This drive was on a day when Sri Lanka was on a country wide lock down or Curfew owing to the preventive measures taken to control the spread the pandemic COVID 19 and I of course had to travel to office for an urgent matter and had a permit to travel to work so I had my Go Pro on to capture the very rare situation of these roads being empty. If you follow my channel and have watched my videos before you would have seen these roads that i drive in different situations and noticed that these roads are usually clogged with traffic most of the time and its almost not possible to travel on these roads like this.

Touristenort Aluthgama
Der Touristenort Aluthgama ist ca. 2,5 km lang vom Anfang bis Ende und liegt an der Westküste ( Sri-Lanka ) in Richtung Galle. Sehr viele internationale Touristen sind dort anzutreffen in den vielen Shops ( Geschäften ). Nicht nur ein großer Busbahnhof , sondern auch ein Bahnhof für Eil bzw. Schnellzüge ist am Ort.
Hikkaduwa Turtle Beach ???? | Sri Lanka
In March 2020, Josh and I visited Turtle Beach in Hikkaduwa. It was the very first time for me seeing sea turtles. We also tried some snorkelling off the beach in Hikkaduwa but the coral was mostly dead due to the Tsunami and tourism. We were supposed to head to the Maldives before getting stuck in Sri Lanka - this obviously fell through. I am very happy that I was still able to see some little fishies and the sea turtles! It was overall a great experience although I would say that people should stop trying to touch the turtles. Many many many thanks to the Turtle Wardens devoting their time to help these amazing creatures and keeping the tourists at bay!

Sri Lanka Travel: exploring Colombo City
In the summer of 2018, I worked in Sri Lanka as a mental health volunteer with SLV.Global for 3 months. Each weekend I had the opportunity to travel around this beautiful island. Here is the second weekend. We had a chilled weekend, staying at Colombo City Hostel and exploring the city. We met some interesting travellers on the rooftop terrace, saw Mamma Mia 2 (not documented here) at the cinema, visited the National Museum, and sampled the night life.

Traveling to Thailand during Covid-19: What you need to know before you go

If you're planning to travel to Thailand, here's what you'll need to know and expect if you
wishing to travel during the Covid-19 pandemic
As of October 1, Thailand had recorded over 16,500 deaths and over 1.6 million cases of Covid-19. The country is currently recovering from its worst wave since the outbreak began, with instances decreasing.
The government relaxed restrictions on arriving vaccinated overseas passengers on October 1. Vaccinated visitors traveling into Bangkok must stay in an Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facility for seven days. Travelers who have not received all of their vaccinations and arrive in Thailand by plane will be subjected to a 10-day quarantine.
The island of Phuket reopened to vaccinated foreign guests on July 1 without the need for quarantine. On July 15, the country started a similar scheme called Samui Plus on the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, and Koh Tao.
The government has announced plans to reopen other destinations, including Bangkok, in the coming weeks.
Who can go?
Passport holders from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia are exempt from obtaining a visa when visiting Thailand for tourism purposes, and are allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 45 days per visit. They are, nevertheless, needed to get a Certificate of Entry.
Tourists from non-visa-exempt countries can apply for a Special Tourist Visa (STV), which is valid for 90 days and can be renewed twice. An STV must be obtained from a Thai consulate or embassy in your home country.
All travelers who have received a Certificate of Entry are required to download the ThailandPlus Application and register. Upon arrival in Thailand they will have to show a QR code that will be scanned by the Thai authorities.
Thailand has released an online step-by-step guide offering detailed information on entry procedures
As of October 1, visitors need to stay in a Thailand Safety and Health Administration accredited (SHA+) hotel on the island for 7 days before they are allowed to travel elsewhere in the country.
Visitors to Phuket must apply for a Certificate of Entry. They must also show documentation of an insurance coverage that covers Covid-19 treatment up to $100,000, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure, and a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 with an approved vaccine given at least 14 days before their departure date.
At this time, all visitors must arrive in Phuket via direct international flights. It is not possible to transit through Bangkok.
Areas within driving distance of Bangkok have been able to benefit from domestic tourists prior to the latest restrictions, but other normally popular destinations such as Phuket and Koh Samui haven't been as fortunate.
Visitors to these destinations will find empty beaches and heavily discounted accommodation options.
In Phuket, many shops, restaurants and hotels in the southern beaches of Patong, Kata and Karon have closed due to the lack of tourists.
