Orcas Attack Great White Shark - Neptune Islands, South Australia.

Read about this epic event here

Apex predator vs Apex predator! It is a rare opportunity that one has to witness a battle of nature that is of such raw power, where the only certainty is that only one will survive and the clash will be violent and spectacular.

Such was the confrontation that was witnessed 20 metres off the back of Adventure Bay Charters Shark Diving vessel Shark Warrior, at the Neptune Islands off Port Lincoln, South Australia.

This video is an eye-witness account of the moment a pod of Orca's attacked and killed a Great White Shark while amazed customers and Adventure Bay Charters crew looked on.

Every person on the boat that day will remember what they witnessed for the rest of their lives.

Thanks to Mark Thomas from Missing Link Media Port Lincoln for putting this video together and our great passengers on that day for sharing their footage.

A stranded orca was freed from a rocky coastline in Alaska after being stuck for hours

A stranded orca was freed from a rocky coastline in Alaska after being stuck for hours
An orca that became stranded on a rocky beach in Prince of Wales Island, Alaska, Thursday morning was freed with the help of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and sailors who happened to be nearby.

The stranded killer whale was first discovered on the rocks by a nearby vessel, the Steadfast, according to NOAA, who authorized them to use a seawater pump to keep the whale wet and any birds away, NOAA spokesperson Julie Fair told CNN.
The boat crew kept an eye on the whale until a NOAA officer and Alaska Wildlife Troopers arrived.
At times during the stranding, the killer whale was vocalizing and other killer whales were spotted in the vicinity,

Northernmost Tip of Denmark - Grenen in Skagen Where Skagerrak and Kattegat Meet

The other day i went over to Denmark to dwell a bit on its northernmost tip. It’s called Grenen and is just a walking distance north of Skagen. It was an off-season day for the site with usually attracts tourists. No wonder because two seas meet there, Skagerrak and Kattegat. Otherwise most of the day was spent in a relaxed mood listening to audiobooks =)

Communication attempt between Orcas and human | Kapr Divers | February 2017

Kapr Divers, Whale Safari & Northern Light tours

Saturday afternoon on our small boat (and in the water around it) in Norwegian sea.
Unforgettable day, spending hours with this group, watching their cooperation by hunt for herrings and social behaviour after.
After feeding Killer Whales become as curios as we were. They swam close to the our boat, to Janka /snorkelling girl with orange strap on mask/. They came so close, stop and watch each other try to understand. Checking from under and above with spy hops, sending love... See how long is the Orca stopped in front of the girl. They tried to communicate watching each other eyes...
Breathtaking moments!

Surrounded by Orcas

One of the most amazing encounters, these orcas surrounded our boat on June 5, 2018 on the Orca Quest Cruise! This is the AD8 pod of resident Alaskan orcas. The two swimming under the boat are both males, named Skana and Tatitlek. The last animal you see is named Stiation, who was born in 2014. In total, this pod has 9 animals and is led by the matriarch Auxlu, who was first identified in 1979.

Snorkeling with Orcas & Humpback Whales | Kapr Divers | February 2015

Orcas and humpback whales, Norway

Videos from my astonishing encounter with Orcas and humpback whales in Norway. For a few days, we were going out on a small yacht searching for them. Slowly we get near with luck to be a witness of their hunt, relax or playtime.
Sometimes they came close - curiously checking me snorkeling in the water. Hard to describe the feeling be near so ... just moving my arm could possibly touch them.
Amazing.

There is a bigger and bigger amount of spring-spawning herring and mackerel in the Norwegian Sea in the past years. Because of this, probably the largest gathering of Orcas and Humpback whales in the world take place in the Norwegian fjords.

Join us - this winter!

Long Beach Whale Watching Orcas hunting and feeding January 24, 2018

Capt Erik from Harbor Breeze Cruises, Long Beach whale watching company, found a pod of Orcas, which are rare! Even more rare is to capture video of them hunting and feeding in the wild. Orcas are highly social animals and hunt in groups, or pods, which are categorized by matrilineal lines. Some lucky whale watchers today got the opportunity to witness this rarely seen activity of the Orcas 'playing' with their prey. Orcas are one of the largest members of the toothed whale (dolphin) family. They can reach speeds up to 30 mph and use their size and agility to capture prey of all kinds, including other whales and dolphins, fish, sharks, and sea lions. Harbor Breeze Cruises' passengers got to witness these magnificent mammals exhibiting rare natural behavior in the wild off the coast of Los Angeles.

Harbor Breeze Cruises offer daily whale watching Long Beach and whale watching Los Angeles trips.
