7 Days in Slovenia: A traveler's guide to the beautiful nation
Welcome to Slovenia. This small country (the size of New Jersey) sits between Italy, Austria, and Croatia, and as you’ll see, is one of Europe’s raddest places to travel. We gave ourselves a week. Starting off in Lake Bled, we swam in one of the most postcard looking lakes you’ve ever seen before heading off to sail in the Adriatic. From here we explored the Soča Valley — a region with turquoise blue rivers and limitless adventure options. Farm to table food and family-run wineries are a way of life in Slovenia, and we were stoked to spend time with world famous chef Ana RoŠ from HiŠa Franko restaurant as well as Aleš Kristančič, the storied winemaker of Movia vineyards. Don’t overlook this country when thinking of your next travels to Europe.

I spent 7 days travelling round one of Europe's best kept secrets, the gorgeous country of Slovenia.
Starting in the picturesque capital of Ljubljana, I then made my way round to Lake Bohinj, where I took the cable car up to Mt Vogel.
I went white water rafting near Bled before swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Bled itself.
Then I travelled round to the Soča Valley and stayed in Bovec where I went canyoning, zip-lining and took the cable car up to Mt Kanin.

SLOVENIA. Summer 2018
Me, my girlfriend and our dog Dustin visited Slovenia and Italy this summer. We stayed at Bled for 2 days, visited capital city Ljubljana, beautiful castle Predjama and then traveled to Piran. On the way home we stopped by waterfall Kozjak.
We really enjoyed our trip and sure we will return someday.

Instagram: | Lake Bled! I took my mum to Ljubljana, Slovenia for a few days. It was our first time in the country and we thought it was wonderful. I would want to go back most probably in the Summer when the weather is much warmer or in Winter during Skiing season! We got an early EasyJet Flight from London Stansted Airport to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport. We missed the flight we were initially supposed to get on but managed to get on another flight the next day and it left on time. The returning from Ljubljana to London however was delayed and there weren't many good food options at the airport. Nevertheless, we made it back safe and sound :)

In this episode Mark and I are leaving Croatia. We are taking the bus right across the border to the small country that Slovenia is and are pretty impressed by the landscape awaiting us there.
We arrive in Slovenia's capital city Ljubljana and are again very impressed. It is beautiful and has such a good atmosphere! After a bit of research we learn that it's one of the safest capital cities in the world and has won the green city award in Europe this year (2016).
We can't wait to go exploring. Mark is super keen on climbing up to the castle to get a good look at some medieval buildings as well as the surrounding mountains. Little did we know how disappointed he's be by the end of the day. Only the downpour of rain in the evening can match his feelings of despair and utter disappointment. Go and see for yourself what got him so upset.
