Mamod Boulton R/C Diesel A Lockdown Special Running On The Village Railway Sunday 26th April 2020

The 16mm Village Railway in South Somerset opens its doors to a Lockdown Special with Mamod Boulton R/C diesel Castell Caernarfon in charge. The first part of the video is taken from the line side using a Sony A6400 camera in 4K. The second part is a drivers eye view of the railway using a MUVI action camera in HD mode, this being placed on a flat wagon and pushed in front of the locomotive. The bogie coach painted in BR Rail Blue is a IP Engineering generic design, the directors saloon is from a Brandbright laser cut kit. This kit was purchased from the original Brandbright not the company that now trades under the same name! I almost certain that it is not available anymore.
Thanks for watching.........

Ashford Model Railway Exhibition

Opening and completion

Opened in 2019 and according to staff, it isn't even finished yet

How to find it

From Ashford International, you can either walk or use the bus, my personal opinion is use the bus because you can get there a lot sooner and before crowd comes in, yet not many people know about it yet, when you get off the bus you are either in front of the new cinema or on bank Street, if you are on bank Street and you have just got off a bus, go left towards the new cinema, opposite where Debenhams used to be should be some doors with a Eurostar on it, open the doors then you arrived

When is it open?

I believe it's 10am to 4pm on weekends, at least Saturday, I'm not sure about Sunday

After a test run with the milk train the quarry Hunslet is now back with the Village railway......
