Serekunda is the largest urban centre in The Gambia. It is situated close to the Atlantic coast, 13 km (8 mi) south-west of the capital, Banjul, and is formed of nine villages which have grown together into a larger urban area.
The Gambia, officially the Republic of The Gambia, is a country in West Africa that is almost entirely surrounded by Senegal with the exception of its western coastline along the Atlantic Ocean. It is the smallest country within mainland Africa.
The Gambia is situated on both sides of the lower reaches of the Gambia River, the nation's namesake, which flows through the centre of The Gambia and empties into the Atlantic Ocean. It has an area of 10,689 square kilometres (4,127 sq mi) with a population of 1,857,181 as of the April 2013 census. Banjul is the Gambian capital and the largest cities are Serekunda and Brikama.

Muslim prayer ritual, West Africa village
A minority people group in West Africa perform the Muslim prayer ritual. The Arabic phrase Allah akbar - God is the greatest or God is greater - is called out repeatedly. It is not a prayer to God, but a prayer which says something about God. To these people the performance of this prayer ritual is the most important key to obtaining good merit, which it is hoped God will take into account, and as a result forgive sins. First Month In Africa: Musings And Frustrations
Hey Y'all!
I this video I have emerged from being under the weather and not doing anything for 10 days. I hit one month here in Dar (1/31) which s super exciting however, I'm still facing some challenges with getting a SIM card and internet in general. I go to Zuku and Vodacom to try in resolve these issues. I also stubble on a beautiful plant nursery, y'all the abundance of these plants out here is amazing.
(My energy is kinda of low is this video because I saw sick)
