Savour The Authentic Flavours Of Salem’s KONGUNADU Cuisine! MANGALA VILAS Bengaluru Takeaway

#salemcuisine #kongunadu #bangalore

salem’s oldest restaurant, non vegetarian, kongunadu cuisine, mangala vilas, egg labba, naatu kozhi leg roast, naatu kozhi pichi potta, mutton chukka fry, mutton chukka, kothu parotta, mutton biryani, koramangala, bengaluru

Over a year and a half ago, I visited Mangala Vilas, a 60plus year old eatery in Salem to explore the non vegetarian flavours of Konganadu, a unique cuisine, at the heart of which is a dark roasted masala of 15 or 16 spices. Needless to say, it was a meal quite interesting, especially having interacted with the skilled kitchen hands in Salem’s oldest non-vegetarian restaurant perhaps. The family behind Mangala Vilas have recently opened an outpost here in Namma Bengaluru, and I lost no time in ordering a big takeaway of their iconic dishes like the naatu kozhi leg roast, pichi potta fry, mutton chukka, kothu parotta, egg labba, among others. Hope you enjoy this episode; take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!
