Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean.
To reach La Digue - take a ferry from Mahe or Praslin. The trip around 1 hour to Praslin and 15 minutes to La Digue.
The island itself is not big at all, and all you need is just the bike and 10 minutes to reach the nearest beach. I will show you the beautiful spots on this small island with my drone, and definitely you will like it.

The Seychelles are an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa. The capital Victoria is on Mahé, the starting point for visiting the other islands. The island also offers rainforests in the mountains of the Morne Seychellois National Park and beaches such as Beau Vallon and Anse Takamaka.
La Digue is the smallest of the three main inhabited islands of the Seychelles. Around 2200 inhabitants, called Diguois, live on 10 square kilometers. The beach section Anse Source d’Argent with its granite formations is considered a dream beach and is a popular tourist destination
Topographically, the Seychelles belong to Africa. They lie on the northern and western part of the Mascarene Ridge, a submarine threshold in the western part of the Indian Ocean. South of the Seychelles and off the East African coast lie the island states of Madagascar, Mauritius and the Comoros.

4K Drone Footage - La Digue Island, Seychelles
Last summer I was in Seychelles for summer vacations and while I was there I was able to capture a lot of footage and I have combined the best shots into this video. I spent several hours planning my flight paths in advance and I used the Autel Evo2Pro drone in 4K mode to capture these shots. I took safety precautions to fly safely and within the drone rules.

Seychelles 4K - La Digue Islands Paradise on Earth
La Digue is an island in the Seychelles. It is located 43 km northeast of the capital city of Victoria. It has an area of 10 km² and is the fifth largest inhabited Seychelles island. It is home to around 2,800 inhabitants, who mostly speak Seychellois Creole and profess the Roman Catholic religion. The largest settlement on the island is La Passe.
The uninhabited island was discovered in 1742 by the French navigator Lazare Picault and called it Ìle Rouge, the Pink Island, because of the color of the coastal rocks. Marc-Joseph Marion du Fresne landed here in 1768, and the island bears its current name after his ship La Digue (The Dam). From 1798, French colonists with black slaves settled here. In 1814, based on the Paris Peace Treaty, France ceded the Seychelles, including La Digue, to the British, who ruled there until 1976, when the Seychelles became an independent republic.
La Digue je ostrov na Seychelách. Nachází se 43 km severovýchodně od hlavního města Victorie. Má rozlohu 10 km² a je pátým největším obydleným seychelským ostrovem. Žije na něm okolo 2800 obyvatel, kteří převážně hovoří seychelskou kreolštinou a vyznávají římskokatolické náboženství. Největším sídlem na ostrově je La Passe.
Neobydlený ostrov objevil v roce 1742 francouzský mořeplavec Lazare Picault a nazval ho Ìle Rouge, Růžový ostrov, kvůli barvě pobřežních skalisek. V roce 1768 zde přistál Marc-Joseph Marion du Fresne a podle jeho lodi La Digue (Hráz) nese ostrov současné jméno. Od roku 1798 se zde usazovali francouzští kolonisté s černými otroky. V roce 1814 Francie na základě pařížské mírové smlouvy odstoupila Seychely včetně La Digue Britům, kteří zde vládli do roku 1976, kdy se Seychely staly nezávislou republikou.

La Digue is the third most populated island of the Seychelles, and fifth largest by land area, lying east of Praslin and west of Felicite Island. In terms of size it is the fourth largest granitic island of Seychelles after Mahé, Praslin and Silhouette Island. It has a population of 2,800 people, who mostly live in the west coast villages of La Passe (linked by ferry to Praslin and Mahé) and La Réunion. There is no airport on La Digue, so to get there from a foreign country, one has to fly to Victoria and continue by ferry, usually via Praslin. It has an area of 10.08 km2, which makes it relatively easy to travel around by bike or on foot.All visitors to La Digue will land in the village of La Passe on the east coast of the island, from where you can enjoy magnificent views back across the water to Praslin. The settlement is reasonably spread out, taking perhaps ten minutes to cycle from one site to the other, but is still very much a village. Although the town beaches have great views of Praslin they are by no means the most spectacular nor the best for swimming on the island.
The closest swimming beach is just to the north, over the hill and past the cemetary to Anse Severe, with Anse Patates a little further on also making a great choice for swimming and snorkelling. Further along the east coast the beaches get wilder - certainly more secluded but with wilder waves, and to reach the southernmost part of the coastal road will require strong legs as there are several steep climbs. To the south of town within the grounds of L'Union Estate is Anse Source D'Argent, the most famous beach in the Seychelles. Our favourite beaches on the island require a cycle over the hill to the south coast where you can explore Grande Anse, Petite Anse and the delightful Anse Cocos.
