DAKAR, SENEGAL - Welcome to Darkar, the largest and capital city in Senegal, West Africa! Today Pape and I are taking you on an ultimate Senegalese street food tour in Dakar - we’ll be visiting the local market, eating local dishes for lunch, fresh seafood in the afternoon, and finishing this day off with an ultimate grilled lamb Dibiterie feast. Let’s get started!

Thank you to Pape Tatandiaye (Visit Senegal

Marché Kermel ( - We started this tour today in the heart of central Dakar at one of the old markets known as Marché Kermel. It’s a small and manageable market to get a feeling for the ingredients that go into Senegalese food. At lunchtime just outside the market you’ll find a series of street food stalls that set up serving home cooked Senegalese food. You’ll find dishes like Thieboudienne (jollof rice), okra stew, sweet potato leave, mutton curry, and much more. The food is sensational, so much delicious flavors and huge plates of food. I love the “guana” local chili peppers that taste similar to scotch bonnet chilies.

African Renaissance Monument - We then toured the African Renaissance Monument, one of the icons of Senegal and Africa, to symbolize the rebuilding of Africa after colonization, and to never forget the past slavery trade.

La Maree Chez Adji ( - Next up on this ultimate street food tour in Senegal we went to the very Western tip of Africa and restaurant called La Maree Chez Adji to eat fresh lobster and sea urchins.

Dibiterie Le Mboté 1 ( - Finally to finish this day we couldn’t miss a dibiterie, Senegal’s take on grilled lamb. This is something truly spectacular, some of the world’s best grilled lamb. It’s fresh and cooked over a raging fire and served with mustard, hot sauce, and onions. Wow, absolutely stunning!

What a day in Dakar, experiencing incredible Senegalese street food!

Whole Chicken + 10 Onions!! FOOD IN AFRICA - Senegal’s Unbelievable Chicken Yassa!!

SAINT LOUIS, SENEGAL - Today we’re cooking and eating one of the most popular Senegalese foods, known as poulet yassa, or just yassa. It’s a dish of, in this case chicken, with onions and mustard sauce. You’ll find it all over Senegal and all over the world now, but originally from Senegal. It’s an amazing dish, so simple, and yet so tasty. We’re going to see the entire cooking process, and then be able to eat another amazing meal in Senegal, West Africa!

Thank you to Diana for hosting us at her amazing restaurant in old town of Saint Louis. We started with a whole local chicken, cut down and then fried in oil. The chicken was then combined with a huge bucket of onions, mustard, and a bunch of seasoning and and spices and served with rice. Again, poulet yassa is a dish that you’ll find throughout Senegal, it’s one of the most common dishes. I think it’s easy to make and it’s a food that everyone - young and old and enjoy. I was surprised at how tasty it is!

From Saint Louis we continued on this food tour to the amazing sand dunes of the Lompoul Desert of Senegal. The dunes were beautiful, we rode camels and then we ended with a local couscous dinner at the Lompoul Ecolodge. Dinner was delicious, and the local drumming was incredible - a great way to end the evening.

And that completes another delicious day, eating Senegalese food in West Africa!

Thank you to Pape Tatandiaye (Visit Senegal

Street Food in Côte d’Ivoire!! ???????? Insane VERTICAL BBQ in Abidjan (West Africa)!!

12 hour Ivorian street food tour in West Africa!
???? T-shirts:
???? Ghost Chili:

ABIDJAN, COTE D’IVOIRE - Welcome to the beautiful country of Côte d’Ivoire (also known as Ivory Coast), in the heart of West Africa. Abidjan is the biggest city, and home to some incredibly tasty street bbq - including a unique vertical bbq and some of Africa’s fastest BBQ! Today we’re going on a full Ivorian street food tour!

A huge thank you to my friend Mo Soumahoro from Belle Côte d’Ivoire ( for arranging my trip and setting up everything!

1. Breakfast - we started early in the morning and headed for a rare dish of steamed corn with thick sour milk porridge. It was unique and very hearty in the morning.

2. Plakali - One of the most beloved Ivorian foods is plakali, a thick stew of crabs and seafood with cow skin and okra. It’s a dish with so many components and texture and absolutely incredible.

3. Fried snacks - When you’re in Côte d’Ivoire you don’t want to miss all the delicious fried snack you’ll find all over Abidjan. It was awesome to hang out with Yasmine Fofana (

4. Pique chicken and fish and Ivorian choukouya - From this entire Abidjan street food tour, probably my favorite dish was the pique chicken and fish and the West African choukouya. The chicken and fish were skewered then marinated in spices and pepper then grilled in a sandbox - vertical bbq style. It kept the meat juicy and full of flavor. They also made delicious choukouya, where the chicken is first grilled, chopped, and mixed with onions and seasoning. It’s absolutely amazing.

