Chinese hotpot (火锅 huǒguō) can be enjoyed in the Chinese restaurant, cooking yourself at home or nowadays trying the instant self-heating hot pot. There are so many instant hotpot brands like Haidilao, Zihaoguo, Little Sheep, Hai Chi Jia etc. Instant hot pot instructions can be confusing because they are all in Mandarin without English translation, but don't worry just follow the video. You only need water, not even hot water. Our tip, do not put too much hotpot soup base or chilli if you have lower spicy tolerance because it is very spicy! Some people drink the hot pot soup after you almost done with the hotpot in the restaurant or home but I normally don't drink the soup. What about you?

Today, I gave the Halidao self-heating hot pot a try! Here's my review after tasting it:
The tomato broth has a slightly spicy, creamy, and oily texture with a tangy tomato flavor. It reminds me of tom yum soup but with a milder sourness.
The noodles were cooked after 15 mins.
The pickled veggies were already soft, with some providing a satisfying crunch. They paired excellently with the broth.
I suggest adding a protein of your choice.
