Planning a Colorado Ski Trip Ultimate Guide | Snowboard Traveler
Here are 10 things to consider when planning a skiing or snowboarding trip to Colorado.
1. Why Colorado 0:20
Colorado is home to about 28 ski resorts with 16 of the top 20 highest elevation in North America. That means long vertical runs and with colder temperatures, dry fluffy snow that tends to stick around.
2. Where are the resorts 0:57
Colorado mountains can be grouped into three areas. Northern, Central and Southwest. Each of these areas can have different weather patterns.

The snow is best January through mid-March then spring skiing by April.

From our experience the cost of a Colorado ski trip is around $500 per person per day. The total cost on average for a 7-day trip for two people is $7,000. Go during off peak times to find deals. The kids can miss a few days of school for shredding.