5. Market + sandwich - Next up we continued on this West African street food tour at the market to see some local ingredients, and a tasty onion and egg sandwich.

6. Brochette and bread - Another classic Abidjan street food is grilled small skewers of meat stuffed into French bread with kankankan. It’s one of the fastest grilling techniques I’ve seen, and unbelievably tasty.

7, Grilled meat ending - Finally we had one more stop to eat more grilled meat, choukouya. Can’t get enough!

What 23 Sandwiches Look Like Around The World

Sandwiches can be defined as two pieces of bread with fillings in between. The fillings can range from meats to vegetables and spreads. Variations of this concept are found all across the globe, from the UK’s chip butty, which is basically bread and chips, to Brazil’s Bauru, which is a roll with melted cheese and roast beef. Let’s take a look at 23 sandwiches around the world.

What 23 Sandwiches Look Like Around The World

Don't Do This in Senegal! ????????

If you get the chance one day to see how the majority of the people live on this planet, it will snap you out of your castle in the sky in the west. Most people work in a 10x10 market stall or driving a bus for a couple dollars a day, they pile a family into a small flat. Travel, if anything, brings you closer to the median, to what the world looks like for most people.

Senegalese people have a beautiful nature to them. I found the banging and snorting traffic in Dakar to be the exact opposite of the genteel, almost calming disposition of most the people who live in its grasp.

The markets of Dakar and Saint-Louis are bursting with soccer jerseys and bissap and fish and electronics. There are plates of Mafé and Jollof and Yassa poisson waiting. 7 hours direct from New York and a lot more interesting than LA.

$1.49 Morocco Fast Food - SANDWICH KING!! ???? Marrakesh Street Food Tour!

???????? Morocco Street Food in Casablanca:
???? T-shirts:

MARRAKESH, MOROCCO - Welcome to the thrilling city of Marrakesh, Morocco - and a Moroccan street food paradise. Today we’re eating our way through the old town - we’ll taste some of the most famous street foods and some things we find along the way. It’s going to be an exciting day of Moroccan street food in Marrakesh!

A huge thank you to Moroccan Food Tour ( for arranging my trip to Morocco!

Breakfast - We started with breakfast donuts - known as sfenj - the dough is made into a ring by hand and deep fried. I especially loved the ones that are flattened and then filled with an egg on the inside. Next we had bisarra - Moroccan fava bean soup, which was delicious.

Zaazaa - Next up we stopped in a fruit shop and had a deluxe avocado milkshake with all sorts of toppings.

Chez Omar Sandwich Mixte - One of the highlights was Chez Omar Sandwich Mixte who makes classic Moroccan fast food sandwiches made with a mix of meats and onions and coriander all sizzled in oil on a hot plate. It’s a Moroccan street food you have to eat when you’re in Marrakesh. And it costs just 15 MAD ($1.49 USD)!

Continuing with this street food tour, we had some refreshing pomegranate juice, Loubia - Moroccan stewed white beans, and did some olives tasting.

Chez Lamine - Nothing is more famous in Marrakesh than Chez Lamine for their Mechoui - Moroccan pit roasted lamb. It’s quite a scene with all the lambs roasting in an underground oven.

Restaurant Tiznit - Full of lamb we headed to the next restaurant to try a Rabbit Tagine - Rabbit and raisins slow cooked in a clay pan, and another must eat dish in Marrakesh; Beef Tangia - Beef and spices slow cooked in clay vase.

Finally we finished this Moroccan food tour with a bowl of special local yoghurt.

Thank you again to all my friends from Moroccan Food Tour ( who made this day possible.

Frammenti di una settimana a Dakar

I NEED MY SANDWICH! LETS GO DOWNTOWN DAKAR! #Senegal #Falafel #foodie #Dakar

Sometimes I think the Vegan Gods shine their light upon me and guide me into the direction of the best, most underground, underrated, vegan spots. Since I been here, I've fallen in Love with this Restaurant called L' Orientale, in downtown Dakar. They're not total a Vegan spot but they do have veggie options & they allowed me to create my very own Falafel Sandwich!
Come vibe & ride with there. I'll show you some of the Beautiful Atlantic Ocean from the Corniche, (A road in Dakar that looks & feels just like the Venice Beach I grew up on). Then we'll drive into downtown so you can really see the place I call Africa's New York City!

Don't forget to turn post Notifications on... Next video, ya girl goes out to the Club!!
