History
In 2018 the Dollar Ridge Fire swept through the upper Strawberry, Timer Canyon and the ridges above. Although the fire did not reach the ranch boundaries, it did have an effect on the fishing. The DWR and other agencies have completed extensive work and planted thousands of fish since then. The fishing is coming back and in the near future the river will once again be a world class blue ribbon fishery. The upper Strawberry is approximately 20 miles from the Soldier Creek Dam to the Strawberry Pinnacles. Below the Strawberry Pinnacles to just above the Starvation Reservoir are private lands with only a few public access locations.
