with blinding rum beverages and beer brewed in-house. Most all joints features live music nightly (sometimes from Foxy himself) and beach barbecues on Friday and Saturday. Visit during one of the infamous special events, like the Wooden Boat Regatta, New Years Eve or St. Patrick's Day partyOur appreciation and gratitude goes toward the entire staff and crew of the Beautiful Historic Trimaran Freedom Your local knowledge of the islands and assistance was priceless.

Captain Frederick - Thanks for bestowing us on your knowledge of these waters.
Admiral Captain Barbie - Thanks for keeping us feed and your assistance.
Captain Zen Len - Chief Engineer,a big thanks for keeping the vessel moving throughout the early mornings to insure we made all of our stops. Also running the crew and camera equipment to numerous shore lines was appreciated.

We spent the day at Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands and the timing was perfect... there was a big North swell running in the Atlantic so that meant fun times at the Bubbly Pools! The water was a spectacular turquoise this week, almost electric! After fun at the Bubbly Pools we took the dinghy around to Great Harbor and met up with Foxy at his famous bar on the beach, and he even sang a couple songs for us!

The Virgin Islands,[4] commonly known as the British Virgin Islands (BVI), is a British overseas territory located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. The islands make up part of the Virgin Islands archipelago, the remaining islands constitute the US Virgin Islands and the Spanish Virgin Islands.
The official name of the Territory is still simply the Virgin Islands, but the prefix British is often used to distinguish it from the neighbouring American territory which changed its name from the Danish West Indies to Virgin Islands of the United States in 1917. British Virgin Islands government publications continue to begin with the name The Territory of the Virgin Islands, passports simply refer to the Virgin Islands, and all laws begin with the words Virgin Islands. Moreover, the Territory's Constitutional Commission has expressed the view that every effort should be made, to encourage the use of the name Virgin Islands.[5]
The British Virgin Islands consist of the main islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Jost Van Dyke, along with over fifty other smaller islands and cays. About 15 of the islands are inhabited. The capital, Road Town, is situated on Tortola, the largest island, which is approximately 20 km (12 mi) long and 5 km (3 mi) wide. The islands have a population of about 27,800, of whom approximately 23,000 live on Tortola.
British Virgin Islanders are classed as British Overseas Territories citizens and since 2002 have had full British citizenship. Although the territory is not part of the European Union and not directly subject to EU law, its citizens are deemed to be citizens of the EU as well. Source :

Raffles Hotels & Resorts (Tortola, British Virgin Islands)

I composed the music for Raffles Hotels & Resorts for their Tortola location in the British Virgin Islands. The greatest thing about this project was going into the studio with a female singer and getting her to sing in a made-up language that sounded exotic and somewhat tribal. The music was very well received and this was great fun! Creative direction by Haymaker (Vancouver, BC).
